The location is 10/10Beautiful lake views and a gorgeous large building and patio. The server we had was kind and helpful but overwhelmed by doing cash and bar service all at the same time, by herself. It was busy. She kept her smile and did a great job managing it all. This is why we are giving two stars! One for her and one for location.Wine:We tasted 6 of the wines and unfortunately did not like any. We were surprised to get our flight of wine and not receive any tasting notes on the wines from anyone. It is more of a sampling than a tasting.Ambience:The patio picnic tables are plastic. From an experience perspective the tables bring the ambience way down. The ordering system (barcodes, pagers) and beer garden style seating made this experience lacklustre. It almost felt like we were at a provincial park seating area. We did not feel like a guest and we left without finishing the wine.

I spent Sunday lunchtime with friends at Viewpointe. We ordered our food and drinks ( the selection of food wasn’t great - and the method of ordering was totally frustrating) we were each given a buzzer to go and collect our food when ready. Our friends buzzer went and they collected their food - ours didn’t when our fronds had almost finished our food (we were still waiting to be buzzed) our friends looked at our buzzer number and said hey I am sure I saw that number when we collected ours - I went and looked and sure enough there was our food … it had been sitting outside on this hot day for a while. I wanted fresh food - not prepared to eat this when it had been sitting for so long. Trying to find someone to help me was impossible - I asked the girl at the cash desk “she was too busy l and said I had to wait . I went into the store the lady in their said she don’t know what to do and did not know where the manager was . I asked on the kitchen they were not prepared to help either. WHAT A WAY TO KILL A LUNCH WITH GOOD FRIENDS. Eventually I found someone who said they were a manger and she arranged for my food to be changed and would let me k ow when it was ready. No real apology just “well we are busy” - honestly not wasn’t really busy at all. The food came - it was mediocre at best and served in their “speciality” take out containers . We left after eating . All four of us vowing not to use this winery again… there are plenty of others to choose from. I have one star because the view is lovely. Knocked off stars for the service ( there was not any) the food (blah)the ambience and the take out containers. On a plus. It’s we hot Dairy Queen after .. great ice cream service and seating .If you are reading this because you want ab honest review I would say”GIVE VEWPOINTE A MISS”

The views from the patio are lovely. The prices are fair. Those are the only two positive things I have to say. The staff is terrible. Everyone was running around having no clue what anyone else was doing. At one point there were actually no employees inside the entire facility and once they all returned, they were all confused on where the other ones were. Wine wasn’t great either. If I were the owner, I would learn to cross, train my staff and teach at least one to remain on the sales floor.

Because this is their $38 large charcuterie board (which doesn’t even come on a “board”), and on top of it all, they serve your wine and alcohol in plastic cups if you are sitting outside. No other winery does this. It just gave an unpleasant experience. We cancelled the rest of the food and went down the road to the other winery which was more impressive. Lastly, you had to go get it yourself, your food order, after being paged for your order…. This is a WINERY not the local bar or fast food restaurant.

We absolutely love their red wines. Their tastings are great & the view is magnificent. They often have sales by the bottle & by the case. They also offer delivery to your door throughout Essex County for a min order of $180. We will continue to support this local winery. Well worth the trip to check it out for yourself.

We had high hopes due to the lakeside location, and while the water view is nice and the wine is lovely, the customer experience was disappointing. Being served a flight of wine in plastic cups is my biggest gripe. Providing plastic cutlery with our food wasn't impressive. If you're sitting outside you have to go in to place your order or ask for anything extra. I suppose I was expecting a restaurant-like experience but they are taking a different approach.

Take my review with a grain of salt as the low score might be a one off experience, but my group didnt find any of the wines to be good at all. Perhaps all of our samples were off, but my group of 4 all chose different wines and didnt enjoy any of them.Beyond the wine, however, the service was good and the views definitely made up for it

We have visited a lot of wineries in Ontario, this is one of the most beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. I don't go to wineries to buy food, so I cannot comment on their food services, but they have amazing Cab Franc, which is presently on sale. We, by chance, had an opportunity to meet the owner - a very impressive man, who is making a great efforts to save endangered swallow populations and working towards producing some of the best Cab Franc in Ontario.

Okay, 5 stars? For us, a winery review comes down to 2 questions:1. What is the team trying to achieve, and 2. How close are they?Viewpoint exemplifies the "judge them by their own goals" grading philosophy. They are shooting at four targets, and hitting all four.1. Produce novel, affordable, easy drinking wines. Their "Old 18A" rosé is the exemplar here, a big dry rosé that laughs "summertime!" whenever you open a bottle.2. Produce competitive, affordable, mid-level wines. The Cabernet Franc, a stalwart of southern Ontario, punches in right on target here. A big, tasty red with reasonably balanced tannins (oak tannin plus cluster tannin) that can be enjoyed today or cellared for 6 or 8 years with confident development.3. Library releases to show off cellaring potential. Sure, a winery can suggest holding a vintage for x number of years, but how certain can you be? Library releases put the truth on the table. Viewpoint's recent release of 2012's proves the point: their best vintages are worth waiting for in your cellar.4. Crowd-pleasing food and entertainment. Ok, here's where I get off the bus. But that's because my tastes run far wide of "popular" food (I'm looking at you, fried-food lovers) and "popular" entertainment (I'm looking at you, Baby Boomers). But look, just because those things aren't my thing doesn't take away from the fact that Viewpoint delivers EXACTLY what they are setting out to achieve: popular food, on the patio, by the lake, with live music the clientele enjoys. How can I downrate that?Viewpoint offers a full range of quality wines at reasonable prices that you can take home, have delivered, or enjoy on the patio or down by the lake, with views that don't stop. Judging them by THEIR goals? 5 stars. Check them out.Easy drive from Detroit, London, or Toronto.Friendly staff.Comfortable seating indoors and out.Easy parking.Groups welcome.Tours welcome.

It's a great location. If you're doing a wine tour of the local wineries, start here. The wine is similar, the people are very friendly and the location is very nice on the shore, However, the facility seems like they spent a lot of money and then stopped on the landscaping and other furnishings, so it feels "unfinished."Definitely put this place on your tour.

Underwhelmed with our visit to Viewpointe this year. Location is lovely as always. Did not enjoy the beer garden and ticket system. Felt as though we were waiting in line at an arena convenor stand. We were there for over an hour and at no point did they have the advertised wine slushies ready. Also tried some wines and did not love any. Music on patio was nice. Plastic tables and chairs need an upgrade. No employees walking around to clean up garbage as tables left. Unsure if we will return.
Cassandra J — Google review
Very disappointed, no service at all, nice place but terrible food. No service. What a difference from last time we came a few years ago when there was table service. Plastic glass for wine. Self service. Will never come back. What a waste.
Melida R — Google review
Four of us went there for lunch today. I will start with waiting for over 25 minutes for someone to talk to, for our order, they brought the drinks 20 minutes later so we ordered our food right away. Food was ready 20 minutes later, no napkins and no utensils. The food came in plastic takeout containers and was terrible. I have never had such a horrible experience. I will never go back and never recommend this place even to someone I don’t like.
Ed — Google review
We used to love Viewpointe but, frustratingly, the once respected gem has gone from classy to trashy with a ticket system unsuitable for this calibre of establishment or genre of hospitality, i.e. wine tasting. The classic horseshoe bar was once home to lively down-to-earth banter over quality wine adjacent to windows overlooking the lake. Now? Confused staff bump into each other while directing innocent victims to purchase tickets "there" to be redeemed "here". . . lost in the shuffle is the warmth and care dissipated by COVID-era mandates never to be resurrected. Not only do we not feel at home at Viewpointe anymore, we don't even feel welcome. Please PLEASE restore your greatness by hiring a high quality Manager with talent and personality plus passion for reclaiming your position as THE top wine-tasting experience in Essex County.
Ken — Google review
One thing that Viewpointe has over all the other wineries is their view - you can't get closer to Lake Erie! I enjoy a sweet wine and although they have a lot of options, none are to my taste. They have a couple varieties of Reisling though which I was happy to see. As many have mentioned before me, I found them to be underserviced and unorganized during my visit. I'll come back for the fries (reasonably priced, large portion, and so good) and maybe a frose!

Don’t know where to start…. The owner of this winery has no idea what he’s doing to this place. CLUELESS to say the least. We show up great big building great view. Cordial staff. You need to scan a barcode to be seated, served and get orders. You get a pager to pick up your own food. Wait staff don’t serve you anything in person. Outdoor patio patrons walk 100 ft to get their own food BEEP BEEP pager. LOL….been to over a dozen wineries within the last year in this region. I’m from Windsor. 1st winery to serve wine in plastic cups for the FLIGHTS AND GLASSES….JUST BRUTAL….We cancelled the remainder of our order after our CHARCUTERIE BOARD which we picked up from the front door after buzzard went off. It was served in a PLASTIC CONTAINER meant for STRAWBERRIES you’d buy at a grocery store. How pitiful. NoNapkins utensils. Potential dipping sauces etc… no plates. Oh, and no SERVER assistance. Do everything for yourself. This is suppose to be a winery. Not a buffet. No LOCAL BEVERAGES to choose from like IP KINGSVILLE BREWERY BEERS like other wineries supporting local businesses. Home brand was horrible. Wineries like restaurants are there to SERVE PEOPLE….C’mon, Cooks/kitchen staff need to be retrained by Gordon Ramsey, what a kitchen nightmare …..LOL…. I was afraid for our group being served our food in another strawberry container. BAHAHAHAHA it’s unfortunate the girls that work here have no say in RE ESTABLISHING this into a legitimate Winery. No common sense used here. Sad to say the least. HIRE an outside consultant to CHANGE EVERYTHING. Servers were fine.I would sell this place if I owned it. It’s not worth the Tax Right off that it is.What a Shame though. Has a lot of potential.Lastly Its called a “Charcuterie board” for a reason. It’s to be SERVED ON A BOARD

Visited Viewpoints Winery today. What an amazing venue! Gorgeous views of the Lake, enjoyed a generous charcuterie board while sipping on their in house Blonde Ale. Service here is outstanding! Would highly recommend. Can't wait for Perchapslooza on Aug 24th!!

Website needs updating.Drove out for wine and food on a Sunday.Advertised as:Kitchen HoursFull Menu Daily except Tuesday(Charcuterie Box & Dessert on Tuesday)12pm-4pm (until 6pm Sat&Sun)Sunday 4:30pm and the kitchen is closed.Confusing ordering system, bizarre tickets that need to be purchased.Plastic glasses.Hours of business on their own website vs. Google are not the same.
Travis B — Google review
The purchase of drinks tickets set the tone for this mismanaged winery. To be clear the building and grounds are beautiful though the interior is filled with “gitchy” items. They have greatly missed the mark here offering barely manageable wines not consumable even as a home brew along side slushy cocktail fit for the county fair. A winery should be a refined experience not a charcuterie board served in a plastic container. Get new management and a fresh new set of eyes and talent… I don’t know how you’ll survive without!

The museum Greenfield Village is located in Detroit and was founded by Henry Ford. The attractions include buildings from America's history that have been relocated to the open-air museum. The land that the museum occupies is also used for forests, rivers, and pasture for horses and sheep.
This was a nice piece of the Henry Ford Museum/Theme Park, it is a great place to bring your kids and enjoy a day outside. Teach your kids some great American history, eat ice cream and take them for a ride in a model T. Everyone was so nice and seems like a lot of the staff have a piece of history tied to this place. I would definitely recommend a visit here while in Detroit.

October 2024 - came here for the Halloween event on a Sunday. My 3 daughters from 7-12 had a great time. They loved the story about the headless horseman, playground, and meeting the people that worked there. They loved the woman in white. We got to see people making glass sculptures, blankets, mugs and other things. A very neat process and I am glad my children got to see it.

Attended the Christmas event they offered. We stopped by the Mini Donut Truck inside the park. After consuming the mini donuts, I got the worst food poisoning I’ve probably had in my life. I’m assuming the donuts might have been undercooked, as they had a huge line and most likely wanted to get orders out quick. The village had a few Christmas attractions, but it felt like it wasn’t as eventful as the Halloween one per se. Overall, I would give them another chance to see the village but maybe avoid the mini donuts this time.

Wonderful place to visit. Train ride around the outside of the village, Model T rides, horse drawn carriages, plus all the historic buildings to visit. Plenty of benches to rest. Clean, abundant bathrooms. Air conditioned cafeteria to grab a bite and cool off.

I chaperone field trips whenever possible, and I'm glad I did this one! It was my first time here, and it is beautiful. Of course, the prices are ridiculous for most things, but it is defined an experience to take in. Not so much for kids less than 10, but it was interesting to see all the preserved items from the 1800's for me.

Went to Greenfield Village on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and it was amazing! We enjoyed walking around the grounds and going back in time. There are many fascinating buildings that have been completely reconstructed as they were at important turning points in history. For example, we enjoyed seeing the Wright Brothers bicycle shop, Edison's Menlo Park Complex and Henry Ford's home and first factory. Harvey Firestone's farm and the courthouse where Abraham Lincoln practiced law were other notable buildings. Greenfield Village is unique in the world and it's awesome! I highly recommend a visit. Many thanks to the great people working there. We'll be back soon!

Historic Americana everywhere at Greenfield Village. Historical working farm, shops, steam train, and Model T cars. Historically significant buildings and artifacts to see and explore. Very knowledgeable people working each building and sharing historical information with guests. Plan for a full day. Bring your wallet. Highly recommended.

Greenfield Village was an amazing experience we went to Greenfield Village but also to the Henry Ford Museum I took my daughter with me who's very much into learning about history and we enjoyed ourselves. All of the exhibits in the museum where really interesting and just seeing the evolution of cars and even the art pieces it was just really a great experience. Even the area that was dealing with black history was super informative I had never seen the actual bus that Rosa Parks was arrested from (and they had that actual bus) great experience for my kids. The Greenfield Village area with people dressed in the clothes that they wore back in during those times was really cool to see the cars that they drove in we rode on the train that was powered by coal... that was a really cool experience. Seeing how certain things were made like the Pottery area or area where they made the pottery and the guide told us about how it was made and what they used to actually decorate the pottery after it's been fired and glazed. Really cool and really good information. We got to see them actually blow glass they showed the actual method in which they used to create glass sculptures and things like that. It was really hot but it was really cool to watch... great experience overall! Definitely want to come back and take nieces and nephews and my other kids with me the next time that I go.

It’s a pure delight that we have this place in our backyards! It’s truly amazing how many significantly historical artifacts are centralized in one place. In many ways you can relive history as you walk through the Wright Brother’s shop or Thomas Edison’s workshop and more. Beyond these you can experience what life was like in days past. Many of the reinactors truly add to the experience. I recommend eating at one of the restaurants as they offer many historical dishes. I’d better stop here because I can go on and on. Check it out if you want to experience history. I’ve renewed my my membership for at least 6 years now. Our 8 yo still loves this place.

This is a delightful place to spend 3-4 hours. It is almost like going around to lots of different places instead of seeing just one. There is a very nice playground for young kids who need to take a break. Most of the people who shared information in each place were very good at reading whether you wanted to hear more or were ready to keep moving. This is truly a Michigan treasure. The price is a little steep. On the other hand, compared to something like Disney, you'll learn more, not deal with crowds or lines, food is reasonable or you can go back to your car, and the price of a single Disney ticket will probably pay for your whole family here.

I absolutely love this place. I grew up in Roseville area and now live out of state. This is a must visit when I come home. This time I was able to watch my cousin play baseball as if they were in the 1800s. My favorite time to go is Christmas.

My family really enjoys the Village! There's tons to see, do, eat, learn, and buy. I like taking my young kids here to run around. It's super spacious, so even when there's a lot of people there, it doesn't feel crowded. There's a billion places to park. Plan on doing a LOT of walking. Lots of food options (and you can bring your own in.) The Village hosts a variety of events throughout the summer that are really fun, too. There's always something to do there.

What's not to love here!?! This is my most favorite place in the whole world! My most recent visit was for Motor Muster, and it was one of the best days of my life! The Mac n Cheese from Taste of History is just the best Mac n Cheese on the planet! I'm a huge train person, so seeing the train was the coolest thing ever! We did do an emergency stop in the back because the trains breaks malfunctioned, but it was still really fun!! I love all the history there and I even went home with a souvenir, a print from the print shop!!! Can't wait to go again!! If you haven't gone yet, you're missing out!!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat!!

Greenfield Village is an amazing place. There's something here for people of all ages. An outdoor collection of historical buildings, homes, craft shops, and artifacts from all over the US (and in some cases Europe) set up into Districts. Character actors and docents are located throughout the Village to give demonstrations and answer questions. The only con was that the cost of an adult ticket ($39) and parking ($9) was a bit on the high side. Also, the property is huge, so expect to do a lot of walking.

Such a wonderful experience! My kids loved learning all of the history, and seeing what life was like 'back in olden times'. Their favorite part was riding in the Model T cars around the village!

I absolutely love visiting Greenfield village! This time when we went it was Thomas day (we didn't know before hand), we had a great time! My favorite part is the glass blowing! It's so fascinating! There were so many places to stop and so many things to do! I will be back, have always had a great experience here!

I loved this place as a kid and finally had an opportunity to go again at 69 years old. Even more impressive now.Tickets are cheaper online and they charge for parking when you buy your ticket - $9. Plus you pay extra to ride the train and a free other things. E.Where else can you actually see history like the Wright brothers bicycle shop, Edison’s actual lab, Webster’s home, and much more? So grateful Ford had thYou can bring food into the park for a picnic type lunch. Wish I’d know that ahead of time.

Went to Greenfield Village with my cousin this week! We had a great time (in-spite of undisciplined children and parents blind to their action). The village is an amazing place if you enjoy living history like we do. Working farm house visits, where the staff eat homegrown lunch and share their meal experiences as you tour the homes. We ate at an 1800’s sit-in period restaurant featuring food harvested at the village and prepared as it would have been back then. It was amazingly good.We walked the grounds and had a wonderful time. I love it when my cousin is with me. She gets me out and laughing

The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation is a sprawling space dedicated to showcasing American life and ideas. The living history exhibition hall boasts 18 intelligent touch screens and a gigantic assortment of exercises and games, while the historical centre exists in a few sections. The first includes the Museum of American Innovation, which showcases relics from the transport industry that Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat for. The museum is worth the visit for any youngster looking to learn about American history and famous figures from across the spectrum.
I’ll definitely recommend to visit this museum in Detroit. It’s so huge and you can find here a lot of different things. History of United States. Progress of different directions such as railways, cars, planes, different manual productions. They also recommend factory tour and if you get museum and factory you’ll get discount. We didn’t have enough time and went through museum only. We got tickets in the spot and were not actually even planning to go there and it was Friday so I believe you can have tickets at the door any time. Enjoy and bring your kids there are a lot of interactive elements.

There is something for everyone. History, video games, cars, civil rights, Americana and so much more. There are a ton of historical artifacts here like the Rosa Parks bus and the Kennedy car as well as the one of a kind awesome post world war two fabricated dome house. It is around $49 for the museum and the ford factory tour which is definitely worth it as well. Note there is no production on Saturdays at the factory.

My recent visit to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village was a mix of discoveries and mild disappointments. We visited on a Wednesday during the summer, so it was relatively quiet, with no school groups around. Greenfield Village seemed to be in a bit of an off-season mode, with limited displays, but we did get to see the glass blowers in action, which was definitely a highlight! The Henry Ford Museum itself is more than just cars—it's a celebration of American innovation. I particularly enjoyed the mathematics exhibit, though I felt it could have been more expansive. The subject has so much potential for an even more immersive display. One thing that caught me off guard was the lack of a Ford employee discount when purchasing tickets. While the employee website mentions a discount, this wasn’t honored at the ticket counter. It would be nice if they could address that to make the experience even better for employees.Overall, it was a good time, and I’d recommend visiting if you’re interested in American history and innovation. Just be aware of the seasonal changes in Greenfield Village and double-check any discounts ahead of time!

Our friend told us this was a must visit if we're ever in the Detroit area. I thought it was going to be a museum dedicated to Ford Motors but I was so wrong. It is an impressive collection of innovations across multiple industries though there is a big area dedicated to the history of the automotive industry, chronicling the advancements in auto technology over time. But there's so much more. I love the elaborate setups that highlighted the aviation heroes. They also have some enormous engine installations of all sorts.I love the displays that depicted highlights from the last several generations. It was nostalgic... The walkman, the pager, the Sony PS1... it was a walk down memory lane for sure.We only gave ourselves 3 hours here but you need a couple days to really go through the exhibits. There's also a tour of the Ford factory, the Greenfield Village, and so much more! A perfect way to spend a day with the family I would think.

We were in town for the Bumper-to-Bumper Auto Parts Technician of the Year Competition. As part of our appreciation itinerary was a day trip to the Henry Ford Museum. My wife & I were so amazed at the amount of history knowledge of the museum we decided to book a motel & stay after the competition, we had our kids drive up ( 17 & 12-year-old boys with a 17-year-old girlfriend) and spent another entire day here with them this time! You could honestly spend 2-3 days here to truly see & do all the activities they have! Especially if you go outside the museum and go into the makeshift city that includes Henry Ford's real childhood house, the Wright Brothers' house & bicycle shop (the shop is where they invented & constructed the airplane), with lots & lots more to do in the city! DEFINITELY BE SURE TO STOP AND GET SOME DELICIOUS CUSTARD! The little shop to get CUSTARD is right after the Wright Brothers' house!

It was one of the best museums I've ever visited. An amazing assortment of innovation under one roof. we spent an entire day there and felt as if we rushed through it. A fantastic museum dedicated to American inventions and industry.Came here on a weekday to walk around while it was quiet. We had a great time. The trains and planes are especially amazing to see inside a building, they are just massive.Everything is great and while the layout may seem unintuitive it's actually great because you can wander any direction you like.I can't recommend them enough.

I went to the Henry Ford museum with my grandparents and younger brother for a 3 day trip which I do recommend as it takes one day to drive, one day for the museum, and one day for the village. I also highly recommend the Rouge factory tour during a week day so you can see the Ford F150’s during the building process. I was lucky when I went on a Saturday and they were building the F150’s as they normally don’t work Saturday’s and are closed Sunday. We payed for the Family membership which I highly recommend as it covers two people whose names are on the membership along with two children/grandchildren, the membership also covers the admission for the village. The member ship costed I believe 140$ is person and is 215$ online, but for an additional fee the membership can cover all rides at the village. With the membership in general you get 10% off all store merchandise.

Our family stopped in to visit the museum on the way back from a trip through Canada and we're glad we took the slight detour on our way back home. There is so much automotive and American history packed into this space. We could have spent many more hours walking around looking at exhibits but the youngest of our kids had finally had enough after 3 hours.Be sure to check out the paper airplane creation space if you have little ones. We spent the most time there tweaking our designs for the ultimate flight distance. The presidential limos and train area were really cool as well.

Very large museum. Has all types of things and not just vehicles. Steam engines, firearms, furniture, farm equipment, violins, trains, planes, and more.. The vehicles were awesome, not just Ford vehicles but others as well. I think the layout could be a little better, so it would flow better, but still a great place. Tickets were not too expensive and there is a fee to park. Takes several hours to walk through. The Presidential cars were very neat to look at. There are restaurants there for food and drinks, as well as a souvenir shop. Highly recommended to stop by if you are in the Detroit area.

A great day for our 4 generation group. Recommend using the app.caution: high noise level at the Dinosaur Exhibit was unexpected. Kids loved it but taxing on older ears.Noise level in the cafeteria was so loud it triggered some anxiety while ordering and eating.Exhibits outstanding. Be sure to have bluetooth on when using the app.Only problem was person bringing politics into the museum and pestering my family. They finally disengaged.

This museum is truly amazing. Hands down the best in the Midwest! You can spend a whole day and still not experience it all.It got 4 stars because of the parking fee. We bought our tickets online and it automatically adds a parking fee that cannot be removed from your cart. We took an Uber from our hotel but still were forced to pay for parking.

If you've ever wondered whether or not the grass is greener somewhere else, then you should take a trip to The Henry Ford and see and feel how green the grass there really is.Everything I visit, it is exciting and interesting. There are great places to eat and drink for every budget. If you take your own picnic, then I'm sure you'll find a calm place on a lawn to enjoy.I just went to the Old Car Show, and it was full of enthusiastic, fun loving folks who were having a wonderful time sharing their interest in old cars.If you go to the village, try to stop in each of the homes, because you might something wonderfully unexpected. For instance, I just found out that the on-site Loranger Mill, a grist mill, runs about 3 times a year. All of the buildings and exhibits are well done, informative, and engaging to meet any time of the year. The Henry Ford is a truly joyful place to visit.

Fantastic place to visit! Don't think this is just a car museum, it is a museum of innovation with Greenfield Village capturing places in history. It was such a delightful experience. Henry Ford had the foresight to save so many treasures. You definitely need two day to really see it all.

Hands down the most fascinating museum of all time and to think how priceless this exhibit is! You see everything from the light bulb is invented to the car JFK was assassinated to riding in the cars that put the world on wheels…..the Model T. You can watch glass blowing, pottery making, knitting and weaving, printing and more! There is so much effort and truly honoring exhibits to the American legacy as a country and the inventions made that have bettered the lives of many for more than a century! What an honor to come see all this in person! They even had a Tucker Torpedo! Such a rare vehicle! You can go in trains and the stations for kids were neat too! Kids could do some neat projects too! Hands down a MUST

My boyfriend and I visited the Ford museum the end of August last year. We live about 6 hours away in Kentucky. He works in the automotive industry. We both enjoy learning and going to museums. This museum was spectacular! It was huge! It definitely takes a few hours to get through. We bought our tickets once we arrived. You can also purchase them online in advance. There is plenty of parking. There is a restaurant inside the museum as well as a food court area. We had a great day! We did not go to the Village but plan to go there next time!

Exceeded my expectations! This place is broken up into so many subcategories and is so massive it just goes on and on and I really was blown away by it!If you want to see everything you need to plan on a couple days. There are tickets that you can buy that you can keep overnight and bring back the next day if that's necessary in your situation.I only went through the museum itself which would be 3 to 4 hours if you walk briskly. There's also the village area which would take an entire day as well. At the time of writing this the museum ticket was $35 per adult in the village area ticket was $41 per adult. The museum has an area with miniature doll houses, steam engines, agricultural equipment from long ago, etc. There was even mathematics exhibit and science center where you can get your geek on... There were a lot of kids in this area as well as the area that had dinosaurs. There are full size airplanes hanging. There were massive train engines and cars throughout the exhibit showing you how massive and big this building is!I did not see everything so I look forward to going back someday!

The most fantastic museum I've ever seen. Planes Trains & Automobiles a time capsule of modern human civilization. So much to see. This museum and Greenfield village would take several days to see everything.

I brought a friend from Texas here to see some of our great Michigan history. We were not disappointed. I have been to the museum with my kids when they were in grade school but this was the first time on my own. Everyone was helpful and the place was clean and safe. There is a lot of walking so leave yourself several hours to see it all.

Twelve Oaks Mall
Shopping mall
Shopping
Spacious shopping center featuring a wide variety of upscale retailers, restaurants & events.
Lovely mall! Many malls are going down but this one is not - it's thriving and that's so nice. Although I do some shopping online, I prefer to shop in person to see the merchandise quality and feel. For clothes that's essential for me, but I prefer to shop in person for most things. A mall is perfect for that and this mall is wonderful.

There is still a place in the world for malls...lots of easy parking, huge indoor space for walking, window shopping and buying cool stuff. 😎 And a BIG food court with lots of restaurants to choose from and lots of space for seating in the 5 story atrium. Definitely a fun place! ☺️

I used to visit this mall since 2012, small renovation in the kids area, the place is always clean. Unfortunately many anchor stores had closed (this is not the mall decision). Hopefully you can find new retails to fulfill those empty stores (I.e Sears)

Great mall within good distance to the metro Detroit area. Great stores, well kept, and very clean! Felt safe while visiting the mall. Will return when in need of a shopping spree. :)

Excellent mall with a lot of shopping and food options. Also, very clean and organized.

This mall is one of the best malls I've ever been to they have a variety of stores ranging from cheap and expensive and everything in the middle it is just a perfect mall for really anything! The staff is always so nice and I love it so much it's a very nice small with an amazing variety of stores I highly recommend for really if you want to do anything or just walk around it's a very fun mall that has couches and has places to sit. They also have little tiny shops while you're walking around one of them is a perfume shop one of them is a phone shop and one of them is a boba shop. It's perfect and has vending machines while you walk around and an amazing food court. Highly recommended!!

Great mall. Not crowded all the time. Not overly expensive like somerset mall. Their store and food store collection could use a little work however.
John S — Google review
This is one of my favorite malls in the tri-country area. One for its central location off of the major freeways. In the mall parking lot surroundings, you have a Red Lobster, McDonald's, and Chick-fil-A ( this location is always crowded so download the app to order and move along faster). This mall opens its main doors an hour before the stores open. This is great for mall walkers. This is great especially once the colder, wet, and snow begins to roll in.The reason why I love this mall so much is because it's a great affordable activity for preschool. I love to enter at the “mall main entrance “ near Macy’s Department Store. That entrance has the Puppy store. The staff is great about letting people socialize with the puppies even if you have no intention of purchasing! Bring quarters so you can feed the pups!! Its never any pressure to buy a puppy. Then further down you have Auntie Annie Pretzels and they usually have free samples! Download that app for great deals and freebies.Kiddie corner from there is the kid's play area. You can't wear shoes so remember to bring socks. It's a cool fun time for the kids. Across from this free-play structure is a small arcade. You can use cash or a card to buy a reloadable card to play games. A notable game is the claw machines! It's play until you “win”. So at least you get something every time you play! There is a “convenience store “facing this play structure. This is great if you happen to forget your beverages/snacks or like us stay way too long. Then we need a little something. On the other side of the kid's play structure are a few coin games that you can ride on. They only take quarters. I mean they are your quarters bc I've never seen them work. The kids have just as much fun crawling around on them.Across from this area, it's a really cool toy store. It reminds me of a small Toys R Us. It's a wide range of toys for all ages and every price range. We go in and usually grab something small. We also get an idea of what the kids are eyeballing for their birthday. If you walk to the food court there is a much bigger and nice coin ride on machines. At this location, they actually work. Kids still have a lot of fun if you put money into it or not.Everything I just described I do and it takes about 4-6 hours with a 2-year-old. So this is great if you want to get out and get them tired and ready for a nap. Literally perfect for a playdate.

Lots of malls across the country are not doing great, but Twelve Oaks largely seems to be thriving, or at least dying more slowly than other malls. Though there are two vacant anchor store locations, the rest of the mall is pretty vibrant and usually pretty full of people, especially on the weekends. There is a small children's play area, and the food court has some pretty good options. The Wi-Fi is fast and there are lots of places to sit down. Parking is also ample, even during peak times.
Michael S — Google review
This is a huge mall with tons of specialty stores, the top anchor stores, a nice food court along with a variety of food stops sprinkled throughout, and a really cool kid play area. We really enjoyed spending time here.
Que S — Google review
The mall itself is great. Can’t say I’ve ever had an issue with the restrooms not being clean, or incredible messes. Customers can’t seem to hit the trash cans, but the mess is cleaned up relatively quickly. Plenty of location maps and clear signing. My biggest thing is that I wish the arrows in the parking lot would be repainted.
Sarah T — Google review
It’s our first time being in this mall, it’s nice place with many shopping and dining options
Rana S — Google review
Twelve Oaks continues to be my favorite mall to shop at for over 27 years. When other malls are being met with a wrecking ball, or being transformed into storage facilities, apartments or office spaces. Twelve Oaks manages to thrive. Despite the demise of Sears and Lord & Taylor (RIP). It’s still an awesome mall. This mall has a nice Macy’s that has been renovated and expanded. A decent JCPenney and a cool Nordstrom. And other stores like Williams Sonoma, Eddie Bauer, Apple, Crate & Barrel and many other popular stores that you would find at popular regional shopping malls. Plenty of restaurants like Cheesecake Factory and a food court. If you are a visiting the Metro Detroit area, I highly recommend a stop at Twelve Oaks Mall during your visit.
Manning T — Google review
I took my kid to the Mall slightly before 10am. The whole building was very clean. Kid friendly. Plenty of space for kids to roam and rest. We played at the play area, which is very well maintained. We love the unique design of it. There's a ride-on area right next to the play area. It costs $1 for a ride. Only 1/5 rides worked at our visit. We lost $3 due to not working rides. We went to the management office to report the issues and got our money back. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I absolutely love this mall. It was my first time here, and I can't wait until I go back again. It has a huge selection of all the best stores to shop and for every age group. It was my first time ever going into Box Lunch and it was great. Very helpful and friendly. Also, great sales. I bought a Barbie handbag.

This mall is great, usually very clean, when it's busy, it's busy, but when it's calm, it's calm, nothing really terrible about this mall either. but, I have been seeing alot more adolescents come here then before and they do seem to get a little crazy but most of the time, this mall is great, also love the food court.
Pablo C — Google review
Was in the area for a concert and decided that I wanted to show my kids what a nice prosperous mall looks like. When we arrived, I called Security to get a wheelchair and was informed that they are not a handicap friendly place. Every other mall on the planet has wheelchairs and amigos, but twelve Oaks does not have wheelchairs or amigos. It’s 2024, and it’s absolutely ridiculous that a mall this large is not handicap accessible. We will not return and I will go out of my way to make sure that any person I meet does not go there
Paula F — Google review
Clean, nice to walk/shop. Great play area for kids (one entrance/exit, soft floor, climbing objects). Could use a store to sell kids drinks/supplies. Moving car/vehicle rides (though many broken, including change machines), candy vending, etc. Large food court with lots of Strollers for rent. Lots of common spacs to sit, rest, talk.

Park
Lake Erie's only state park offers 1 mile of lakeshore with campsites plus wildlife walks & hiking.
Don't let the smoke stacks cloud your judgment of this park. It has so much to offer!Miles of scenic trails for birdwatching, running, walking and biking. The trails I hear will be getting some much needed work to ensure a safe and smooth trek. There are many fishing piers and access points to kayak the waters in and around the park. For Boat Nerds, you can watch great lake freighters out on the horizon. If you're lucky, you may see them pulling into the River Raisin just south of the park. The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous and beautiful and the pops of color are amazing. If I have on complaint, it's the human factor on the Beach. Please don't litter. There are many garbage receptacles. We can do better.

I really wanted to show my brother at least one of the Great Lakes for his bday. Lake Erie is the closest to us. We grabbed some food and went to the closest park with a beach. When we showed up we were stunned to see how big the park was. Lots and lots of parking! They have rental cabins, camping, day visiting, and a boat ramp! The water was calm and clear. We enjoyed hours of walking up and down the shore. It’s a beautiful spot to have a picnic, walk your dogs, read a book, etc. I’ve already been back with friends and my husband. We’ve all enjoyed it every time! I recommend stopping!

The park is spacious, plenty of area to explore. Large parking area. Plenty of bathrooms. Pavilions with picnic tables and grill areas. Large beach front, great for swimming and a peir I saw people fishing off of although it's a bit rocky on that end, much more rugged, not for small kids.I was thrilled to find some neat fish bones, shells and beach glass and a little baby turtle!

Visiting from Chicago and stopped by for a quick hour for fishing. Boy I'm amazed how well kept this park is, specially the fishing pier. Caught two fishes; a freshwater white drum fish and a catfish. Definitely recommended for a chill fishing trip.

My kids and I love going to our state park 😁 it's really nice, usually clean 😄 my girls love swimming and the park they offer. They have a great walking trail as well. Oh yes can't forget their campground. Plan on camping beginning of October here

Wow, what a hidden gem! This state park is truly a treasure. And, of course, no visit to this park is complete without a visit to the legendary Pee Log. This iconic log has become a beloved landmark for both tourists and locals alike, and it's easy to see why. It's the perfect spot to take a quick break and leave your mark (literally!). Overall, I highly recommend this state park to anyone looking to connect with nature and experience something truly special.

Good for family outing, there are several trails for hiking and biking, park includes campgrounds and access to beach and boat docks. Park is well maintained and there are clean bathrooms. This is a 4 rating as the cost for entry is 11 dollars, if you are planning to visit multiple times then get the annual pass.

We stayed here in our skoolie for two weeks and it's been one of our best stays to date! First off, the beach!! You're so close and there's a private area just for the campground which was never busy and was close enough that the kids could just walk over there whenever they wanted. There's also a trail that was really nice. Clean bathrooms and showers. Can't wait to go back here

This is a very nice state park with full hook up pull thru sites. Lots of water around for water activities. There's hiking trails and a playground for kids. I wasn't a fan of the big factory smoke stacks very close by.
Amy G — Google review
Really nice public boat launch, multiple restrooms, campground area, dog friendly, 2 major lakes, bike and walking trails, separate waste disposal area for campers, fishing dock in the back near the campground, and a canoe launch area. Requires a Michigan recreational pass sticker to enter the park. Stickers can also be purchased at the main gate. Very close to a nuclear power plant, you can see the twin stacks nearby. Overall, well kept and a safe park. Everyone that we ran into (guests, park rangers with guns, and staff) were really friendly!

This is one of my favorite places to go in Monroe. The beach has really been cleaned up (compared to what it was in the past so I've heard)There are trails for walking, there are docks for fishing with the kids, there's a playground, there's a full campground, there's a boat launch I can launch my swing keel sailboat.

Nice park and beachNo alcohol. No pets on the beach but let's on leash are allowed nearby. No showers at beach but you can walk a ways to the campground for showers. There was a food truck there, not sure the schedule. Nice trails. Well maintained.

Came here on a eim bc we were staying at a hotel in Monroe for the weekend for a girl's trip and came across this beach. The sand is a little sea-shelly but not terrible. Water was actually decently warm and there were plenty of areas for people to set up and benches for picnics and bbqs. Was definitely a nice relaxing spot for us to hang out for the morning/early afternoon on a Saturday. There are ants in the grass, possibly even fire ants bc where we were laying out towels I ended up getting bit 3 times and they were on fire!!! So I suggest sitting in the Sand area or on chairs to stay away from the ants/bugs. It also sucks that 2 different factories of some sort are on either side and you can see all the smoke/fumes coming from them and I'm sure that's not good for our environment 🤣 but for just the day it was perfect!! It was 11$ per car to get in. They also have camping and trails but we didn't do any of that.

We went out on a charter with your service on 09/17/2023 with Captain Ben Genzman. We had a great time and Captain Ben was so knowledgeable about the lake and the fishing. I will definitely be back and will highly recommend Captain Ben to anyone who wants to catch fish and have a great trip!

Booked a short executive 1 night and 1 day trip for yellow perch, relatively last minute, for a group of 6. Bob worked to find us a captain and secured the services of Captain Randy. Working with Bob was excellent. 10/10.Lodging was fantastic, everything you could need was provided and was very clean. The quality of the lodges, pricing, quality, and convenience are absolutely 10/10.Captain Randy. Super nice guy, very helpful and patient with some new anglers on board. Helped everyone rig up, teach people how to fish for perch, explained a whole lot. We had a pretty solid day catching some really big, and really small, perch. The weather got a bit warm so the bite wasn't as good as it could have been, but we still landed over 20lbs and had a great time. The only regret I have is not having more cash on hand for a massive tip. I couldn't recommend Randy's services enough, we'll be requesting him by name on repeat visits. Absolute 20/10.

Me and 5 other guys booked a 3 night stay and 2 day executive walleye fishing trip with sea breeze charters. Captain Mike R. Was our captain for the 2 days of fishing. Capt Mike was on em! We all caught walleye and had a multi species bag at the end of each day. He was very informative and answered every question we would throw at him. He worked hard and laughed harder with the group. Captain Kris was hands down the best captain we are yet to have while doing a charter with sea breeze charters. He put us directly on the fish and we limited out in afew short hours in mid April which doesn’t happen often! Kris definitely receives a five start review from my group. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great 2 day trip with Captain Tom Cat. Definitely put us on the fish as we brought home 30 pounds of walleye filets between 4 of us. Great lodging and Captain Tom made each day fun and productive. A great time for 4 old navy buddies getting together after .over 25 years. Will definitely be making this an annual get together with the Sea Breeze crew

I took 5 people with me on this adventure. I had heard about lake Erie walleye fishing from my dad. We where all excited to catch fish, like that meaning many at a time. I and my group all had a great time. We all knew how to fish, but not at such a pace. We had captain Tom Cat, he was awesome, just the right person for a bunch of guys. We just about limited out our first day, and did the second day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND I will go back soon. Everyone that came with is still talking about it.

Captain Tom was amazing, my husband and I with my 15 year old daughter took a private fishing charter. Captain Tom taught and allowed my daughter and myself all the techniques we needed to catch a ton of fish. We definitely had a blast and will be returning with Captain Tom. He was very patient with my daughter teaching her how to set the lines, alternate the poles and bring the fish in. She was so excited, along with my husband and my self. Captain Tom definitely knows the best spots to fish

Went out with captain Kevin and had a great time. My dad came from puerto rico to visit and I took him on his first walleye charter. He ended up catching the biggest one at 25 inches. I have been on a couple other ones and this was by far the best trip I've had. Capt Kevin showed us alot and went above and beyond. He was very knowledgeable and I definitely will be booking through sea breeze again.

We had an evening trip and a morning trip the following day with Captain Kris for walleye . We limited out on the evening trip . On the morning trip it was a tough start due to high winds and rain overnight. We still ended up the 23 fish ( which is 7 away from limiting out ) . Captain Kris worked his tail off getting us on the fish . I would highly recommend Sea Breeze Charters and Captain Kris .

Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum is a vast natural oasis consisting of sprawling gardens, woods, and prairies. This botanical garden also features a visitors center, gift shop, and conservatory which houses an impressive collection of plants. Visitors can spend hours exploring the grounds and admiring the beauty of the flora on display. The conservatory alone is worth a visit as it boasts a diverse range of plant species that captivate visitors with its natural splendor.
If you are in Ann Arbor and have time, come here! You won't regret it. First we walked along the nature trail and saw cardinals, blue jays, finches, squirrels and chipmunks, and deer. Just magical! Then we entered the gardens, which are equally as stunning. This property is immaculate and clearly well cared for. Such a great experience!

Went here on a whim. You do have to pay for parking, but the actual gardens have free admission. I was entirely blown away by the impressive collection they have and the impressive plant care. We didn't even get to see the whole grounds, so we definitely have to go back. Worth it 100%.

Matthaei Botanical Gardens in the campus of Michigan University bursts upon you, as a pleasant sprinking of nature's bounty. I visited this place in July and flowers were in full bloom. The Bonsai section caught my particular fancy. I just loved the tiny, yet mature, well groomed trees. The miniature pines are specially cute and lovely.Do visit this delightful place. It is a treat for the research scholar, as well as a nature lover.

First time in years coming back to the Botanical Garden. It is absolutely beautiful. For just the garden portion, an hour or so is plenty of time. To include the trails, maybe add on another couple of hours. When it is not so hot and humid, a longer length of time spent would be worth it too. The flowers are in full bloom and are beautiful. Really enjoyed my time there.

Such a beautiful place to go on a sunny weekend! There are multiple trails to explore and also the indoor botanical section is gorgeous and filled with a variety of different species of plants. There was also a cute koi pond inside! Ran into one rattlesnake while there, luckily they had a sign up before we went through the path, so we were on high alert and saw it in time😅Other than that, great experience!

Fantastic gardens and totally unexpected. The collections indoors are extremely well curated with some incredible specimens. Yes, the building is dated, but the plants are beautifully mature. Wonderful transitions from tropical to temperate and then arid. The bonsai collection was a total surprise and they are lucky to have been gifted so many treasures. I loved the outdoor bonsai that was much like displays in Asia. The outdoors are equally inspiring from the trails along the creeks, the fen taking shape and focus on native plants. Well done. I went during the budding spring and loved the marsh marigolds and redbuds everywhere. Definitely going to return whenever I'm in town.

The gardens are beautiful and offered lots to see. The Bonsi and Penjing Garden was neat to see the different shapes of trees, and a volunteer was there to answer questions. There is a section for succulents, herbs, desert plants, and more. Some plants were marked, and an improvement would include identifying more plants. The grounds of the facility are less well maintained, although they still offered a great walk with stops along the way to overlook Willow Pond, see a sundial, look through binoculars, and more. When I was there, I saw a blue heron in the pond and ducks, and in the garden, a humming bird and frogs. The terrain varied from grass to wood planks to cement depending on the section you were walking in of the gardens and conservatory. Parking is paid at a kiosk with entry into the park free. There are benches sprinkled throughout the grounds and picnic tables outside as well. Altogether a great place to see!

This botanical garden is a hidden gem! The variety of plants and serene atmosphere make the visit worthwhile. My favorite part was definitely the bonsai collection – so beautifully maintained and captivating. A must-visit for nature lovers!

This place is pretty well maintained and a must for people who like to be in nature. They have a bonsai garden with trees dating back to more than 1000 years old. They even have a jungle trail to walk around and if you are lucky then you may spot a rattlesnake and a beaver. I can say I was one 😉. For kids, they have a small section dedicated to them to learn about butterflies, bees and flowers and also a small maze to play around. They would love it. The only mistake we did was to choose a hot day to be there but otherwise it's a good place to be at.

Had a great time visiting the Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor. It had several smaller gardens that were awesome such as the Kimberly Maged Perennial Garden and the Bonsai & Penjing Garden. I also explored the conservatory that rivaled Belle Isle's.

Hello! Local photographer here, saying howmuch I love this place. I have been hired to shoot here on several occasions and everytime it is amazing. The venue does an amazing job of taking care of their clients. I am ecstatic to be back more times this year, and hopefully many more after.

Really love this place! Very well kept and maintained. I've been going here for years (since 2010!) even though I don't live in the area any more. Extremely peaceful environment with beautiful grounds and a lovely conservatory. I really enjoy their trails as they have lovely water features (stream and pond). Highly recommend!

Even though today was wildly humid, a few hours at the gardens flew by. Beautiful area that is clearly well cared for. If you think you'll only see flowers and trees you're in for a sweet surprise. We even saw a deer less than 10ft off the trail!

We love it here. One of the best botanical gardens that grown ups and kids enjoy. They also have trails to walk nearby and its free. We have great experience, we will comeback again for sure.

Great indoor-outdoor botanical garden with some serious Bonzi action.Free admission, although parking is $1.50 a hour. There are the indoor greenhouses, and there are outdoor gardens & walking trails. So plan your visit around the necessary clothing required. There is an Otter in the pond under the first bridge. Take a second to find him.Next to the Children's Garden are the outdoor toilets.Find the Coca tree in the greenhouse and show the kids where chocolate comes from.Find the Voodoo Lilly, especially in February when it's in bloom.Sausage Tree is a photo op for sure.Highly Recommend!

A beautiful place to spend the day! Plenty to do indoors and outdoors! Many educational exhibits and a neat garden that you can harvest for free! Parking isn't free but is affordable.
Sherri — Google review
genuinely stunning! You do have to pay for parking but it is incredibly worth it. The gardens are very well kept and I saw several people having photography sessions here. There is an entire section specifically for children with mud kitchens, educational books and so much more. The trails are very pretty but can get a little winding and confusing. Never thought I'd get to see cacti and bonsai trees in the same place, definitely a stop worthwhile!

Sights & Landmarks
The University of Michigan is a large public school renowned for its research, medical programs, and football team. Located in downtown Ann Arbor, the campus boasts impressive academic buildings and offers a plethora of extracurricular activities. Despite its size, students have the opportunity to stand out if they make an effort to do so. The university provides countless opportunities for professional success but may pose challenges in finding time to study due to the abundance of activities available.
My daughter graduated from Michigan as a triple major and then got her Masters in Management from Ross. She also played in the famous Michigan Marching Band. When she graduated she was offered jobs on Wall Street, as a book editor, as an advertising executive and at Google. There are not many universities in the world that could have offered her the excellent and varied education she got from Michigan. On top of that the Saturdays in the largest stadium in the country listening to the greatest fight song ever written is a thrill no other university can offer. Go Blue!

A world renowned university and medical system on a beautiful campus that is always clean and well maintained. The campus both the university and medical campus are situated in areas where petty crime can be an issue so always be vigilant but the university has extensive campus security and campus police on patrol. It's such a great campus and a great place to work or learn.

The roads surrounding central campus, and some buildings are in pieces. The bus routes connecting central and north campus change constantly with no notice. I'm glad the University is making hotels and designing things for 2050, but in the meantime there are other things that need to be fixed, or should have been fixed a long time ago.

Update: the professor I had been in touch with, professor Lohmann, seems to be as unprofessional as the rest of the faculty I had the misfortune of dealing with. We had a fine zoom meeting where we discussed the program I was interested in and he’s the one that had me reach out to someone of Jennifer Alexander’s job title for further assistance as well. Lohmann was supposed to get back to me the following week and I have not heard back since. Take your money, yearning for education, and search for good mentorship somewhere else. You will not find anything of value at this institution.Awful staff, such as Rose Cory and Jennifer Alexander. I’ve tried to go about seeking help with admissions and the only help I’ve received is from an actual professor. Rose Cory works in admissions and completely blew off our zoom meeting, later contacting saying another meeting went late but couldn’t even have the courtesy to send me a message prior to our meeting letting me know she wouldn’t be there. Jennifer Alexander is just pathetic and doesn’t do the job she’s listed to do on the schools website. I doubt I will continue to give this institution any more thought for enrollment. Absolute trash faculty.

My experience as a student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor has been nothing short of amazing! The campus is not only stunning but also buzzing with energy. The professors are world-class, and the wide range of academic programs ensures there's something for everyone. The resources available, from the libraries to research opportunities, are unparalleled. What truly stands out, though, is the sense of community and school spirit. Whether it's cheering for the Wolverines at the Big House or collaborating with fellow students on projects, being part of UMich is an unforgettable journey. I'm proud to call myself a Michigan student, and it's a definite five-star institution!

BEAUTIFUL campus. I love every second here! So many amazing activities and extra curricular activities to get involved in over 2000! The professors are fantastic here too you can EASILY tell everyone has well over 10+ years of upper level experience. The students here… INSANELY nice as an introvert I can walk up to anyone and they’re super friendly and helpful. Biggest alumni group. HUGE school spirit even on the streets people all rep UofM. It’s a whole new loving world here. Night life is everywhere with good to high end restaurants. The roads are all proper especially for Michigan weather. Alumni donates heavily to this school. The city works with UofM to help them expand.. it’s like the whole area is family it’s incredible!I legitimately can’t say a single negative and I am a commuter except I just wish I could drive less haha. So many parking structures lol it’s only a few minute walk. The M bus is accurate too.Put it like this… if you get accepted to The University of Michigan.. after doing research and or visiting campus you will be going to The University of Michigan.10/10 this is coming from someone who’s attended multiple universities including the Dearborn campus. NOTHING touches this University.

Sights & Landmarks
The Big House, the historic 110,000-seat football stadium at the University of Michigan, hosted a free Spring scrimmage event that was enjoyable and recommendable. The game was entertaining, and some penalties and calls by referees made it even more amusing. Children were allowed to meet players, get autographs and step onto the field. The stadium is an impressive piece of real estate with a rich history that can be appreciated even by non-Michigan fans. Highly recommended for all visitors!
GO BLUE! The Big House is a sight to behold, seating over 100,000 people every game. I went here for the Ohio St game last November, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The atmosphere is amazing and visibility is great at almost every seat.Ann Arborites are also very nice! Anyone who wants the best college football experience has to come to Michigan.

Michigan Stadium, located in Ann Arbor, is an iconic venue and the largest stadium in the U.S. Being here for a marching band rehearsal offers a unique experience. The sheer size and atmosphere are awe-inspiring, even when empty. The acoustics in the stadium are impressive, allowing music to echo beautifully across the stands. It’s easy to feel the history and excitement of game days as you perform. The field is well-maintained, and the stadium staff are helpful. Parking can be a bit of a challenge depending on the event. The views from all angles are fantastic. Overall, it’s a thrilling place for a rehearsal!

This is my first time being in the big house and I have to say the people who work the lines they're the people who work in the stores they're all in a great mood everyone was in a super nice welcoming mood and I was stupid excited. Of course it was the opening day so what's not to be excited about that but just nice to be in a place where there's so many workers that were nice.

Michigan Stadium is an awesome venue—there’s hardly a bad seat in the house! The atmosphere both inside and outside the stadium was electric. My only gripe is that they could use a few more bathroom options, but the vendors were solid and fast, which was a nice plus. Getting in and out was quick and easy, making the whole experience smooth. Would definitely love to come back!

Holy Moly, this stadium is large. My bucket list was fulfilled by purchasing, flying to Michigan, and watching the Wolverines host the Buckeyes and seeing who remains undefeated between two unbeaten and powerhouse teams. I have to say, I was overwhelmed with the crowd capacity, the energetic vibe despite very cold temperatures, and the overall collegiate Big Ten Football experience. I don’t know which is better, a very hyped college game or a dynamic NFL match-up game. I highly encourage true collegiate football fanatics to come experience the vibe here at the Big House when your team comes to play here, it’s unlike any other college stadium and football atmosphere.

I love this place! Beautiful to see the games sell out and looking around seeing over 100,000+ people? It’s really cool! I do wish there could be some form of cushion for the seats, but that’s really it. The food tastes and is fresh for every game. Really I have nothing bad to say even walking to the stadium it’s really cool seeing the other wolverines walking and basically taking over the road lol.

My step daughter graduated from University of Michigan this year. The ceremony was in the big house. It held the 70,000 people fine... but that's because they ripped out the seats with backs and armrests and installed all low skinny benches numbered about every foot. Also we sat close to the field so we had a long hike up stairs with really tall risers to leave. I would also plan showing up an hour early to make time for the lines getting in. All in all, it was well worth the trip and I'd go again. Thanks for reading!

Cabela's is a wonderland our outdoorsy fun/games/sportsmanship.Are you hunter? Gatherer? Fisher? Archer? Kayaker? Backpaker? Anything Elserer? Chances are they're going to have what you're looking for, and more than likely in stock. There are other outdoor lifestyle chains out there, but none that measure up to the outdoor/wilderness environment that Cabela's has. From its rustic, natural(ish) décor to the outdoor displays to wildlife exhibits, you really do get that "I feel like I'm out in the woods" vibe. While I've always been a fan of Cabela's, this summer we found that they carry my absolute favorite line of bird seed. I'm a birder and feed 6 to 8 different types of feed in my back year nearly year round, and the fact that they have my favorite brand (Harvest brand bird feeds), but A) in multiple varieties and 2) IN STOCK immediately made this my go-to place when I need bird seed. We used to have to visit 3 or more retail outlets to find what I needed, but not any more. This has got to be one of the largest Cabela's in existence. Seriously. I've been to a number of them but this one just seems ENORMOUS. It's also got an absolutely beautiful 'front door' that can be seen from the expressway nearby. As I wandered around trying to find my bird seed (it literally took me over 10 minutes) I passed a number of staff members helping others and stocking shelves.OH...and an aquarium. There's a freakin' AQUARIUM in this Cabela's. As if the animals and all the outdoor displays aren't enough, they add an aquarium.

Went here to check out the fire arms section, among other things. This is definitely a destination type place. You're going there to have more than just shopping. This place is an experience, not just shopping. There is so much to see and the staff is very friendly. I'm so happy I went here. Me and my wife had such a great time. I recommend bringing the family along. The fish tank alone is a sight to see!

First time here in about 9 years sadly they have taken out the restaurant and hunting/shooting games, they dont even have the candied almonds! That smell was always uniquely "cabelas" when you walked thru the door but no more I guess. My kids loved seeing the fish and wildlife but the mounts do seem a bit faded and old, as another reviewer noted, like they need new ones or current ones to be spiffed up.There is so much to shop for it's a bit overwhelming but that makes it a unique experience. Over all a fun stop especially for the kids when they get to climb in some of the boats and on some of the quads and UTVs. If your looking for anything outdoor this is the place to go!

This is always a great place for us to stop on our road trips. They allow dogs in the store, which we love! We love to stop here, and shop for a few things, while exploring all of the cool things this store has to offer. The employees are always so welcoming every time we come here! My dogs are always amazed at all the animals they get to see! And the fish! Don't miss out on the fish!

unfortunately, they seem to never have sale items in stock. Their loss leaders. Two cashiers open with 30 people waiting and one of them being a trainee. Then they open another line and take people from the back to the new line. They could do much much better.

This is truly a gem of South East Michigan. The store is clean and almost over staffed. Help is so easy to find and you're treated as a person not a sale. Each department is staffed by knowledgeable employees. And for low budget folk like myself it's a pleasure to bring my child and experience all the visuals without the pressure to always spend money. I can't speak highly enough of this facility.

Been there and done that. Thing are exorbitantly expensive. Found a flannel shirt on the clearance rack. It was originally $99.95 marked down to $78. I didn't see any Kevlar inserts in it. It definitely didn't look any different than a $30 shirt. There are a few hidden gems (price wise) in the store, but few and far in-between. The staff was very good. Nice genuine people. If it's your first time you will be amazed at the set ups inside the store. The store is more like an attraction and probably explains the mark ups. It must cost a lot of overhead to maintain.

Unpretentious rooms inside a lively water park offering a restaurant/bar, a pool & a gym.
Went here for the first time since 2018. Some things still were under construction on like the restaurant and arcade, but we were pleased to see the waterpark open. The staff was very helpful and friendly, overall it was a good experience.

Family came expecting to have a nice fun day to celebrate my niece birthday at the water park only to be told it is not open. When booking the room this was not mentioned. We didn’t drive an hour away to only get to enjoy the hotel pool 😡. After seeing other reviews it seems they would have done something to inform people when booking the water park section is temporarily closed, but no they let people book anyway. I swear I understand they need to keep making money but this is just misleading and poor management on their part. I hope they update the website asap. Otherwise, they will continue to get poor reviews. At first glance the room seemed fine. But unfortunately after taking a better look I found it to be not as clean as one would expect, the remote control was sticky, there was dust all around, the ice bucket was covered in it, the refrigerator and microwave were both dirty on the outside. I want to know who thought this room met quality standards.

We had a great time, however it was really pricy for what is included. Over 300 a night with not even coffee offered is just too pricey. The rooms were clean however our fridge was insanely loud. The Front desk is never there and they never answer phones he phones. The water was a lot of fun, however only 1 life guard most of the time for such a big area and no water slide supervision. Life guards just sat a takes did not actually pay attention. Also for part of them time the kids area did not work. The hotel seriously lacked amenities. On a positive note there were 2 employees that we dealt with that were extremely nice and helpful. I would be surprised if we came back.

Sorry to say, although we did have a nice time, we won't be returning. First, too pricey for what they offer. Prices went up AFTER we booked and we were still charged the higher price. The water play area was MISERABLY hot, the swimming pool area was dark... no lights at all... but great temperature. We asked for coffee for the room (which had a coffee pot in it) and was told that they have no coffee!!! The snack shack and arcade was RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. The room was very comfortable though. Oh... and we saw a total of 3 other people our entire stay, so my granddaughter had to play alone.

We went to Splash Universe the weekend of April 6-7, 2024! I loved learning about the history of the hotel and waterpark on our stay, but basically the water park resort is under new management because the old owners just walked out during the COVID pandemic and left the place to rot! The new owners and staff that were there when we stayed were very respectful and helpful! Very friendly! To stay there for a night for 5 was $495! It’s a little bit pricey since the Waterpark was the only attraction open and the arcade and restaurant are still under construction! The person I talked to at the front desk said they are hoping to have the arcade and restaurant open May 1st! The hotel was very nice; there were vending machines, and atms around the hotel and then there was also a pool and an exercise room; the waterpark has a lazy river, slides, toddler area, and a hot tub (adult supervision is required for people under 18)! We got a nice room that had a pull out couch, recliner, table and chairs, bunk beds, bed, 2 cable tvs, microwave, and refrigerator! The hotel does have internet but there was no breakfast during our stay! We also needed a crib for an 8th month old and the front desk were nice to give us one! I did end up slipping and falling in the waterpark area and hurting my knee and toe but I’m fine now! Overall, we had a nice time, even though it was a bit pricy we still enjoyed our stay! I do agree they should give a discount or something though since everything was not all open during our stay!

Positive: My 10 year old loved the water park. The staff in the waterpark itself was very helpful, friendly and attentive.Negative: The hotel itself seemed understaffed, and if I had to guess, family owned and operated, which is to say not hospitality industry-skilled. Not all features were open, like the bar/restaurant, and frankly the arcade should not be open.Details: Our room was dirty. I had to wipe sticky drink rings off the surfaces in our room, it had obviously not been vacuumed, and my son stepped on a large staple that punctured his foot. The halls and stairwells had very clearly not been vacuumed for some time. The arcade should not be open. Many games were labeled as not working, and many other games took our money but did not work. Some of the working games were empty of prizes.Multiple instances of male family members chewing food while servicing me or other guests, or male family member/manager yelling to female employee/family member for attention while she was servicing a customer, who then paused the customer interaction. Kind of embarrassing for both sides...I get it, all businesses are struggling to hire employees right now and that affects service, but I wouldn't spend the money here again unless things get fixed/improved.

I wouldn’t even give this place a star if I could. I booked a reservation for my daughters birthday paid over 400$ for a two night stay get there and had to pay an extra 300$ for the water park because my reservation didn’t include the water park arcade wasn’t open, no continental breakfast, rude staff, disorganized like no other, awful communication. The incompetence of this place is astonishing. My advice save your money and go to kalahari way better establishment.

I just recently visited this hotel during the holiday I had to get an offer off of Groupon The office said, water, park passes, pool and room inc. We drove three hours away to hear that it’s not included in the offer false advertisement I really feel like they should refund people the full amount for doing false advertisement on the Internet then when you get there a day off for this pool, that’s dirty And the pool had so much chlorine that I made my son eyes I swollen. And my daughter couldn’t see for a whole day. I really feel like they put the chlorine in her once they realize that we were coming to have a good time regardless of the outcome and also to get somebody to buy tickets for the water pass.

Tried to go there today for my son's birthday wasn't getting a room just was going to the water park so their prices has changed just for a water park pass 60.00 a person there was five of us so that was $300 just to go swimming they're out of their mind and the lady at the front desk said we just opened back up so you're going to rip everybody off in all there is is a small lazy river two slides a kiddie pool a splash park and that's it if there was more I would see paying the $60 a person but there's not I do not recommend this place unless you want to be ripped off

Just don’t waste your time/money here. It’s outrageously priced for the poor experience you’ll have. The rooms are filthy, sheets are stained with god only knows what. The AC units don’t work, no signal, the tv remote doesn’t even work. The pool room is uncomfortably hot, hard to even breathe in there..both my babies broke out with a rash after playing in the water. The chemical levels need to be checked. This is definitely not a place to go if you’re looking for anything above ok.

BE CAREFUL THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU!!! I WAS QUOTED ONE PRICE WHEN I BOOKED ONLINE BUT WAS CHARGED SUBSTANTIALLY MORE UPON CHECKING OUT!!Yes, I changed the date. HOWEVER, I was never informed of a rate change. I called THREE TIMES to confirm EVERYTHING WAS THE SAME!I called "corporate office" to get the problem fixed and was met with just flat out rudeness from everyone I spoke to. You guys need to take a customer service course or something. Smh!

My child left their most loved stuffed toy at this hotel. I called a couple of days later and they found it in our room. I was so relieved. I offered to drive back to get it, but they said they would mail it to us that week. Ever since then, I cannot get a straight answer for where it is and it has now been over a month. I call every couple of days to check on the status of my last phone call, and no one ever gives me a straight answer. Based on what I'm hearing, a manager took it with them in their car to mail it, but no one knows if it ever got mailed and that employee now no longer works there. All I ever hear is that they will "look into it" and call me back. No one calls me back. I've asked them to try contacting the former employee to see if it got mailed, or if he can drop it back at the hotel so I can come and pick it up. No one ever commits to an answer and reaches back out. My child is inconsolable. They've had this toy since they were a baby. If the employee had left it at the hotel, I would have picked it up already.

Way to much for what you get.when we checked in our first room smelled like something had died in it. Then they put us in the room right next to it. Our door had a trash can next to it cause there was an active water leak in the ceiling. The ac unit was very loud. Most everything was overpriced. The arcade room would have been fun but most of the games didn't work but would take your credits.

Had high hopes for this indoor water park… but an overwhelming chlorine smell caused coughing and we had to leave. The owner/manager provided a full refund though. The actual water park was very cool, with all kinds of small and large water slides, one of those giant buckets that dump all the water when full, a short but fun lazy river and rafts complete with a waterfall, and a small waddle pool for toddlers. There are tables all around in two floors, restaurant service, and a large arcade room. The staff, managers and life guards are extremely friendly and kind. I think this shows that the new owners probably treat their employees well, and everyone cares about their customers.Almost everything was kept clean except the bathrooms and changing rooms, which were a mess. There were towels all over the floor, broken soap dispensers, and some showers didn’t even work. And although they are wheelchair accessible, there is no unisex restroom ir changing area, which would be an issue if you have young kids of the opposite gender or if you need a nurse or caregiver. If you are staying at the hotel, then it’s not a big issue. So I have mixed feelings about this place. Is it worth the sixty-something entrance fee? At the moment, no, until the new owners get their act together and hire more workers. Aside from the unfortunate chlorine incident, is it a fun place for kids? You bet! If we could breathe better in there, we could have stayed all day.I really wish I could say I loved it. If they fix the chemical smell issues, which I think plagued the previous owners, I would give it another shot.

I didn't stay at this place but I've been waiting for so long for it to open up. I was so happy to hear it opened up so I called and the woman that answers the phone is soooo rude how can anyone book here after dealing with that. Call great wolf lodge and listen to the difference. This place will never win unless they change their workers.✌️

this place was horrible… i don’t even know where to start we get there and get settled it and one of the rooms had SO many bugs on the bed on the floor in the bathroom they switched the rooms which the other room had bugs as well it was disgusting. they said there’s nothing they can do about it and are experiencing this in many of the rooms which to me is crazy. they have no housekeepers they said when talking to us because they left over being upset about something probably how many bugs there were 😂 then the pool made every.single.one of my kids throw up i had 7 kids with me every single one kept throwing up because there’s so much chlorine we were up and down all night due to how many times they were throwing up… overall the place is a disaster and it’s disgusting 🤢 never coming here again not worth you’re stay no refund or anything just “nothing they can do” nothing you can do?😂😂 shut the damn place down

They have recently reopened and are getting up to speed. Everyone was friendly, a lot of remodeling has been done, and many room type choices depending on family size and budget. We had two of the adventure suites, they came with a king sized bed plus a bunk bed which worked well for us. Once they are 100% open, I think access to rooms in building 2 will become easier, especially since most people coming will have kids and will need clear access. We plan on returning soon!

I'm sure not many of you are planning on going to Splash Universe Dundee during the week, but so that you're aware.. My son and I went today. I was expecting to pay the web site's advertised weekday ticket price of $40 per ticket. Upon arrival I was told as of yesterday the price was increased by $50 per person, and they have yet to update the web site. I didn't argue and paid the price. Never again will I pay such a ludicrous price for such a small water park. I can't imagine having to pay the $80 weekend price. This was my first and last experience with this water park.

Where do I start? If you live more than 10mins away don’t waste your time coming here. ON ARRIVAL it looked closed down. I seen one other family. Rude staff, Dirty rooms. Restaurants friendly, food was good(Applebees/BobEvan).******False Advertisement******We came here for Father’s Day, check in was after 4pm, but the water park closed at 6pm. Long story short my husband and 2children weren’t able to use the water park on arrival. We were told we can use it the next day at 10am when they reopened but the water park was only accessible until 12pm(we were still charged full price). Check out was at 11am we asked how much was late check out and was told $100. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude and combative and said her manager will be in tomorrow when asked. We booked and paid for a double bed when we got to our room it was one bed an a pull out couch. When I asked her why was we given this room she stated because it was only two of us and we didn’t tell her we had children, but we did and also disclosed that when we booked online. After changing to a different room we thought “ok let’s make the best out of this situation”. After further inspection we noticed how dirty the room was. Dirty refrigerator and stand. Half empty shampoo bottles, an opened bar of soap, no soap in shower dispenser, there was an old dirty sock on the side of bed along with cupcakes and crumbs. Not to mention the blood and dirt on the bed sheets. My daughter(2) and Nephew(9) was so excited about seeing the water park and arcade(which NEVER OPENED), and after an hour long drive with two children and a 5month old we stayed like some fools because we didn’t wanna be charged for the 1st night if we cancelled($300 for one night). Don’t get me started on the bathrooms/changing rooms they are nasty. Upon leaving, I seen housekeeping and asked for some body essentials and of course she didn’t have any thing but conditioner, her response was I just started working here.***Coming here was a waste of money and worst mistake ever my son(nephew) complained about his eyes burning after leaving out of the water park. Once we returned home he was still complaining of eye pain, so he was taking to emergency. HE IS NOW SUFFERING with SERVER CONJUNCTIVITIS and is on medication for the next few weeks. The doctor said it’s from the chlorine/chemicals in the water.Seems like it could be a very nice place to visit and to the naked eye it is but it’s needs a lot of work and better staff. The water park is cool I won’t take that away and the check out lady was super nice. Overall we won’t be visiting again EVER it was over priced and we weren’t able to use all of the amenities as advertised online when booking this trip. PLEASE update your ADVERTISEMENT IMMEDIATELY!!!****False Advertisement****

Fifth Third Field is a 9,000-capacity stadium in downtown Toledo that is home to the Toledo Mud Hens minor league baseball team. The stadium offers great game-viewing from the Roost terrace and has been praised as one of the best in the American lower leagues.
Amazing views on any seat. Games are enjoyable, food and drinks are priced a little more expensive than you would usually see outside of the stadium, bathrooms and stores and food+drink booths are easy to locate. Bathrooms are nice and clean and the staff are friendly.

Winterfest!! We attended my sons hockey game and the Red Wings vs Toledo Storm/Golddiggers alumni game. Viewing from the first tier is questionable. The boards are so high that you don't really see the whole action, but you can always watch the game on the big screen which is very good coverage. We were on the second tier and the view was great. They have concession upstairs as well.

What a great family outing in Toledo! Expect to spend $5 each for pop, Nathan's hotdogs, and popcorn. The games and t-shirt giveaways are great for children! Plenty of foul and thrown baseballs to make you child's day! People are friendly and staff is helpful. I highly recommend you grab the family and head out to see the Mudhens play!

We love this place! Fun atmosphere, small enough to easily walk all the way around, handicap friendly, nice staff, good food and a wide variety of food items. I got a hot pretzel which was literally too hot to eat! Hubby got a hotdogs and again it was too hot to bite into which meant it was still super hot when we got to our seats! =) Pop was cold too.

Love this stadium and the experience. This is definitely a kid oriented place. We go a lot and sit everywhere in there. There’s not a bad seat in the house. And for the price, it’s even better. I love that you’re so close to the field. And my little gets her mitt or ball signed before the game almost Everytime. Love meeting the regulars that attend and talking with them. The staff is always nice and they have a good variety of food and snacks.

My recent trip to Fifth Third Field to catch a Toledo Mud Hens game was a delightful surprise. The game itself was even more entertaining thanks to the festive "Christmas in July" theme. From Santa Claus meet-and-greets to Christmas-themed drinks served in special baseball cup souvenirs, the Mud Hens staff went all out to create a fun and memorable atmosphere.Even though the Mud Hens fell short on the scoreboard, the overall experience remained positive. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, especially in our comfortable suite. The entire venue was impeccably clean and inviting, making it a great place to spend a summer evening.Whether you're a die-hard baseball fan or simply looking for a fun family outing, a Toledo Mud Hens game is a fantastic option. The affordable ticket prices, festive themes, and friendly atmosphere make it a night to remember, win or lose.

I'm a huge fan of baseball. Old school, I'm a 90s baby so Sandlot was my favorite movie "The Great Bambino" lol. This stadium is what I envision when I think 1920s Yankee stadium. It's small, homey and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Beautiful field, great people and the fireworks show are great. Highly recommend going here. Seats average $15 each if you go through their offical site and not ticketmaster!!

What can you say Fifth Third Field is a great place to see a baseball game. I don't know if there is a bad seat in the building. This time we were there for a company picnic. To be completely honest the food that we had catered from the ballpark was not good the chicken breasts were dry and Chewie and the bratwurst or whatever were nasty tasting and had a strange texture. Other than that our seats where good the staff where great and as always the field was immaculate.

Crowded but what ball field isn't? All seats are good viewing. Food is 'reasonable again, for a ball field. Personal pan pizza from Marcos $7 and really good. Nachos with cheese and salsa $7. Chicken strip w/fries $11. Bottle pop $5. Cup of pop $4. Popcorn $5. Just a small example of what is available. Lots of fun on jumbo-tron during innings. Wooden folding fixed seats. Narrow between rows. No railings getting from entry level down to seats. Challenging for mobility limited walkers. Parking off site $10-$20. Parking garage nearby - $10. Lots of walking tho. Pricey shirt/gift shops at the park. All in all a fun time. Reminder - only SMALL bags allowed which are searched briefly upon entering. CASHLESS FACILITY THROUGHOUT.

This was my first experience with a Toledo Mud Hens game. I loved it! There is no bullpen, so the pitchers were practicing literally five feet in front of us. Players were somewhat friendly and gave some kids a ball or two while practicing. Field had easy parking, though a little expensive for $20. However, there were some cheaper places a block away. Food and beer was great. Obviously less crowded than MLB, so concessions were easy. Bathrooms were clean and easy. Mud Hen store was nice. Overall, it was a great experience that exceeded my expectations! The staff also allowed us to get a group picture of our kids in travel ball on the field before the game, which was pretty sweet.I would definitely come here again. We even got a picture with Tarik Skubal (not sure why he was there)!

It is always a good time rooting on the Hens from this gorgeous ballpark. It is no wonder so many other cities have copied the look and feel of this stadium. It truly is a treasure of the Glass City.

Beautiful ballpark but the tickets and parking are SO expensive. Only costs $8 to get into the Columbus Clippers game plus a minimum $4 to park in the cheap lot at Huntington Park in Columbus. In Toledo it costs $10 to park and the ticket to get in the park is at least $10 or more. Wish this changed but honestly it’s fine because the atmosphere and how much work that has went into making the surrounding area beautiful makes it worth it.

The Toledo Museum of Art is an art museum located in the historic Old West End district of central Toledo, Ohio. The museum's collection features a wide range of art from classical to contemporary, and includes works by some of history's most well-known painters. The Glass Pavilion is one of the most popular attractions at the museum, and its curved glass walls are simply stunning.
I am so grateful to have such an incredible art museum in our city. My son & I frequent this place. We always enjoy ourselves. If and when he does get antsy about not interacting with the art, we just head downstairs where he can touch EVERYTHING! My little dude has been Culturally educated and inspired with the opportunities we've had to visit this place from such an early age. Thanks Toledo!🖼🎨🌃🎵😎

We’ve always had such fun going to the museum. When the kids were little, they would count cats. As we walked from gallery to gallery, there were cats everywhere! In paintings, jewelry, statues. Then they started to appreciate what was around the cats. When my granddaughter turned 9 3/4 we celebrated with a Harry Potter day. So we had to stop at the museum for the great hall, the cloister & we were REALLY careful sharing secrets with paintings and statues.

This place is well worth your visit. We stopped in for my wife's birthday because she had wanted to visit. We started at the Glass museum and watched a 2-hour glass blowing demonstration which was very informative and entertaining. We then made our way over to the museum and spent about two and a half hours walking through the exhibits. They have some amazing art and history in the museum. Some of the modern stuff was not to my taste but just because it's not to my taste doesn't mean that it wasn't good art. I do believe that all people should enjoy art as it is part of our history in this museum definitely has that on display. I would recommend coming early and enjoying the exhibits at your own leisure.

This beautiful complex is wonderfully curated which makes it easy and pleasant to experience the beauty presented. There is variety, history and culture.I discovered a Dutch painting of people enjoying themselves on the frozen canal. And there were men playing golf! Yes, in 17th C.! The golf clubs were similar to those used in the 1920s.There are many buildings on the acreage of the campus. One is the "glass" museum which also houses a glassblowing demonstration and the Impressionist hall. There is paid parking, but free entry. But be careful: if you switch parking lots to go to other buildings, it'll cost another $10. Better to walk across the street. The staff are pleasant and personable, and contributed to a marvelous experiences we had.

We took our grands to the museum for a little culture. The oldest captured images, fascinated by the visuals and absorbed by exploring new angles and different depths of field, with the passion of a young photographer. The youngest hopped up and down, squealing with delight and trying to touch everything - so excited by this new world of color and shapes. But the middle child surprised me because she heard music in every piece she saw and danced joyfully through the exhibits, blissfully immersed in the art she was feeling. Heavy sigh. Nothing is better than being a grandmother. ❤️🫠

The Toledo Art Museum is a really spectacular museum for such a relatively small town. It puts many big city museums to shame (it’s nicer than the Dallas or Atlanta art museums). There is a nice medieval/antiquities collection, as well as a gorgeous large scale Rubens in the main gallery worthy of the Met or a major European museum. Other highlights are two Rembrants, a nice Hals family portrait, an El Greco, a Turner, a Monet, Renoir, two Van Goghs, and Thomas Cole’s “The Architect’s Dream.” There’s also a nice glass museum across the street where the Impressionist/Post-Impressionist art is currently being displayed. Entrance is free, and parking is cheap and plentiful. I’d highly recommend a visit.

The Hollywood Casino Toledo is a sprawling casino located in Toledo, Ohio. It features slots, game tables, a poker room, 4 dining venues and live entertainment. The casino has its own smoke-free facility and offers big-time games with jackpots organized each day.
Vibes: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - it was an older casino but there was no smoking on the casino floor which I appreciated. Slots, card games, automatic single person card games were all available as well as a sports betting restaurant that I was told is fairly new to Ohio.Accessibility: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - zero complaints, everywhere was accessible with ramp options, elevators, most games have removable chairs. Bathrooms were also up to par.Food/Drink/Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - we did not sit down for a meal but ordered a Starbucks drink from the cafe which was 5/5, the frozen margarita was tart & we did not finish it & ended up ordering one mixed drink from the bar which was good. We met a woman who was cleaning (wish I had her name) who was SO friendly. Asked where we were visiting from & was extreme helpful about who to talk to about setting up a players club as a new guest. We enjoyed everything, overall.

Nice, clean, smoke free casino with areas for smokers (if applicable). Employees were seen constantly wiping down machines and beverage station. We ate at the Scene restaurant. It was about 30-35 minute wait. The Classic Burger with Sweet Potato fries were good! My only complaint was the Cherry Limeade alcoholic beverage. You pay $10 for a drink that will not give you a buzz. I am a light drinker and anything can give me a buzz, but it tasted amazing. I was told it's because you get only a get a hint of Jim Beam stag. If that's the case, go purchase a cherry limeade from Sonic.

Pretty nice casino! Our first time there and was pleasantly surprised by how much they had packed in the building. Lots of slots, tables, games and drink stations. They had a couple Restaurants too but only 1 was open at the time we were there. Tons of ATMs and ticket kiosks throughout the floor for easy cash outs. They also have a smoking section with a bar and slot machines in the back which was nice but a little chilly. Super easy parking garage that has electric car hookups right up front if needed. Bathrooms were super clean and easily located throughout the casino.

Very clean, very organized, and the staff is very helpful. I don't remember the name of the young lady that helped us at the players service desk, but, she was very helpful in getting our cards and the app working for the free play even during this time. Glad we had someone like her to take the time and effort in helping us get all set up. The casino itself isn't too bad, I do like the ambiance and theme of it, lots of slots, though I wish they had a bit more variety in the games they have on the slots. Lots of the same with little gimmicks. Overall; we had a good time, made a good profit in the free play and will come again whenever a new event happens. Oh, one more thing. They do need more staff, looks like they have a problem for a while here.

Absolutely amazing casino! Staff are kind, respectful, and helpful. The games are immensely entertaining. There are daily promotions and live entertainment on weekends. Table games, slots, and so much more! There's also an indoor smoking area with a bar and slots you can play while smoking! The food is delicious. Hollywood Casino is a good destination for any casino lover!

Final Cut we didn’t come dress no reservation but they sat us quickly. Omg. First time here. Fabulous. David was our guy. Drinks were on point. A sample on the house I think Ron assisted him to bring our meals out which were mouth watering. Presentation was perfect.I don’t think I need to say more.Ok wait I came to the casino. It is huge compared to mine. Now going to win some $$$

We take mom there from Cleveland, because you still have a good selection of quarter machines, she likes the quarter machines. We(myself and my sisters) love the atmosphere, lots of slot machines, and this casino still has promotions (like raffles every hour),and the music is awesome!!! The only bad thing is that you got rid of the buffet. The buffet was one of the best we've been to,but that won't stop us from going there again. WE'LL DEFINITELY GO BACK AND FORTH TO TOLEDO CASINO, OUR FAVORITE!

We really enjoyed our time there. We never have much money to lose, so we enjoyed the low bets still available. The casino is very clean, nearly all machines working properly. The parking garage felt safe and secure. Elevator worked nicely. Would recommend it highly.

Not very happy with the experience I had. There was never anyone around to answer questions for me. The lady that took my food order at Take 2 was RUDE!! The smoking area where I played as well was nasty. Full ashtrays and ashes covered machines. I lost $300 which is the chance I took, but to have no decent customer service around made that loss alot worse!!!

I just ordered a chicken dinner at the Take 2 Grill. The chicken was NOT COOKED thoroughly. I bit into it and it was cold in the middle. That can't be healthy for you. The service was fast - but I really need the food to be cooked rather than speedy service!! I took my order back to the register and it's going to be remade but I'm wondering if they're just going to recook the four pieces and the fries that I didn't bite into instead of cooking me a completely fresh order. Seriously concerning.

Fun time for my birthday. People at check in noticed that it was my birthday on my I.D. it was very sweet. Also went to the new Sushi place inside, food was fantastic as was the service. Always good vibes there. Love the atmosphere. One of the security officers was so kind as to tell us how to get players cards so we could have a little extra cash to spend. Will be back!

I’ve been here 3 times. My first two times were ok experiences. Didn’t win enough to even keep me playing for a bit, but hey sometimes that happens when gambling. I just had my third experience and it will be my last. I lost $350 in 45 minutes but once again comes with gambling. That’s not why I’m giving a two star, nor why I won’t be back. I live 5.5 hours away and that’s a good drive away, but also means I don’t know this area-at all! So after losing my money quickly, I go to my car in the parking garage to leave. Since I don’t know the area i need to get an address into my gps. In the parking garage I didn’t get any signal, so on my way exiting I pulled to the area of the garage that doesn’t have a roof over it, to look up the address I needed. After getting the address, I got distracted and started scrolling on fb for a minute. I happen to look up and notice this guy standing behind my car, about 15 ft back, faced my way. So at first I think he’s just the guy cleaning the parking area or something. I Go back to scrolling, but also keeping an eye on this guy; he’s starting to creep me out. He’s Still just standing there, staring at my car/me, I don’t exactly know. (But I’m the only car out there). He can’t seem to see that Ive been watching him in my mirror. So I finally open my door, to ask if there was an issue, or if I needed to move? He hastily starts approaching me, and very rudely was like “yea you need to leave”. while he alarmingly, and aggressively starts looking in my łbackseat. I’m getting more nervous by the minħpute and don’t quite understand what’s going on. I was the only one in my car. My backseat has a stuffed bear and Halloween costume of my daughters, and a tower for my cat that’s in the box, I just bought. So I’m not quite sure if he was interested in my 7yos costume or the cat tower or why he felt the need to do that. I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I had been there a total of 16 minutes (I know that because of phone calls placed). Even after I told him I had just finished gambling, am not from this area and was getting an address for my gps. Very rudely again while starring in my backseat still was like “no you aren’t here! you need to leave here now!”Quite frankly, I’m appalled and offended. I think if I come give your establishment $350 in 45 minutes I’ve paid my right to be able to pull over (in a parking space) and use my phone for a minute; since I can’t while driving, and don’t know where I’m going. I just said “ok thank you, I am leaving and now definitely won’t be back!” I meant it, and will definitely let others know how rude and unprofessional that guy was. Also how uncomfortable that made me. All for no reason. I could understand if I was there along time. I could understand if I was doing something I shouldn’t have been. I could understood if someone needed the spot I was in. There’s a lot of things I can understand but not anything about that situation can I understand. i wish I had taken a photo or video of the guy behind my car and then how acted when he approached me.

It's not the same. Food was horrible and I had about 400 food credits and they took them away. The burgers used to be thick and juicy, now it's 2 burnt dry patties. French fries are still good. Don't think I'll be going back.

Update April 2024-We went to Regalo for dinner and loved it! We started with the Caprese salad, it was ok, but we got 4 slices of tomato but only 3 slices of mozzarella. Very light on the balsamic reduction. It had greens on it (a lot). It wasn't the best we've had, but not the worst. Olive oil and herbs were very good on the fresh bread, which was very good as well. My wife had the Cacio E pepe, cooked table side. Chef? Was very good, talked us through the cook. My wife loved it! I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with the hot Italian sausage. The sausage was good, but a bit dry. Not overly dry. The noodles were not al dente, it was soft. I didn't mind, it reminded me of awesome mashed potatoes. Very creamy and good. I would order it again. Our server, Chase, was very good. Super nice and helpful. We will eat here again.Slots are too tight. Not enough table games. Drinks are way overpriced

The Toledo Zoo is a massive and popular zoological institution in Ohio that features attractions and exhibits from all over the world. It's a great place to visit during the holidays, or any other time of year for that matter, as it's home to some amazing animals and scenery.
What a fun day at the zoo. Weather was perfect. Hanging out with my sisters, exchange daughter from Denmark and my great nephew was great. The animals were active and fun to watch. The baby elephant was probably the most adorable animal at the zoo today. The Toledo Zoo never fails.

Really awesome zoo experience here. Everything seemed clean and spaces seemed well thought out and organized. You're able to get up close to most of the exhibits to get a better view. We enjoyed our time here. Plan on a 3-4 hour visit to walk the whole zoo, longer if you want to be more in depth. Would definitely come back another time!

I absolutely love the flow of this zoo! The habitats are built so that you can see the animals from more than one vantage point. That way, you are pretty much guaranteed viewing. Loved it so much I purchased a membership!! Great zoo!!!!

The sleep over at the zoo experience is the best! If you have the opportunity, go for it. We learned so much about the animals and their care. The kids had a great time.Adults - for sleepovers bring food if you can’t or don’t eat standard kid food 🍕🍪🧃.Staff is well informed and helpful. The older guy who shows the more dangerous animals is so knowledgeable and great with the kids.

The best zoo I've visited yet. It would be worth going just for the Museum of Natural History. The animal exhibits are immaculate as are the grounds. There are playgrounds and a large splash zone for kids. This place is stunning. You won't be disappointed.

The Toledo Zoo is a fantastic destination for animal lovers of all ages. One of the highlights is the incredible aquarium, which is beautifully designed and filled with a diverse array of marine life. From colorful coral reefs to mesmerizing jellyfish, the exhibits are immersive and educational, offering a great opportunity to explore the wonders of the underwater world. The zoo also features an awesome museum section that showcases fascinating artifacts and exhibits related to wildlife conservation, animal history, and the natural world. It’s a perfect blend of entertainment and education, making it a must-see for those interested in learning more about our planet’s ecosystems. The second floor is great for hanging out with reptiles and bugs! But beyond the aquarium and museum, the zoo itself is home to a wide variety of animals from around the globe. Whether it’s watching majestic lions and tigers, observing playful primates, or visiting the giraffes, the zoo offers countless opportunities to get up close to your favorite creatures. The spacious, well-maintained habitats reflect a commitment to animal welfare and conservation, making the experience both enjoyable and ethical. In addition to the animals, the Toledo Zoo also has great dining options, fun rides, and seasonal events like the Lights Before Christmas, ensuring that there’s always something exciting happening. Overall, it’s a world-class zoo with something for everyone! Highly recommended for a family day out or a leisurely adventure.

I recently visited the Toledo Zoo and had a wonderful time. The zoo was well-maintained and clean, with plenty of animals on display. I was particularly impressed with the variety of species and the spacious enclosures. As a veteran, I was grateful for the free admission. It was a great way to spend a day out and appreciate the natural world. While there were a few animals that were not visible during my visit, the overall experience was fantastic. The aquarium was especially impressive, with a stunning array of marine life.I spent about four hours at the zoo and was able to see most of the exhibits. If you're looking for a fun and educational outing, I highly recommend visiting the Toledo Zoo.

I love this zoo! So much to do and perfect for young kids! They had a weeknight promo for half off after 4pm, so stayed a few hours in the evening, but we could have easily spent all day! The little kids play area is so neat! There were tons to do for little ones who love to splash and play in the dirt (bring swimsuits and extra clothes/ towels!). The running stream was our kids' favorite, but there is something for everyone. I was happy to see the playground still around and the (newer) splash pad area! Petting zoo is so cute too! Great food options. I wish the carousel and train were included in admission-I don't know that we'd pay to do more than once- but they were pretty affordable.

Love the Toledo Zoo! Grounds are clean, lots of exhibits. Orangutans are always my favorite. Got to see the baby which was adorable. Mama was showing off her off to everyone. I bought a membership which = admission for me and one other and free parking. If you go to the zoo more than once per year, the membership is worth it.

The Toledo Zoo is a fantastic destination for families and individuals alike, offering a wide range of exhibits and activities that keep visitors engaged and entertained. One of the highlights for many visitors is the aquarium, where you can explore an incredible array of marine life. Another popular attraction is the poison dart frog tropical conservatory. It's always a fun challenge to grab the chart and hunt for all the different colors of these vibrant frogs, making it an educational experience as well. The zoo's commitment to interactive displays and knowledgeable staff truly enhances the visit. Whether it's learning about animal behaviors, conservation efforts, or simply enjoying the beautifully designed habitats, there's something for everyone. The hands-on experiences make it easy for children to learn and stay engaged, which is a huge plus for families looking to make the most of their visit. An annual membership to the Toledo Zoo offers excellent value, allowing unlimited visits throughout the year. This is especially beneficial for families who can take advantage of different seasonal events and activities. The zoo's dedication to providing a fun, educational, and interactive environment makes it a perfect choice for anyone looking to spend quality time while learning about the natural world.

Had a blast! The animals were so active today! We took advantage of the Zoo membership as it was cheaper for us to buy a membership for our family of 6 vs paying for each ticket. The membership also allows us half off some other zoos in the area! The red panda was SO adorable!

We love our Zoo!There are many animals to see/learn about. They offer several activities for children to do and even offer classes and camps for children and parents to attend. They put a lot of effort into the learning, games and crafts at their camps and classes. They have a small splash pad that my son loves, as well as many concessions to choose from.Animal demonstrations and opportunities to get up close and personal with animals like the sting ray touch tank. Feeding giraffes and others.

One of the best zoos I’ve been to! I really liked how the zoo is spilt up into 2 separate areas, because it seems to help things not be so crowded. My family and I had certain exhibits all to ourselves. Despite going on a VERY hot day (90 and up) a lot of the animals were active. We especially loved the aquarium. There were also plenty of staff/volunteers around the zoo offering facts and information. It’s a great place for kids.

We had a great time as always. The polar bear cubs were napping and annoying each other in the den. The merry-go-round was a hit! The snakes were super active that afternoon. The frogs were all over the path in the tropical exhibit in the museum. Their aquarium is also amazing, but sadly we were tuckered out. Toledo is an awesome zoo! Top notch.

Had an absolute blast at the Toledo Zoo/Aquarium. We had three families in town for a reunion and kids varying from 10 to 16 years old and they all had a great time. The poison dart frog area was a huge hit for kids and adults. Everyone had fun in the aquarium, seeing the new baby elephant, checking out the aviary and the rhino! We stopped for lunch at the BBQ place and it was good - corn bread was cold LOL but it was sweet & good.

Oak Openings Preserve Metropark is a vast sanctuary that offers both summer and winter recreational activities, as well as an interactive nature center and a playground. The park's expansive grounds include the towering group of trees known as The Spot, which provides a picturesque location for elopements or wedding photo shoots. Oak Openings also features hiking trails that offer endless opportunities for stunning photo opportunities with furry companions.
Oak Openings Preserve Metropark is a huge park located in Swanton close to Toledo Airport. This park has bicycle trails in miles and miles along with walking trails. It has a beautiful kids playing area and a lake in the middle of the park. It is a great attraction point where you will see many deer roaming around. It is so much peaceful as it is away from the crowded area and the city. Highly recommended place to visit near Toledo area.

Great place to take a stroll in the woods. The parking lot is a good size and can fit a lot of cars. The restrooms were clean. We mostly did the brown trail, ending with the blue trail to connect to Mallard Lake at the end. The trail is nice and wide. The surface is smooth and easy to use. The bugs were a bit annoying, but they were just gnats, not mosquitoes.

One of the best biking trails in the area with the connection to the Wabash Cannonball trail which goes for many miles! Even on a 70 degrees fall weekend it wasn’t too busy. I decided to pick a random spot to go on an adventure. One spin of the wheel later, I ended up here. Plenty of trails consisting of varying lengths and challenges. If you have kids, there is a huge park that is modern and well built. If you have a dog, I'd recommend this place for bigger/tougher dogs since the terrain changes often and can be rough in some areas. I got about a 4 mile walk in here and feeling great! Definitely coming back again sometime for more adventuring.

I highly recommend this bike park. The technicals and skills course are solidly built. No 'sketchy' features at all. The wooden bridges may look like playground features, but parents of young children need to understand this is a bike park, and allowing children to climb and walk the features is both dangerous to them and the riders. Apart from this, I give this park a double thumbs up 👍👍

Trees are scientifically good for you, so a trip to Oak Openings was just what our traveling, hotel cooped-up bodies needed. Just being amongst the trees, with the negative ions was heaven for me. I was drooling at all the nature shots available and wished we would have gotten there sooner, so we could have spent more time enjoying the crisp air and beautiful scenery. As it was, they closed at dark, and we had about an hour to enjoy ourselves. I got some beautiful shots to share with you. I just can't get that healthy, crisp forest air to download properly for you to benefit from.

A visit to Sauder Village is wonderful with family and friends- luckily, there are many discounts for tickets so keep that in mind if you are a student or AAA holder.First we did the horse trolley ride around Sauder Village which took about 15/20 minutes. It is a great way to see Sauder Village! I have been to visit Sauder many times and this was the first time I had the horse trolley ride. The train is another great way to see Sauder- take the train from the newer “1920’s” town, to the secondary stop of its open ( near the museum rear entrance). There’s many shops to buy from, lots of history to learn and the Barn restaurant is next door.I highly recommend the museum as well! There’s chickens, ducks, sheep, cats, pigs, cows but you cannot feed them.Overall this is a wonderful place to learn in real time about life from the past!

We visited for the annual rug show, a wonderful showcase for hooked rugs! We also enjoyed visiting the village which showcases many local artisans demonstrating their crafts in historic buildings. I was impressed that the buildings were air conditioned for the benefit of both visitors and craftspeople. The museum is really good and we spent a lot of time there learning about the history of this agricultural area. We had fun in the quilt shop and enjoyed a nice lunch in the barn. A lovely day with friends.Work of the craftspeople is available for sale in the museum shop at a very reasonable price.

Historic Sauder Village has 110 structures on 239 acres. Erie Sauder invented the furniture you find in almost all box stores that you assemble yourself. Almost every Historic building has a docent or craftsman plying their trade and most in period dress. You can ride a train from one end to the other. The buildings are from the early 1800's to the 1920's and filled with incredible artifacts and displays. Their is also a nice RV Park and Inn. Even restaurants and bakeries.

Thoroughly enjoyed touring the village, staying at the inn and the restaurant had wonderful food. It was great to have a trolley ride and have such an amazing break down, by Steve, of what there was to see. The only issue we had was after we purchased a ticket for the trolley, a person in our group wanted to purchase a ticket as well and didn't know to ask at entry. A young lady, who looked like she was managing presenters, was unbudging and a bit rude when we asked if she could help him buy a $6 ticket. She told him to get back in line and wait his turn. He's over 80 yrs old and all he wanted was one $6 ticket. My husband asked someone in line if they would be willing to use our money to buy a ticket. They were nice enough to help our friend, unlike the worker who, again, was a bit rude at the opening of the village to folks that had never been. Sorry to have wasted your time young lady. She was not a happy person and took her bossiness too far. Other than that we enjoyed all the shops and the train ride had a couple of entertaining, but very knowledgeable men who were extremely nice.

Still found available street parking near Candy World.Store is good with both history and interactive stuff for kids. Good selection of candy and merch and reasonable prices. Movie is decent. Has added smells. Restrooms within store. Not a crazy big store but we still managed to spend 1.5 hours there.

I love family owned companies that do business right. This is one of them. I put in an online order. I expected it to take a few days. Two days later it was on my front porch. It was a small box but it was heavy cardboard and packed inside in such a way as there would be no damage to the product. That’s going the extra distance. Thank you.

The Valentine "Cutie Pie "hearts, traditional decorations for years, are just absolutely pathetic this year I purchased 2 boxes in one store, all misprinted onto the hearts, and these were rough and very thick. Thinking them old, I went to another store where they cost twice as much and were the same! I could not use them for any holiday cake decorations or for the earrings I had planned to make for girls in my office as I had in past. This company in Mexico should have some counseling!!

I bought a box of full Necco's but it seemed that there was a disproportionate amount of Licorice wafers. If there are 8 flavors, each flavor should be approximately 1/8. It seemed that the Licorice was 25% of the total wafers. I reached out to Spangler and spoke with Jenna Esterline who was happy to hear my concerns and was kind enough to promptly send me a few sleeves to fix the imbalance.

The tour was ok. It definitely could be better! The candy is great so follow up with a great tour!Fix the tour by putting more effort into it and you'd get a lot more visitors!

I love delivering here at this company. They treat truck drivers with courtesy and respect. Easy to back in docks. They also give sample candy to the drivers❤️❤️❤️

Receiving is 0700-1400 I delivered here in the early afternoon. I got right on the door and they had me unloaded in no time. The people in receiving were awesome. I would deliver here again for sure. Also thank you for the dum dums, my dispatch and accounting offices definitely appreciated it. 😊

I've visited this location three times total.Once when management lied to my wife about her time off, interrupting a vacation and causing unneeded stress.Another time when an employee at the company yelled at me and issued threats to have me arrested for speaking to my wife about grabbing coffee that morning.Another time was a tour of the newer "Bit O'Honey" factory. The tour was nice, which is why this review gets 2 stars instead of 1.It's absolutely disappointing not to be able to visit a loved one due to a hostile employee.Edit: The hostile employee recently challenged me to a fight and issued a threat against me; not sure why Spangler would have sided with this aggressive, hostile employee over a member of this community.

Terrific quick stop roadside attraction. Free to visit and open all the time. This water tower is in the parking lot of the Spangler Candy company. Don't miss!!!

I bought 2 5-packs of the Cutie Pie candies for Valentine's Day 2023. Imagine my disappointment when I opened them to check and found such poor quality control. 9 out of 28 and 13 out of 31 were legible. I'm tossing them without checking the other 8 boxes...too embarrassed to give as treats for English class.

Live loaded here. The people were super friendly and I was in a door immediately. Loading started within 10 minutes. They didn't require a Washout thankfully. It's a little hard to see once your trailer enters the building. But they yellow guide paint is helpful enough.

Museum & gift shop dedicated to classic cars, including Auburn, Cord & Duesenberg models.
If your ever near Auburn Indiana I recommend visiting the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg museum. The cars here are priceless and beautiful. I had never seen any of them in my life, they are quite rare. I never even heard of Auburn or Cord. Really majestic, amazing craftsmanship. These cars are just breathtaking eye appealing mind blowing. There is history and it was so special. We spent 3 1/2 hours but could have made a day or so out of it. Simply spectacular space and collection. Another amazing stop on this journey. Also my wonderful co-pilot to enjoy it with.

The Cars are absolutely beautiful!Came for trunk or treating and it was the best experience. Beautiful beautiful cars. And thankfully this place is handicap accessible so I was able to enjoy this place with my children while still recovering from an injury is such a huge plus! If you haven't been here I would highly recommend it. The kids got to sit in a beautiful old antique car and race car which they thought was the coolest experience ever. Thank you for having such a great museum.

So much more than I expected! The facility is beautiful with its original 1930's decor and flooring. Staff was very friendly and helpful. And the cars, so many and such great specimens! Our party ranged in age from 10 years old to 85 and EVERYONE had a great time. Can't recommend highly enough!
Jeff C — Google review
Had a great time here. With a great selection of featured vehicles between Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg, they also have an amazing selection of other vehicles from the time period, such as a 1930 V16 Cadillac, 2 aircraft, a Dodge Bros boat, Packard, and Lincoln. One could easily spend a few hours within the main building seeing all the cars, design elements, and other exhibits within. Would definitely warrant a return visit to see the exhibits again.

Had my wedding ceremony here, we only had about 30 people and a few months to plan it. Not only was it the wedding of my dreams, but everyone on their staff was so helpful, Alishia was awesome to work with, and the pictures turned out awesome. In the couple days that I visited, I didn’t even make it thru the whole museum because there were so many cars on display. The price of renting the building was unbelievably good. 100000% recommend for the best event ever, or just to look around!

My partner and I went after being invited to an even they were holding called The Gatsby Gala Ball with some friends. This place is simply amazing. Not only do you see a ton of beautiful cars, you get to learn the history behind them too! There's a couple of interactive areas as well! We plan on coming back again. :)

Even if you are not a car enthusiast, this is a must-see. The history of Auburn, of EL Cord, and the beauty of the Art Deco style of the building is just wonderful. You can spend hours here.
Bob R — Google review
This museum is easily one of the best in the nation. Fascinating history and information on the cars that some either don't know much about or lost away in the pages of history for the state of Indiana. This place has been on my bucket list for years and after nearly a decade, I finally came here and was not even the slightest bit disappointed. The staff, volunteers and overall atmosphere was absolutely incredible and I want to give Graham Geiger the hats off for not only taking me around the town of Auburn in his 1935 Auburn 851 Sedan but I got to drive it as well, fulfilling a life long dream of driving a car made after The Great Depression but before World War II. I want to give massive thanks to everyone who made this happen and to everyone who has put their prized possessions on display for car loving folk to read about, enjoy and above all, smile as these beautiful rides age with such timeless designs.
Nicholas M — Google review
The building is absolutely stunning, inside and out! If you are a fan of art deco, 30's architecture/design, and/or enjoy seeing a by-gone era... this place is certainly worth a visit! Oh.. and if you like automotive history too.... then you will have an amazing time here! Amazing displays. Very friendly people too! Auburn is very lucky to have such a place!!! Certainly worth a visit and also a re-visit in the future.
Bob 8 — Google review
One of the best car museums, anywhere. The cars are meticulously restored, with a couple in original condition. So many Auburn, Cord, and Deusenberg models and years. Then, many other years and kind of other cars that I did not even know existed.
Scott S — Google review
My sister and her now husband just got married here and it was beautiful. Very nice venue. The whole experience was amazing. The museum has a ton of vehicles and a couple of airplanes.
Matt M — Google review
This is an absolute must-see if you like historic, vintage automobiles. These are the luxury cars from before the big Depression days of the 1920s and 30s. These cars cost in the thousands back then and still hold up today. They were durable, built to last, and can operate at our current speeds of our Interstate highways! They are drop-dead gorgeous cars, and the history is amazing. The museum also has other vintage high-end cars along with a private plane and boat that the wealthy could purchase back then. The hood ornaments alone make an interesting display. But the other amazing thing about this museum is the fabulous art deco building, which was the original showroom and engineering offices for the cars at that time. The museum has brought the building back to life by taking her back to her glory days. The lights, the paint, and even the flooring are gorgeous! If you don't care about cars but love building architecture, then you must come see this museum. Not to be forgotten, there is also a muscle car and truck museum just behind the Auburn Cord Duesenburg museum called the National Auto and Truck Museum. You can purchase tickets for both at the ACDM counter.A very small complaint. We purchased a membership because we would receive a 10% discount in the giftshop, and we knew we would buy something. The man who was involved in our getting the membership was in the Giftshop when we came out hours later. He remarked, "Wow, you're still here!" We joked that we wanted to really embrace our membership! Unfortunately, when he rang up our purchase, he didn't give the 10% discount. When reminded of it, he said, "Well, it's all done now. I could re-enter everything, but there is no guarantee you will receive your refund from the first purchase." We tried to suggest some solutions, and he said, "That's way above my pay grade, and we would have to see if the man in charge is here and can make a decision." Feeling somewhat forced to accept it, we just walked away. Plus, the membership purchase did not include the other museum, so we had to pay again over there. However, this sour note did not ruin the fun had with all the amazing cars and history of the museum and does not deserve to ruin the 5 star rating.
Leslie S — Google review
This is an extraordinary museum. The cars are amazing but even more amazing is that the museum is in the original factory where the cars were designed and built. This is truly a must see auto museum.
Andy R — Google review
We always have a wonderful time at the museum. If you haven't been, you should go at least once. The cars are amazing, and the history behind many of them is so cool.
Madlynn R — Google review
With the exception of the rude lady at the front selling tickets, the museum was fantastic! The volunteers were totally delightful and liked chatting and were knowledgeable about the cars. I drove three + hours north to visit and if I lived closer, I’d go again.
Lore M — Google review
My husband is a car fanatic, to put it mildly. We took a day trip from Indianapolis to visit the museum. Even if you are not a car enthusiast, it is an enjoyable day. The museum itself is beautiful and there is a lot of history to learn while there.

Even if you are just a passing car or truck fan, this place is Neat. I never realized there was so much history right here. There is a fee to enter but it helps them maintain and keep up. I really think it's worth it.

Very well presented. Was it worth $15 per adult? Yes, it was. 3 different floors filled with informative history.

The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is an extensive animal park that provides children with the opportunity to hand-feed giraffes. Featuring over 1000 animals, this sprawling zoo includes multiple regions landscaped to transport visitors to different continents. They offer interactive feeding experiences with a variety of animals such as stingrays and have knowledgeable employees at many exhibits discussing the animals. Additionally, visitors can enjoy various rides throughout the park, including a ski lift and water log ride.
5 stars all the way around! If you go early, you get the most out of your day, the staff is out and ready to interact with all of the zoo goers! Food was great, rides were smooth and no issues ever at this location. The animals were amazing and vibrant as well as seemed to enjoy their handlers! Just a spectacular display once again Fort Wayne Children's Zoo!!!

Had an amazing time at the zoo with the family and friends. Parking was easy and plenty of open spaces. Free parking. Variety of animals was impressive, with everything from majestic lions to playful otters. Giraffe feeding experience was amazing. The grounds were beautifully maintained with lots of shaded areas to relax and plenty of food options.

The last time I went to the Fort Wayne children’s zoo was before Covid! Well, since I’ve been back, they made a lot of major improvements and have added quite a few new features. I love that you can purchase a ride pass for the day at a low cost of $25 for 12 rides. I recommend checking them all out and most importantly, enjoying all the time with your little ones!
Sachet M — Google review
I would frequent this zoo growing up. As I got older, I realized just how truly amazing this place is. I'm leery about zoos now that I'm older, but this really is one of the good ones. It's an amazing place. The enclosures for the animals are large and well-kept. The animals are very well cared for and very healthy. There is an incredible variety here! I honestly don't know which section is better. The African section tends to be the highlight, but the Australian section, and Indonesian Rainforest section are always my favorites. This being a children's zoo, there is plenty for the kids! There are rides galore. Log rides, train rides that go through the beautiful acres surrounding the zoo. Feeding experiences! Feeding the giraffes is a highlight of my adult life (seriously!) Plenty of places to stop and eat. Bring a picnic or eat in the zoo!The friendly staff who obviously genuinely care for the well being of the animals housed here, the variety of animal life, the meticulous beautifully planted gardens throughout, the crucial learning, fun rides, and the overall general fun ambiance of this place make it truly one of a kind.

It's a great place for kids. We paid the extra to ride stuff. It's cool but not many animals to look at

Love this zoo. There is so much to see and do. The grounds and facility are well kept. They have staff placed in various exhibits whose only job is to answer questions about the animals and they were very knowledgeable. My Mom normally uses a walker. Today, we rented a motorized scooter at the zoo for her. It was clean snd in good repair. The staff did a great job of showing her how to use it. The people at the African sky ride and train were patient and kind with her. This allowed her to enjoy both rides.

There was not a long wait in the line. It was very exciting!!! Standard adult admission is $22/person. Experiences cost extra (i.e. feeding animals). I wouldn't spend the money on it. Even if you don't buy the extras, the zoo was wonderful!!! We got so many close up pics of animals and some birds were walking around us. We spent around 2.t hours there. I will def go back.

Finally we made it to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo ! I recommend everyone take the kiddos here for a fun family day. We had a blast with the kids, we walked around for about 3 hours. Everything was fun, the best part was feeding the animals. I'm from San Diego so this zoo i would definitely recommend. the tickets prices are create make sure you buy them online it's a little bit cheaper. Also, you don't have to pay for parking.

One of the most gorgeous zoos I have been too. I highly recommend seeing. Our whole family loved it. We plan on visiting it again whenever we are in the area.

Dino days were awesome 👌 84$ for a trip to the zoo was VERY steep but well worth it if you're making a day out of it. The Asian trek was new and looked really cool and will probably come back to try it one day. Can't speak for the food or drinks but bees were horrific as I thought they'd be when we tried to picnic outside of the main gate.
Stormy H — Google review
Such a great zoo! We saw so many animals, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, clean and the wristband for the rides was such a good deal. Only thing I missed (it’s been awhile since I’ve been) was the walk through aviary as it was always my fav. part. We will be back!
Britt S — Google review
An excellent zoo. The landscaping was simply beautiful, much finer than the Indy Zoo. I really appreciated the tiny wading creek to cool off tired feet! The log boat ride is immense fun for both children and adults, and one can really see more of the animals from that vantage point, especially the kangaroos. My little granddaughter informed me that the carousel was much better: "The animals went higher, and it went faster!" There are plenty of photo op spots--a shark's head, a surfboard, statues, a decommissioned jeep. Parking is free, which makes the trip more affordable. The train was not running the day we were there, but one can see from the tracks that it really delves into the exhibits. The Asian Jungle enclosed area is impressive--the birds come right up to one on the boardwalk, and one really gets a feel for the environment. Children love the goat feeding/brushing area, which is open through the warmer months. There are no elephants or dolphins, but the wonderful enclosures for smaller animals, like the river otters, makes up for that. The food court is small and expensive, but the food is excellent. If you get the chicken club, be sure you plan to split it, because it's enormous--and spicy!!!
Beckett G — Google review
It’s a good children’s zoo we have been many times. I enjoyed feeding the sting rays and looking at all the animals. When we went the sea lion exhibit was closed which was disappointing. The rides are fun it’s worth buying a ride pass for $25 or unlimited ride band for $10 a person. I feel like they raised the prices since last time. A child ticket is $20 and an adult ticket is $22. I feel that a children’s ticket should be max $15. It was a little bit of a sticker shock. I recommend bringing your own food as it is quite expensive. $10 for a hot dog and fries with no drink. Overall good zoo not too many bigger animals but my kids still enjoyed it.
Purdybby N — Google review
A fun little place to go with the kids. They have added a ton of attractions and interactions for the little ones in the past few years. There is a shift away from the animals and towards all the pay to play stuff which is why I dropped them a star. Also the paper towels in the men's restroom were empty at 9am in the morning. That was disappointing. But on the whole the place is clean. The rides aren't terribly priced, the concessions are, save some money and bring your own food. They are great with allowing carry ins and strollers and carts and stuff. I'm posting a bunch of pictures to help describe stuff. There you go.

Loved this place!! We visited today with our son and had a blast. It's neither on the large side nor on the small side of zoos, falling right inside that sweet spot middle. Like all zoos, some areas were better than others, with this zoos monkey/ape and red panda enclosures being their best features. I am excited to see their sea lions' habitat once they are completed. All in all, it was a positive experience for all of us.I had to edit this: the grounds themselves need to be mentioned. They are made in such a way that you become very immersed. Really nice touch! Will totally recommend it and definitely will be back in the future. Keep up the great work here!!
Samual E — Google review
An excellent zoo with loads of interactive exhibits, volunteers, and displays throughout. A great zoo for kids of all ages as the animals and areas are close to each other but separated through plants and displays. Very much enjoy this zoo and will continue to visit when I can.
Heather B — Google review
Love love love. My spouse and I opted for the two adult zoo pass and it has been so worth it! If you go later in the evenings during the summer it is way easier to spot some of the animals! My husband’s favorite is the clouded leopard, which is one that isn’t out very often midday, is among the ones easier to see and the crowds usually aren’t bad later in the day either. The giraffe feedings are also really cool. The Indonesian rainforest is our favorite, the biome with all the birds is just so beautiful. If you don’t have a zoo pass I’ve found it is cheaper to buy your tickets online before going to the zoo.

This was a fun time. I always enjoy the zoo but haven't been to this one in a while. The only thing I would like to see more of is maybe some fans in different areas. I went on a rather hot day and a few fans would have made all the difference. Overall it was a very good time.

The Allen County Public Library - Main, located in the heart of Fort Wayne on West Washington Boulevard, is a top destination for book lovers and families alike. With an extensive collection of over 4,500,000 books, articles, and journals, it's a haven for those seeking a quiet place to read. The library offers more than just books; visitors can explore an art gallery, catch a movie at the theater, grab a bite at Dunkin Donuts or utilize the parking garage.
Whether you're there to work, you brought the kids, or you're just checking out a book, the main library is awesome. There's more than meets the eye once you explore a little. A room dedicated to public 3D printers & a sound booth. Literally one of the best places to explore your family history in the US. A local TV broadcasting studio. A HUGE children's section with so many activities to keep your little ones occupied. And so much more.

There's soooo much to experience at this library. They have something for everyone in the family. From a teen center to a toddler and child center. Business development center and an AMAZING historical genealogy area. Free gated parking directly across from the library with your library card.

Upon booking a room, the lady working upstairs in teens was very unpleasant and unwelcoming. Dark-haired and heavier set. She never smiled and seemed to be bothered by my presence, as if I was interrupting her. She walked off and didn't even tell me to follow her, to which I just had to assume that's what she wanted me to do. When saying thank you, I got no response. Very rude! Everyone else is very welcoming and pleasant to work with though!

I love that there are a lot of children's programs to choose from every week. We've gone to story time at several branches now and they're always great. We recently did a Grownup and Me cooking class with Ginger from Ravenous Romeros and it was a lot of fun. I wasn't sure how it was going to go with so many different age groups, but Ginger and the Haley, the librarian, were great at making sure there were appropriate tasks for all ages. I really liked that the kids were able to try something new, but it was a loose enough structure that if they found a task that was really interest to them, they could focus on it for a little longer. Special things like that fill up pretty quickly, so you have to make sure you're checking their events frequently!

I visited the Allen County Public Library specifically for their Genealogy Center.Their specialists were a tremendous help in breaking down a brick wall I’ve been trying to get through for several years. They showed me how to get information I’d been trying to find & didn’t know how. They also allow free computer use & are there to answer any questions & help guide you to new data pathways.I travelled from Oklahoma, spent 3 nights in Ft. Wayne & believe it was more than worthwhile. The face to face professional help & guidance was simply fantastic. I highly recommend visiting Allen County Library’s Genealogy Center!

Printing is $0.10 per page. No cost to use library computers and can reserve them, one hour at a time. Always love going to the downtown library! Parking meters on the side $1.00 per hour & garage parking that is connected to the library.

If you had to say the Top 10 treasured places in Fort Wayne, this would have to be one of them. Maybe number 1. The library has an art gallery, a movie theater, food as Dunkin donuts, a parking garage, and BOOKS; oh did I mention one of the best genealogy sections in the nation. There are whole towns in Indiana that have less interesting things than this single block in the summit city. My sister needed a movie and apparently this library has it. The library is continuing force of Knowledge and stimulation in one place. Everyone should go to this place. They now have new Abraham Lincoln exhibit that is more assessable. They do curveside pick-up for books as well.

I like this library don't get me wrong, but I feel like there is just a bunch of open space that's not being used appropriately. I feel like it could have more books and just could potentially be more than what it is. Maybe they should add a giant fish tank?

Lots of resources, in branch and online. Underground parking is great and free if there not too long. Elevators will take you from garage level to top floor, but you will have to transfer elevators on main level. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Fun evening of good clean fun!!! The Tincaps won, the hot dogs were just okay and the funnel cake was good. But the best part for me was the fireworks! I think they were the best I've ever seen, or real close!
Kimberly M — Google review
The staff and facility have never let us down here. We usually go to a couple games a year and it is a good time every time. Their food is decent, some meals are better than others. Chicken strips and fries is a really large helping in case you were interested in trying it. They have hot dogs, tacos, BBQ, popcorn, ice cream... So much stuff. Get there early, grab some food and then enjoy the game. During the right time of year there are after game fireworks. Your little ones can run the diamond post game if they are interested. The facility is plenty spacious for the average crowds and the entertainment is non stop. Ticket prices are reasonable and the in stadium store doesn't try to rip you off. Tincaps do everything right about baseball. You won't find 12 dollar hot dogs here or hundred dollar jerseys and hats. Come and see a game. This place is a great venue for a fun night out for the family.

My only complaint at all is that everything in the concessions is cashless which I really don't like. But you will have fun and get some sun (unless seated under the overhang). So head on out to a game!

We had our wedding here in the Lincoln Event Center and it was absolutely amazing. The staff was fantastic and it was perfect in every way! The food was delicious and our guests agreed! Plus, it was very affordable and less than other full service wedding venues in town!

Amazing double header! We went the day before and the game got rained out 😟. But..... we got a refund for a DOUBLE HEADER. We were at Parkview Feild for a whopping 6 hours and my time was amazing. MiLB is some of the best baseball around, especially if your a fan of the Tincaps, and I'm so blessed to get the opportunity to go with my cousin. Can't wait to come back!

Best ball park I've ever been to in my mind by far, and I've been to Indy, Wrigley field, and the old tiger stadium! I don't like the fact that it's a cashless venue now but that's the way everything is going these days. Concession Prices aren't astronomical and portions are decent, family friendly activities in the fun zone, great for group events, birthdays, family celebrations, or just to kick back and enjoy a cheap but high quality ballgame...Oh and the fireworks nights are always a great time and pretty amazing show...

Absolutely had a blast!!! Definitely, going to go back. I was able to snag a geocache in the park, which was awesome. The game was great, and the Fort Wayne fireworks were spectacular!! July 4th was a great day to go!!!!

What a great MILB ballpark. Great seating, quality food & beverage at very fair prices, interesting downtown location. Every staff member we came in contact with, was incredibly nice. Have to rack my brain, to find anything to nitpick, at all. Maybe…upgrade the graphics & presentation on the main scoreboard? Highly recommended.

Great ballpark. What it doesn't have in size it makes up for in fun and entertainment options. There isn't a bad seat here, the games are fun to watch and go quickly. Family friendly with food options that don't break the bank. Kid activities including splash pad and bounce house (fee for inflatables). Lots of entertainment throughout the game.

All the times I've been, I've never had a bad experience. The staff is always great and for a ball game, the prices of concessions and memorabilia aren't outrageous. I love going to Parkview Field for any event.

Great place to watch a ballgame, but in early April, we were frozen by a cold cold wind 🥶Lots of smart locals with their blankets. Thank goodness for hot chocolate.

If you're going to have a Spanish/Mexico night, and speaking Spanish, bare minimum say it in English first for crying out loud! Not appreciated Tincaps! 99.99% of the people speak English. The sign was also in Spanish. Are we in the United States or south of the open border?!

Attended the last game of the season today with my family. Everything about this facility is top notch. My dad cannot walk long distances and the handicapped parking made it easy for him to attend. The concessions were all really good and the lines were short despite have a nice crowd of almost 7,000. They serve some of the best carmel corn I've ever had and the best part is that it's from Indiana. Yes, it's single A ball so you're not seeing the best of the best, but the games are still a lot of fun and definitely worth your time.

Zip Timber Lake is an amazing place to experience the thrill of zip lining. You first zip through the trees and if you opt for the High Adventure package, you even zip across the lake . The great thing about zip lining is that it can be for everyone. Zip Timber Lake is the only place you can zip line in North-East Indiana and it is definitely an incredible way to spend an afternoon!

The trail is well designed and maintained, I biked from Richmond to Muncie and back in late March 2024. For people who are biking long distances, we really need the water sources turned on, I realize that they are turned off due to possible freezing weather. Otherwise it was a good workout

Perfect , great Trail , rode Muncie to Richmond and back. The Trail was clear and I’ll absolutely go back as the staff in the Train Depot (office) answered all of my questions and were very friendly. Great ride and worth the drive.

It's a great place to relax or catch your 🫁 and get some water from the fountain u can also repair your bike if needed with the tools and air pump onsite just a all around nice spot to chill u can watch a train go right bye just a fence between the train and you. And also u may see a few local homeless don't mind them they r no harm they're just resting or getting water.

Rode the CG from Gaston, Indiana trailhead to Losantsville, Indiana where our group stopped at the Amish grocery store for beverages & food on 10/05/24 before heading back.I love coming down from Ft Wayne to bike this trail & have done so for well over 15 yrs.I have biked it all, including the north area to Converse, Indiana where it currently ends. Our group consisted of 4 riders of all biking experience levels.A couple miles south of Muncie, one of our riders experienced a flat while trying to avoid a very large crack in the asphalt. The CG pavement is in the worst shape ive personally ever rode it. There are cracks that could eat both roadbike tires & wreck you. CG volunteers have done a good job of painting an outline around most but not all. You better be paying attention constantly or if caught in these cracks, you will go down. Most are directly in the middle of the path. The areas of asphalt erosion which is the worst, is 1/2 the length of a roadbike.I did email the Cardinal Greenway and received a reply rather quickly which said. They are waiting for funds to repair those areas. What? What happened to the funds Gov Holcomb distributed to the trail system in 2021- 2022.This is a very scenic bike path that when maintained is fabulous & beautiful.Right now, its not.It is scenic.Don't let my review stop you from riding & experiencing it.Let my review be a guide to constantly keep an eye out to avoid these cracks which will be damn near impossible to see when the leaves fall and cover the cracks. On a positive note. Most everyone is friendly and this time of year will be beautiful with the leaves turning colors.Hope these issues get fixed, repaired & paved in 2025.

This old Muncie train depot was a really cool stop on my road trip. The gentleman inside was extremely helpful and friendly. He pointed out the low spot in the floor where the ticketmaster stood. Such beautiful architecture. Now a stop on the bike path.

The depot is a wonderful old restored train station building that serves people who use the Cardinal Greenway. However, I was somewhat unhappy with my most recent visit. I had a friend from Brazil visiting me with his girlfriend. They were doing a roadtrip across the US, so I offered to take them on a 3-mile hike along the Cardinal and White River Greenways. I started by showing them the Little Free Library and then the inside of the Depot. As soon as we entered, I had them sign the guestbook. As they were doing that, a woman behind the counter said "Can I help you?" She was not smiling at all. I told her that I was just showing them around. We looked at some of the historic photos on display and then checked out the gift shop. We were waiting for my brother to show up, since he would be walking with us, so we sat down at the table there. The woman walked up to us and asked, "Is there some sort of a problem?" I politely told her that we were just waiting for my brother, since he was on his way to hike with us. Then after some minutes, we left. The woman said nothing. She seemed to resent us being there. The following day, my Brazilian friend realized that he had lost his wallet. So he was checking at all the places he had visited. I stayed in the car while he and his girlfriend checked at the Depot. The same woman was there. She told him no one had found a wallet. Before they left, they took another look inside the gift shop. The woman immediately followed them in and said, "I thought you came here regarding a wallet." So they left.Since none of the places we checked had my friend's wallet, we went back later that day to retrace the steps of our hike. This time we stayed out of the Depot. Amazingly, he actually did find his wallet. He also came across someone's dropped credit card. He actually felt it was necessary to turn it in at the Depot, in case the owner thought to look for it there. So back we went. I stayed outside. He told me she had actually been somewhat friendly that time and even smiled. But she also talked a lot about how the Greenway is supported by contributions from donors. He said he had the impression that she was hoping they would become donors. If that's true, it's kind of strange that she would think that foreign tourists would sign up to become donors.Anyway, I just felt like getting this off my chest. The Depot used to be a wonderful resource for trail users. The first time I went visited it, the fellow working there was extremely helpful. He made sure I had a map and answered all my questions. But now it's apparently being run by someone who doesn't like to deal with the public. I will definitely continue to use the Greenway and the Depot parking lot, but I don't plan to go back inside the Depot any time soon.

This is the centerpiece Cardinal Greenway Trailhead featuring free off street parking, gift shop, benches, restrooms, air conditioned building and beyond the fence an active freight rail line. Nature & Parks
Mounds State Park, situated along the White River near Anderson, is a historical site preserving ten earthworks constructed by the Adena culture over 2,100 years ago. These ancient mounds are believed to have been used for religious ceremonies and are accessible via scenic trails. The park offers various recreational activities such as hiking, fishing, swimming, and camping. Visitors can explore the impressive Great Mound, which features a large circular earthwork enclosure with a central platform.
This park has good amenities for young children, including a nature center, easy trails close to parking, and a playground. Their playground could use some updates but my 2.5 year old was still able to play and have a great time. The playground was shaded during the summer and early fall when we were there, making it a great option on a warm day but beware it may be damp if you go in the morning. They had recently redone the walking path near the great mound and it all looked great. My kids loved the nature center and all the animals they were able to see up close. Hoping to go back for programming at the park.

We stayed overnight in the rv park with our motorhome. Didn’t know what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised to find a nice nature center and then LOTS of trails through the hills and along the river. There’s a historic home there open on the weekends I believe. My 6-year old daughter and I walked for 2 hours and cleared 3 miles. She never complained about it and we enjoyed it so much!

I've always loved Mounds State Park since I was young and going there on either field trips or back when they had a public pool. Now, as an adult and the fall being my favorite season, I still feel like a child again in awe of it's beauty and history. I've only just started walking the trails more and listening to what my Grandma said about if you get lost in the woods, what to do,even tho I still got turned around, I made it out safe 🥰😄 Thank you Grandma Lankford! Miss you soo much! Thank you, Staff at Mounds, for all that you do and for being number one of my "experienced" State Parks.

Eh. The bathrooms are only convenient to the people beside them or in front of them. Depending on where you are in the park it's quite a hike to the bathroom. They don't have sidewalks or anything leading to the bathroom so you have to walk on the main roads. Or you'd be walking through someone's campsite. The women's bathroom is so small no matter what you do when you open that door or close the door you're gonna have to back up onto the toilet so you don't hit yourself with the door. I didn't hike we just camped for the eclipse not one of the best parks I've been to. The hiking looks great. The staff is very friendly. A man was complaining because they have not had hot water for Showers for a couple of days and it's not going to be fixed for a couple of weeks. The electricity went out they look like they are working on it, but we left. There was not a lot of shade because of the time of year the trees did not have leaves, just keep that in mind if you go, a canopy would be nice.

A beautiful park with a very fascinating history. The nature center is great and has a little animal watching area. Camping is pretty good, the campground is beautiful with good hiking trails. But you are in the middle of the city, so a lot of train noises, cars, and airplanes. Perfect for a quick camping trip or a day at the park. If you are looking for a camping retreat might not be the best, although being in a city gives you a lot of other amenities

Very cool place. We went as part of a field trip for my child's school. So we had a guide that told us about the Mounds, a live animal demonstration and a lesson on the atl atl (a weapon used for hunting). Where we also got to try our hand at using it. It was all very interesting and just a peaceful place to be. The staff was all very courteous and knowledgeable. I myself learned a lot. The cost to us was discounted as a group. I'm not sure of the cost of admission, but I know it was cheap. Maybe $9? Parking was easy. There is also a little gift shop that sells a handful of neat items and reasonable prices. Will definitely revisit with the rest of the family.

Harrah's Hoosier Park Casino Racetrack is a popular gaming and entertainment destination in the Indianapolis area. Originally a harness racing track, it has evolved into a year-round racino with a large casino floor offering various gaming options. The highlight of the calendar is the Dan Patch Stakes, attracting visitors for live harness racing from April to November. The venue also features indoor and outdoor concert venues, multiple dining choices, and drinking options.
As we travel in an RV, we find Casinos an awesome place to stop. Plenty of room to maneuver big rigs, entertaining to gamble a bit and most have very good restaurants with bars. We are so glad they allow us to stay.

It is a wonderful place to go. They have a very big variety of slot machines blackjack tables any and all casino things. The restaurants are wonderful to go eat at and they have a great variety of alcoholic beverages. You get free fountain drinks and coffee while you're gambling.

They let people park their vehicles however they please. The bathroom toilet seat covers have to be the cheapest ones you can buy they are trash. It took me 5 minutes just to be able to go to the bathroom because they fell apart in your hands. Ever since Terra Haute Casino opened, I can't seem to catch a win. The slots just keep going downhill and not paying. Tell me why I'm diamond plus, but I get more free play at Terra Haute it makes no logical sense why I only get $10 here but $65 at the other casinos. Also, people put their cigs out on the ground all over the carpet. This place just seems to get worse and worse, probably just go to Terra Haute, honestly. Also, after going through the reviews, I love how this company only comments on the good reviews.

I hate casinos, but I like horses. Didn't win at either one. Clean environment, the horse track and vip tent were right on point. This race, this weekend October 27 to Oct 29 is the one you want to see. Our horse didn't win. If you go bring money, unless you slick enough and don't gamble. But for those who do,awesome place to drop your mortgage and your kids collage fund. Jk gamble responsible. But I had a great time and enjoyed my night.

My first time to a casino. We had been driving all day and night and decided to stop in about midnight. It was a good experience and I learned my lesson about why people sit at one machine all night. I lost about $100, but I'm not complaining. It'd be fun to get together with others and enjoy the atmosphere.

It ain't Vegas, but this is a nice casino for Central Indiana. They just completed some major renovations, which were big improvements. The slot gaming floor is plenty big enough, and my wife and I have had many nice hits over the years, including some jackpots. The tables are nice and plentiful, and they have pretty much every game except Pai Gow. The new dining court is nice, and the view of the race track from the casino is cool, but they could use a few more food options. Same with the bars, they're nice but they could use another one. Don't be afraid to go into the high limits section to order from that bar, even if you're not a high roller. They don't mind. 😁 Drinks are slightly more expensive than normal here, but you can also earn drink tickets if you play enough. Parking is plentiful, and the staff is nice. Plus it's a horse track, so you can go upstairs and bet the ponies if that's your thing. They also have a small sports book upstairs, which is hardly ever crowded.

Came here to try and have some fun on the casino floor with my husband and in-laws and make my donation (because people don’t come here to win) My license is expired and I have a paper ID (that the BMV provides) I was refused entry to the casino floor because I’m under the age of 30 and they won’t accept my paper ID if your under 30. They have nothing on their website giving this information. I’m well over the gambling age of 21 they said because I’m under 30 I can’t come in because that’s their rule. (Is that ageism?) Wish they would make this information known online so I wouldn’t have wasted my time driving here.

Not a very good casino. Food options are poor at best, the bar is very basic. A lot of old broken slots and table games are all auto or continuous shuffle. Staff seem untrained. The dealers, floor staff, cage workers, and security all seemed to genuinely dislike their jobs. The food workers and cleaners were a bit friendlier. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place, especially when your ID has to be scanned and recorded in their database just to walk in the door.

It's better with the remodel. Floor is much more open and less cramped. Good selection of slots. However, two things I don't like 1. The food at the new cafe area has significantly declined - the old cafe was nice and food was good. 2. Still not smoke free. I'd rather travel to Terre Haute from Indy to enjoy clean air while losing my money.

Loved watching the live races at the homestretch steakhouse. Our server was knowledgeable about horses and helped us figure out how to interpret the race catalog so we could place educated bets. It was a fun time!

Okay, I am back with another review. After 5 years they have really upgraded and updated the floor the atmosphere and the slot machines very nice, very clean. It's more open with more space. It kind of reminds me of the Mirage in Las Vegas. It is beautiful, great job. The slot machines are a lot better. Hey, you can even win money. Money money go and enjoy the drinks and the atmosphere. You won't be disappointed but don't forget. The casino always wins, so just enjoy yourself.... I got my hand pay..

The Casino is very nice. They just renovated and it is huge now! My host Lisa Putnam is the best. She is always there when I need anything. She is an amazing person! They have the latest slots and are fun to play. I would recommend Hoosier Park to anyone.

I will never return to this place. I came here with my family to hang out for Labor Day, and I was playing a machine, a man sat down and removed my ticket from it. People around me saw that I had not abandoned the machine. I told him this, but he claimed he didn’t know anyone was playing, which wasn’t true. Why would someone leave a machine with money in it? It’s frustrating that the security manager, Tori, claimed I had abandoned the machine based on the camera footage and what she heard. Seriously? Then I was asked to leave while the other person got to stay, even though we both made comments. After traveling two hours to get here, I will never come back again.

My Husband and I love going to spend an evening Playing At the casino everyone seems nice and Friendly And It's Always Nice when we win a jackpot . We go frequently it's just a nice place to get away .

Fun place to go, clean, blue moon on draft is $8 though. It's pretty easy to find your way around as it's a smaller casino. Parking is easier than most casinos as there is no garage, just a big lot.

This place has changed a lot since covid. I haven't been since 2019. They rearranged the positioning of certain sections, and I was completely lost going in there for the first time after almost 5 years. Don't let that ruin your own personal experience, because I did manage to walk out with almost $300, while only walking in there planning to spend 50
Ryan — Google review
Machines are very tight. They've removed machine that DID pay out and put more $5 minimum bet on the main floor. No competition. Payoff on $10 bet results in nothing, $1 or $2. Used to have fun here, But not any more. U have to give away too much $$ nowadays.!!!

We stopped here in August on the way from Ohio to our home in the Chicago area. It was so worth the stop then, that we immediately made plans to return in early November with a friend to attend the premier of the 2+ hour version of the movie Hoosiers. The return trip and visit was enjoyed as much as the first. Bob and Merv are two of the most passionate, inspiring people that you will meet, and they make sure your visit to their museum is the best. If you visit - and you should - please be sure to consider making a charitable donation to support their good work.

Just happened to stop by because we saw their sign on the main road thru town. I've been watching this show every fall since it has come out. I am so glad that they kept this place exactly the way it was in the movie. They let us shoot some hoops there and got to go down to the famous locker room. The lady overseeing it for the day was a gem! Full of information and so kind to show us around. I got to learn what was true of the "based on a true story". I was surprised. You gotta check it out.

If u have seen the movie Hoosiers or played basketball in small gyms like the gym in knightstown, this is a must-see. We were lucky enough to have a board member on site the day we stopped. He gave a tremendous tour. He is very proud of their gym. 10/10

If you like history and basketball, this is a place you need to visit. Hoosier Gym is where most of the game scenes for the movie "Hoosiers" was filmed. Great atmosphere and nostalgia.

I came here for a work meeting and loved it. The 1936 floor was beautifully restored. So much dedication has gone into preserving this space. Nice work to the locals and investors. Who saved it from the wrecking ball.

A magical place to visit that brings back amazing feelings about the movie. The people who work here couldn't be friendlier or more knowledgeable.
Craig M — Google review
We really enjoyed seeing the gym from the movie. We were given a tour, and we were even able to shoot some hoops! They had the 1939 bus that was used in the movie sitting outside to see and sit in. It even still runs, and we saw it driving in town after we left. Gene Hackman's car from the movie is usually displayed there, but it was gone the day we were there. They have a small gift shop and an area with memorabilia displayed. It's all free; however, you are welcome to leave a donation. We love old homes/ architecture, and we drove around the town after our tour. There are so many beautiful homes and buildings there. The old school next to the gym blew us away. We're so glad we stopped.

We took my son’s basketball and swim team here and rented the gym for two hours. What an amazing experience. Huge thanks to the volunteers you work so hard to keep this treasure open. I encourage everyone to visit and support.

I’ve traveled the country searching out different filming locations. From the “Christmas Story” house in Cleveland to the Eastern Sierra of “Tremors” fame. The Hoosiers Gym tops them all!

Really cool place to visit! Loved the iconic gym and locker room! Gotta be sure to support places like this! Admission is donation only, gift shop is reasonably priced!

If you loved the movie Hoosiers, this gym is a must-see. It's the actual location where they filmed. Almost gives you goose bumps. Great piece of Americana, too. Oh, and they let you shoot baskets, too. How awesome is that!

Awesome nostalgia. Such a cool historic gym even if the movie hadn't been filmed here. Knowledgeable volunteers and a great gift shop selection.

An absolute hidden treasure in Indiana. A gem. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and super friendly. I was enthralled by the place. They also sell Hickory gear. I am so glad we saw the sign on the highway and stopped. A must visit if you love the move Hoosiers and are in Indiana.

They are closed on Sunday, but my brother-in-law is a big fan of the movie. So, while we were traveling from California, we went by for him to at least get some outside shots. As we were there, they were taking down the amerrican flag for the evening. They asked if we wanted to see inside. Got a tour by the wonderful caretaker. What a finish to the day. We are so grateful to them. Keep up the great work!!!!!

Absolute, PHENOMENAL place to play. My daughter and her team had the privilege of playing in this historical gym and grabbing a 35-14 victory for the BGC Thunder. If given the opportunity, we would love to come back and play here again.

Concerts & Shows
Ruoff Music Center, formerly known as Deer Creek Music Center, is the largest outdoor music venue in the Indianapolis area. With a capacity for nearly 25,000 spectators, it hosts major tours and festivals across various musical genres from May through fall. While some visitors have experienced delays exiting the parking lot after events, many locals praise its efficient operation and security measures.
I went to see Jelly Roll and it was a sold out show. Besides it being jam packed it was a all in all great time. The staff we encountered were super nice and helpful. I haven’t been in so long and a lot has changed. I definitely plan on going back soon again. I sent an email to inquire about something and they returned it quickly. All in all a great experience. They also sent out many informative emails leading up to the concert. They made it aware that it was likely going to be hectic. Everyone seemed super cool and helpful. Very impressive considering 25K was there.

Covered pavilions like this are my absolute favorite to attend concerts at! Jacobs pavilion in Ohio is pretty comparable to this one. Lots of drink options and prices are about what you'd expect. Great food options as well and the bathrooms were pretty clean. The volunteers working there were all really nice and helpful 🥰 It's always a good time here!

I took my son to his first concert…Luke Bryan at Ruoff. This was my fist time to see a concert there since before the pandemic, and we had a great experience. We had reserved seats (v. the lawn), and the staff members that we encountered were friendly and helpful. I was also impressed with the amenities, selection of food and beverage and the sound. Do yourself a favor and purchase the premium parking. It’s worth every penny.

We had a great time at Ruoff during the Halestorm and I Prevail show! The sound quality was awesome, and so was the light show. We parked in preferred parking, so we got into the show quickly and back home fast. The hamburgers and chicken strip were good. Plenty access to bars and drinks if needed.

I've got to brag on some of the awesome employees at this venue. They make every experience great! I've had pleasant and great interactions with multiple staff members! Amara, Sarah, and Autumn have helped with MANY questions I've had! They have always provided great customer service and found any answers needed!Ryon from the pit staff also deserves a HUGE SHOUT OUT. Every interaction I've had with him in the pit has been remarkable. My friend passed out and he was QUICK to respond and get her to safety. He kept a close eye on us the rest of the evening. He really really cares about the concert goers and you can see it in his work! I can't say enough good things about him after this last show. He's always got a smile and takes great care of the patrons. You can tell when people enjoy their work, and I can see it in all the Ruoff employees!

Family and I have been coming here for years!! Definitely a family tradition to come here at least once a year. Never have had any issues with this venue. Staff are always friendly. Definitely plenty of restrooms now which is awesome (no more long lines!) Only thing I would recommend, make sure you drink before coming in because it’s expensive but it has always been like that.

Been to many concerts here, and it's one of the only venues where I enjoy the concerts regardless of whether you're on the lawn or seating area.Free parking (unless upgrading to VIP), lawn chair rental or bring your own (not for sold-out), and vendors walking around so you don't have to wait in line for foods or drinks (if you want something quick).Recommend coming in early on sold-out concerts. Prevents you from walking far and saving a spot on the lawn.

Section C row K seats 7&8. Excellent views but packed in like a cheap flight. Drink options have improved in the last 15 yrs. Leaving the parking lot was terrible! We had to go out several blocks before being able to circle around & head the correct way.
Krystal D — Google review
Great venue if it's decent out. Covered pavilion with large fans above but it was very hot for us. Plenty of food and drinks. Be prepared to spend a lot on drinks if that's what you're doing ... $20 for a beer. Sound was great and had no technical difficulties, place was clean with port o potties all over. Parking was easy to get in and out... At the end they do direct everyone in the same direction without a care of where you're headed.... We had to backtrack 2 miles because of that ... It wasn't a huge deal though.

I love this venue. We always tailgate to wait out the hectic leave. Music was great! Cocktails were great! Company was great! It is quite a drive from my place, though.

Sold out show for Imagine Dragons. First time at venue. Arrived late, but general admission parking was a breeze and was very close to lawn entry! Had great seats in pavilion and acoustics were very good. All employees we encountered were friendly and helpful.Leaving took a little bit longer as lots emptied out, but was done in an orderly manner. It was a great concert and venue!

I’ve attended MANY concerts here and have enjoyed every one! Whether you’re in the lawn or pavilion, it’s a great experience! Many options for food and drink. Even for sober people like my husband and I! Plenty of bathrooms & wash stations! Everyone who works there seems to be super nice! It’s overall just a great vibe for a concert venue!

They have taken away any place to sit and eat without paying just to sit except for your paid seat. The attractive islands with trees and plants and concrete slab and brick raised beds you could sit and eat. PLUS they added a more pleasant atmosphere!Nice you can upgrade tickets, but they always have "trouble" with their WIFI!No cost to park is a big plus!

Like many of the locals, I still call it Deer Creek sometimes and I've seen concerts here for decades! It's a great venue and it's operated very well. They know how to get people in and out of the concession areas, the restrooms, and the parking lot as quickly and possible. The security forces and local law enforcement work well together and I've never felt unsafe here. Like everything with Ticketmaster and Live Nation, it's expensive but if you really want to see an artist you pay a premium. The VIP experience looks very cool but I haven't done it yet.

Always a fun time watching shows here! Every staff member we spoke with was super friendly and helpful! It's a great venue to catch all our favorite bands!!!
Matt P — Google review
Great venue for concerts. Plenty of lawn space if you get general admission and the drink stands have a wide variety of options to choose from. If you do want to bring your own water, make sure that the bottle is sealed before you enter, as they are very strict on the bottles that they let you bring in. The biggest downside of this place is that on big events, the traffic can be bad when leaving the concert, but that is expected from most places.
Max B — Google review
This is a great venue, really enjoyed it here. The only thing they really need to work on is exiting the parking area. Got the chance to upgrade our tickets for 20 dollars a seat once we entered the venue. It was awesome so glad we got there early.

We had an AMAZING time at Ruoff for the Dave Matthews Band concert. The box tickets in the pavilion are so worth it because you have staff bringing you food and drink so you don’t have to miss the show to go stand in line! The staff was so friendly. And we had no wait times getting in. Some congestion getting out, but that is expected. Great venue!!

Great venue. Upgraded to premium parking, we didn't have far to walk and got out really quickly after the concert. Loved how open it was, lots of room. Saw Cage the Elephant, and it was an AWESOME concert!!

This place is pretty good, we came to see Slipknot and it was amazing. The food is expensive, like really expensive, $20 a sandwich expensive. So go with LOTS of MONEY in your bank account just in case. Orbit culture and Knocked loose played before Slipknot, They did an awesome getting everyone pumped up for Slipknot. Slipknot was so awesome! They played songs like "Wait and bleed" and "Prosthetics" and "liberate from their first album self-titled SLIPKNOT.

It was a great night for a great concert. First time sitting in the pavilion. I always take my wife to see New Kids On The Bock for her bday. Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff was great too! Didnt realize that Paula was so small and tiny. She did amazing for 62 yrs young. We had great seats. They always put on a great show. See y'all next time ya come to town. Loved the VIP section and parking. That's the way to go there. We didn't have to wait in line to get in or back to our car and out with no problems or wait. That was definitely the fasted I've ever been in and out of that place for any concert or event.
