Cute place to stop and eat and let the kiddo run around after a long day of driving. Conveniently off the highway and next to fast food stops!

Hona M — Google review

This is far more than just a quick stop to something quirky. The statue is great, but the museum really makes this place shine. The information is actually interesting and the gift shop has some funny souvenirs.

Thirteendays — Google review

Cute little park and museum with lots of nostalgia! Super clean bathrooms and cutel gift shop and toy/play area inside. Fun music park adjacent to the statue.

Jenn F — Google review

Green Giant Statue Park is a delightful and quirky roadside attraction that is definitely worth a visit! Standing tall at 55 feet, the iconic Green Giant statue is a fun sight to behold and makes for great photo opportunities. The park is well-kept and features informative plaques that share the history of the Green Giant brand, adding a touch of nostalgia. The surrounding area is peaceful, with picnic tables and green space perfect for a relaxing break during your travels. Whether you're a fan of unique landmarks or just passing through, Green Giant Statue Park is a charming spot that brings a smile to your face.

I was told the true story of the County, the company and the timeline account for the exact memories that were described including critical think and hard fought treaties concerning the way in which was to be agreed to establishing as the story to be told and even performing specific details with insistent instructions so as to allow for an almost first person view of the giant standing directly up above you and the town of Blue Earth and for miles yet further of cultivated farm land. The richness of the dark nutrient holding soil and the fruit it had yielded. .. "Ho Ho Ho.... Green Giant sultry and sweet as he bent down on one knee to propose to the joy of his life and existence up untill that very moment. He was right! He loved us more!

Jason H — Google review

Blue Earth is a good spot to stop, refuel, grab some food, and visit the Green Giant. The statue is in a cute little park and right across the museum. It’s a campy little detour to add some fun to a long road of corn fields.

Sara S — Google review

Amazing amount of memorabilia! It's definitely quirky. Some stuff to do, but not overly interactive for small kids.

Sarah C — Google review

Fun little park with a nostalgic feel reminding you of the Jolly Greem Giant and Sprout commercials growing up! Eat your veggies!

Chris W — Google review

Fun park and nice museum with friendly staff. Great spot to get off the highway and take a break to stretch your legs for a bit.

Jkd — Google review

Quirky place to stop at just off the interstate. Nice museum with cool Green Giant artifacts and historical tellings.

Christina A — Google review

Very cute park with the Jolly Green Giant himself, along with Sprout. There's a little shop and museum in the building. Dogs are allowed on the grounds and inside.

Sarah S — Google review

This was a neat roadside stop traveling to the east coast. Nice quick break and a little bit to look at. There’s a little store and small park too. Worth a break to stretch your legs!

Erik G — Google review

This is a fabulous park! Make time to get off the beaten path to play a while... both adults and children!

Angela L — Google review

OK, so a bit unusual, but the park has much more to offer than a Jolly Green Giant and his little buddy. The instruments built into the pad are great! What a genius idea. And the bike repair station with every kind of allen wrench and tire pump. Brilliant! Stop and see and grab an ice cream next door at DQ.

Jeffrey N — Google review

Great place to visit. Lots of history in the Museum and store. Lots of gifts you can't get anywhere else.

Rick E — Google review

I used an online road trip planner which was how I found out about the Green Giant Statue.I thought it was fun! Great place to get out and stretch and see a giant statue! I'm a fan of oddities/art so i enjoyed wandering around. I stopped in the visitor center - used the bathroom, looked through the gift shop, talked to the employees.

Laurel C — Google review

Coolest park ever! Where else can you climb under a huge plastic giant? The 55 foot Green Giant is the showpiece of a nice park. You will find a one mile walking path, camping, restroom, and a very fun museum and visitors center.

Rick J — Google review

Fun little stop on a road trip, and the city has been making it better and better all the time. When I first stopped here over 20 years ago, it was just a statue. Now there's a park with a musical playground thing and picnic tables, museum, bathrooms, and even electric car charging ports. I haven't checked out the newest welcome center / museum, but it looks better than the old one, which was fine.

Jake S — Google review

A great place to stop for a rest especially if you’retraveling with kids! I’ve been here before, 11 years ago, and I was so pleased they’ve improved the area with more things too see. I especially loved seeing the little sprout statues around town…like a little scavenger hunt!

SiCA K — Google review

The park has been improved and it's a nice quick stop that is fun. There is a nice new welcome center. There is some cool musical playground equipment that our kids loved. You can climb up some steps to stand under the giant. It looks nice and is kept up. 5 stars may be a bit high, but it exceeded my expectations and was a fun stop for 20 minutes. We were surprised to enjoy it as much as we did.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! First visited 3 yrs ago with my husband. We loved it then too. My girlfriend moved out to MN almost 2 years ago and this was her first time there. They of course have all kinds of candy but they have so much more! They have a whole collection of different flavored hot chocolate, different seasonings and sauces, meats, confections, candies you'll remember from your childhood.........seriously, if you can't find something to enjoy here, you're not trying hard enough. They have different sections, each of them themed. It's seriously just a cool place to check out. We had so much fun.

Pearl A — Google review

I think something's are overpriced but others aren't so it kind balances out. It's more convenient than anything if you're there to pick up some specific treats and then you want the other things you can get cheaper elsewhere. The Cash only thing is awesome. I'm a big believer in cash as I am a bartender and server. But I think it's really messed up that we can't tip the people who help us. And there's like a manager hovering over their shoulders at all times so they can't accept tips. And there's literally a camera over every single cash register line and it seems like the employees are very unhappy and uncomfortable. I'm not sure if they feel comfortable talking about that to customers because there's a boss over their shoulder at all times micromanaging them, but I think that policy should change. If you aren't paying them at least $10 an hour or $15 an hour, they should be able to get tips because otherwise that's just kind of a grueling job. It's really hot. The atmosphere is over stimulating It's super busy and very physically demanding. Otherwise, it was really nice to see some of the Finnish snacks and Japanese snacks that were there and I appreciated the soda collection as well

Alyssia K — Google review

Finally tried the apple bread as there was advertisements all over the store and the smell was intoxicating. We started from one side and worked our way towards the middle. We noticed the bread getting softer and softer…. Then we realized the dough was completely raw in the middle. Currently annoyed by the fact that there’s no web site, Facebook or phone number to contact them at and give them the needs up they need baking lessons.

Justin M — Google review

Spent over an hour here this time with my youngest and we both had a great time. A variety of local apples and just about any candy type you can think of. We tried a variety of candies that were new for us and including some strawberry cheesecake taffy and I found a new favorite, it is great! We went on a Friday afternoon during the school season and it was way less busy with plentiful parking and walking space which we both appreciated. I will go back again when the mood hits me maybe for pie and apples next time.

Brad O — Google review

This place is always so fun to visit. Makes you think of the past and be amazed by so many different kinds of confections, candy, baked goods and soda. There is definitely something for everyone.

Windy K — Google review

Crazy place...must stop if driving by....lots more than just candy. Extremely well run business. Well stocked with items you haven't seen since you were a child at an old time candy store. They do not overprice anything...they must work on volume. The place was packed on a weekday.Definitely worth the stop...even to just look around.

Dave G — Google review

Never seen so much candy, soda, pie, and specialty foods in one place. Also many other cool things like life size Marvel and Disney characters and a life size animatronic character band. If you have a sweet tooth this is the place to go!!!

Dan V — Google review

What a fun time! We spent nearly two hours here and could have stayed longer. The selection of drinks and candy is second to none, and you'll find both old and new varieties. The bakery smells delicious as soon as you enter....try the apple bread, you won't regret it! There's soooo much in this store you didn't know you needed!!

Becky ( — Google review

What an amazing place to check out! They have an excellent selection of candy from everywhere. The murals are breathtaking . Will defiantly visit next time I visit minnesota

Vesna M — Google review

This is a must stop and see! They have pretty much every candy you can imagine. The honey crisp apples are amazing! They have so much more than just candy! I wish I would have bought one of their fresh baked pies or tried some of their homemade fudge! They have so much cool stuff! The staff is super friendly! There is plenty of parking, and the whole place is handicap accessible. They only accept cash or checks, but they do have an ATM. Definitely worth changing our route back home to go see!

Becky W — Google review

Bring CASH, otherwise use the cash machine, or bring yer checkbook! We don't have kids, and spent $135 on puzzles, apple desserts, candy selections, chips, strawberry kit kats, stickers, great pop for $1.99 each! We have been here before, but spent 3 hours looking around at everything. You'll have loads of fun! Enjoy all 50 of my photos... That's the max they'll allow!

Heidi G — Google review

A must see spot just for the art and figures strewn about the ceiling of this humongous place. I was in awe of how cool it was. They even have an automation candy band playing songs every 5 mins. Just about every fairytale, pixar movie character, and marvel character and much more are represented. Then of course there is the candy, rooms and rooms of it. Every flavor taffy, giant suckers, sour candies, gum, old school and new it's all there. But there is also jellies, sauces, fancy pastas, local meats, bakery items, cheeses, spices... There's a lot here and definitely worth a stop. I was there a lot longer then I thought I'd be. But wasn't upset about it. The only thing that made my visit less than satisfactory is that I bought some hamburger which had a price of $7.25. The girl at the register couldn't read it and wasn't sure if it was a 5 or a 9. I told her it's a 5. She asked the lady at the next register. I'm not even sure she looked at it and said it's a 9 we don't sell anything with a 5. I said I'm not going to argue with you over 4 cents but it was a 5. However, in this review I'll say; the meat you have for sale is sold by weight and those prices end in all types of numbers. So, whomever the manger is you may want to inform your cashiers of that. As well to question a customer over 4 cents is silly. Other than that my experience was pleasant and I do recommend you stop. Hope when you cash out you're experience is more pleasant than mine.

Every year we go here for father's day weekend. 2-3 hours of time to see everything is perfect. Look forward to seeing all the different varieties of candies, drinks, meats, cheeses, and chips. Have recommended in the past and will continue to do so. Excited to see the new store when it's built!

John L — Google review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store in Jordan, and it was an experience like no other! From the moment I approached the store, its vibrant facade promised an adventure inside, and it certainly delivered. The interior is an absolute feast for the eyes—each corner is a new wonder/ new world.Walking through, I was transported to various fantastical realms: Star Wars, Marvel, underwater worlds, and Toy Story themes—just to name a few. It felt like stepping into a candy wonderland where every inch was thoughtfully designed and brimming with nostalgic charm. The sheer variety of candy, chips, drinks, seasonings, dressings , etc available was astonishing. It was a bit overwhelming, but in the best way possible. However, I did encounter a minor hiccup—they only accept cash, checks, and a one other payment method but no credit or debit cards. This caught me off guard and was a bit frustrating at the time, especially given the sheer volume of sweets I wanted to take home!Despite this small inconvenience, I was completely captivated by the store’s charm and the remarkable selection. I’m already planning my next visit and will be sure to come prepared with cash. For anyone who loves candy or just wants a fun, immersive shopping experience, this place is a must-see!

Jason M — Google review

This place is a must visit! Never ending options of candy, pasta, chips and locally made food. You can find candy from main box stores in addition to candy from around the world you’ve never seen before. They have fresh baked pies and a large selection of soda pops. The artwork and statures are great for photos and you can easily spend an hour + here! There is ample parking and they do not take debit or credit cards. They do have ATMs on sight. Highly recommend!

Joel J — Google review

I was there for almost an hour before I even started shopping, I was so overwhelming, consumed with the atmosphere, and taking pictures. It's the kind of place I would drive out of my way to stop again! And that's just for the atmosphere!!I have a case of 24 bottles of root beer (no two are the same!) Plus. All kinds of candy!Did I mention that I also spent an hour just blown away by the shear volume of candy you have to choose from!Who's ever business model this this was?"Yer frickin BRILLIANT"R.3.&-DEOHGEE.

Riki F — Google review

I hadn't been to this place in a while. If you are in the area it's definitely worth a stop. There's more than just candy.. there's pies, pancake mixes, pastas, sauces, puzzles, sodas, and tons of just fun, silly, cheeses, meats and creative items. They only take cash so come prepared with cash. They do have ATM's but there's (I think) a $2.50 fee... So be aware of that.I'm excited to try my first pie from there... we got a caramel apple pie.Overall the prices we're not too bad.. there's some items you find at normal stores and to be honest I'd avoid those... but, spend your money on those rare, unique, or hard to find items, which there's a ton of those. Not only the staff... But in general everyone was nice and friendly. It's just a place to go, enjoy, and have a good time.. just remember to bring cash😁.They will eventually be moving the location due to upcoming construction, but at this for this year it'll be there, so whether you've never been or haven't been in a while, it's a good time to make a trip there.

The S — Google review

Upon visiting the venue, I was struck by the captivating and immersive experience featuring beloved characters from the Marvel universe and Disney movies. The presence of a singing band dedicated to entertaining kids with popular Marvel characters and Disney movie personas added an element of joy and liveliness to the atmosphere. Additionally, the sight of Spider-Man hanging on the outside of the building and the array of baked treats available further enriched the overall experience, creating a delightful ambiance that catered to both children and adults. The graphics at the venue were truly impressive, contributing to the engaging and visually stimulating environment. It was evident that meticulous attention was given to the design and presentation of the space, enhancing the overall appeal and providing visitors with a thoroughly enjoyable visual experience. However, it was disappointing to note the exclusive focus on Biden-related merchandise, which detracted from the otherwise carefree and fun atmosphere. In order to preserve the venue's welcoming and non-partisan ambiance, it is crucial for such spaces to maintain political neutrality or avoid political references altogether. This would ensure that visitors can fully immerse themselves in the enjoyable and lighthearted atmosphere without encountering potentially divisive elements. In conclusion, the venue's innovative incorporation of beloved characters, delightful entertainment, and visually stunning elements creates a wonderful and memorable experience for visitors. Moving forward, it would be beneficial for the venue to consider a more balanced approach to merchandise and thematic elements, maintaining a focus on providing a carefree and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons. Please note that no specific references were found in the documents provided, so the response is based on general knowledge and creative interpretation of the requested content.

Some many amazing candy from all over the place. Tons of superhero and Star Wars statues. Your children will probably never want to leave, so be prepared.

Brian P — Google review

They added more artwork minions toy story blue and of course Harry Potter the Harry Potter. It was highly disappointed because of where they put it. Oh make no mistakes. They did a good job just as where they put it. It's hard to see it all cuz it's right in the middle of a doorway you almost missed some of it. So please look for Voldemort. The pie was not as good this time. It's usually out of this world. It was not cooked enough. We brought it home and re-cooked it plus the topping was not the same. The French Apple did not have the same kind of topping, but that's okay. We did try some of the meat this time. I have to say the cheddar brats are out of the ballpark. The bacon was good

Kerri B — Google review

Find anything you could possibly want in the candy or puzzle world here. Great roadside stop with the family. Fresh produce and baked goodies and treats from all over the world. I suggest going off season. It gets a bit crazy.

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, part of the University of Minnesota, is a sprawling 1,200-acre public garden featuring scenic display gardens, woodlands, ponds, prairie landscapes, and various sculptures. Visitors can explore the Japanese Garden and Rose Garden while enjoying the natural beauty of the area. The arboretum hosts educational programs and events throughout the year. With its stunning summer flowers that bloom into September and vibrant fall foliage in October, it's a must-see destination for nature enthusiasts.

This was probably my favorite stop on my recent trip to Minnesota. We went late August and there were still some absolutely GORGEOUS sections of flowers left. Tons of trees, shrubs, hedges, and multiple waterfalls, too. A three mile walk and three mile drive that are both beautiful. They also have a beautiful prairie, hedge maze, sculpture garden, greenhouse, boardwalk, and visitor center. There are other trails branching off the boardwalk that you could walk for miles, with easy to navigate maps. We saw songbirds, turkeys, rabbits, butterflies, honeybees, and bumblebees. Admission is $15 for non-members, remember to purchase your tickets in advance online. Worth every penny and we probably spent about 3 hours here, but would have spent all day had it not been over 100 degrees. Parking is easy and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Perfect place for a fall stroll or even just some time in nature. Amazing views and very well maintained arboretum. The even do events and it’s the perfect place to go and get engaged if you were ever thinking of it. The staff at the arboretum is awesome at coordinating with you to pick the perfect spot for an engagement or even a different ceremony. Lots of awesome events and little things to do here. Buy your tickets ahead of time and be prepared for a small parking nightmare, but it’s great to go here

Samuel S — Google review

If you have a passion for nature, flowers, and trees, this destination is a must-see. Located less than a 30-minute drive from downtown Minneapolis, it offers a vast area to explore. A drive-through visit provides a delightful experience, and the ticket price is reasonable. Taking the time to admire the Tulip flowers near the welcome center can turn this into an unforgettable half-day trip with your family. I highly recommend visiting this place at least once if you find yourself in Minnesota.

Jijo J — Google review

As you arrive your first stop will be to either buy tickets or to have your pre purchased tickets scanned. While it's easy to buy there it does save everyone in line a bit of time if you pre buy them.Next find a parking spot. Curve to the right to find most parking or go left after the big building to find the three mile drive. Make sure to do this drive regardless of whatever else you are doing that day.Once you park there is plenty to explore. Take your time and truly enjoy your time here. Take a few pictures and then put your phone away. Especially on the trails. We barely saw anyone on the Ridge trail, which was really too bad because it's gorgeous. If timing is short at least do the green heron trail. There is plenty to explore inside the buildings as well. Bathrooms are in good condition and they have water bottle refill stations.

Tiffany R — Google review

So beautiful! Enough flowers still blooming. Each garden section was so well cared for. I loved the variety and appreciate the sheer number of different plants there are to see. The 3 mile drive was peaceful. I wish i had more time. If i lived close enough i would definitely have a member pass to go more often.

What a beautiful place! Many areas easily accessible by wheelchair. I’d recommend taking the tram tour, as the guide was so knowledgeable. Lots of trials of different trees and plants. Huge hosta garden, beautiful annuals, rose garden, Japanese garden, sculpture garden, Chinese garden, vegetable gardens… Great way to enjoy a day outdoors.

Only had a couple hours, so made the.most of it. Had a light lunch at Cafeteria (good soup). Then started walking the paths near main lodge. Nice spring flowers in bloom. Our favorite was the Japanese gardens with azaleas in full bloom.

Amazing, beautiful and breathtaking! This place is enormous and I clearly need to come back quite a times. I highly recommend if you love flowers, plants and nature you'll love the Arboretum. And kids are FREE! (under 15)

Have per person rate or memberships. Totally worth the price if you want landscape ideas, or just enjoy nature. Have road trails, bike trails, walking trails both paved and unpaved. You can bring a cooler on wheels and sandwiches, eat at a picnic table (no grills). Handicapped accessible out houses along trails. If you want to see everything plan on spending the day.

Great event at their recent Holidays Light Show Tour. Warm and friendly fire pits to keep you toasty. Tasty stores to make. The lighted trails were gorgeous and very hiking friendly well lit and posted. Staff was very helpful and did a great job. Had some good tunes inside the building. Enjoyed good adult beverages sitting next the fireplace. Overall a perfect event for our New Year's Eve celebration. I would highly recommend attending. Reasonable prices on all tickets, food and drinks.

It was a dream! They say Autumn is always beautiful in Vermont, BUT this place was breathtaking. The autumn colors, the autumn smells and the sound of walking on leaves was so magical.

Lovely, sculpted exhibitions. A wonderful visitor center with every amenity imaginable and a gallery and restaurant. The gift shop has a little bit of everything. 10/10 experience but dress for the weather/bugs!

I spent an afternoon here in early May and felt like I barely scratched the surface of this gorgeous arboretum. Well-maintained paths, beautiful flowers and trees, and peaceful surroundings. A great place to visit if you enjoy birding. The visitor’s center has a wonderful gift shop and clean and spacious restrooms. Purchase your ticket online and have the QR code ready to scan when you arrive at the gate for a smooth and swift experience.

As an aspiring botanist, this place was amazing. I enjoyed the many and varied gardens. The waterfall was gorgeous as well.I loved the pollinator center the most. One thing I want to point out is the many workers tending to the gardens. It is amazing and encouraging to see them work. Hopefully, I could do that someday.

C. M — Google review

There was an art fair going on, which was so much fun to go to. I loved seeing the beautiful tulips and the other spring flowers. We had lunch in the Arboretum, which was okay. It wasn't as terrific as the last time I ate there, but there are lots of different choices. I had the turkey sandwich on cranberry bread.

Caryn G — Google review

Beautiful grounds and so much to see. Great variety between all the gardens and the tram tour seemed like a great way to fit it all into a single day. The farm was especially interesting, with fantastic looking produce and a very picturesque barn.

Joshua S — Google review

Gorgeous and well worth visiting!! After walking around the gardens near the visitor center, we took the free Bee-line shuttle around the three-mile drive and visited various areas of the grounds. One of the shuttle drivers mentioned their favorite plant of the entire place is the kaleidoscope plant inside the conservatory. Wow, that was cool! Looking forward to visiting again!

The staff are so friendly and funny! They made sure we had a great time and assured my friends and I that everything would go smoothly, making us feel safe. I was very nervous about the first zip line, but then I realized it wasn’t that scary! It was definitely fun, and the views were stunning! I would 100% do it again. After you’re done zip lining, you get to cross this bridge!

Sabrina O — Google review

We had a great time riding this zip line in Jordan! It is a beautiful course and each zip line has its own flavor. Issac helped launch us and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend if you like outdoor adventures!

Ben L — Google review

Drove up a day early for U of M graduation from South Dakota so that we could take my daughter ziplining. Had it booked out a couple of weeks. Got an email at around 8 p.m. the night before telling me they have staffing issues and need to cancel. I would think staffing issues would be well known way before the night before. So we are out about $130 extra dollars because we didn't need to stay the extra night. Had they given us enough notice, we could have made other plans or just waited a day before making the 4 hour drive. I am not happy needless to say. So unless they plan on also refunding us the hotel room as well as the money for ziplining, we won't be back.

Ann H — Google review

Great scenery, 3 zip lines, knowledgeable, courtesy staff! Definitely worth the money- book 2 back to back for ultimate enjoyment.

The staff is amazing with people of all skill levels. We had a guest who was completely new to ropes courses. They were patient when they got scared stiff and wouldn't move. They even came out to where he was and helped him get to the next section! It was a very uplifting moment for everyone and it made the experience a very memorable day for us.

Awesome place with great staff and great views!! My family loved the high-ropes course and the zip-lines were a lot of fun; even for a guy who isn't the biggest fan of heights. Duane and his team are awesome and we will definitely be back and highly recommend you check it out!

My work group came here for a team building day and had a blast! Super nice folks, lots of fun stuff to do, and it was just excellent to be out in nature for the afternoon! Duane was easy to communicate with and the entrance is well signed. Everyone had definitely worked up an appetite by the end, but everyone left in a great mood. All the safety gear here felt very secure and seemed to be well cared for and in good condition. We left with a few mosquito bites (remember your bug spray! We forgot ours) and a handful of small bruises from our *creative* techniques to climb the giant ladder. Sights & Landmarks

Paisley Park is the former home and recording studio of the iconic musician Prince, located in Chanhassen, Minnesota. This private estate and production complex offers guided tours that allow visitors to explore exhibits showcasing Prince's life and career, as well as his legendary recording studio. Cameras and phones are not allowed on the tour, providing an intimate look into how the music legend lived. The estate also features special exhibitions that add further intrigue to the experience.

I did the 3 hour tour... It was nice to be immersed in Prince's home, enjoying the design and vision for the hang out areas and the studios... The facility's layout, in general, seems very dreamy, yet well-thought-out... Their preservation of so many details and wardrobe pieces must be hard work, but they are doing a great job! Don't expect to be able to take photos until the very, very end when you tour the club/concert venue. Don't expect to see an elevator or bedroom or bathroom or his kitchen. This tour is focused on music, which is one of the many reasons we love our boy isn't it?! Often times, someone's legacy gets disturbed by other drama or politics, but I must say that Paisley Park is keeping it all about the music, so thank you 💜🫶🏻😇🫶🏻💜

Loved the museum and The Ultimate Experience Tour! I can't even describe how amazing it was to be in Paisley Park! Our tour guide was Jess and she only works on Fridays. If you go, I hope you get her as a guide. The amount of knowledge she has about Prince is astounding. I came away with so much more love and respect for his music because of the wonderful experience I had on the tour. I will definitely come back!

Nicole C — Google review

Ultimate tour May 2024. Superbly run visit by the staff. Jessica was our guide and very knowledgeable. We arrived early and were allowed into the gift shop, then 20 mins before the tour went to the main entrance. Restricted on photos and do not touch anything or lean on walls, etc, but that's the artistic element. It's totally recommended if a fan or not. 5 stars.Question why is the house and studio numbered 7801?

Tom T — Google review

I really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide Bee was fantastic! She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed seeing the studios, soundstage and lounge. My only gripe is we didn't receive our pictures. The kiosk said there may be a 24-hour delay, but over a week went by and we didn't receive anything. I filled out the Contact Us form on the website and didn't hear anything for over a week. I then emailed them from my personal email and received my pictures the next day. Besides that, I had a great experience.

Charity C — Google review

I have been Prince fan since 1984. I was so excited about this tour and it did NOT disappoint. You got to hear and see so many interesting things that made Prince who he was. I loved his office. Reece was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We did the Ultimate Tour and loved every minute. When they unlocked your phones at the end it was so much fun. His shoe collection was beautiful too. Highly recommend. We went 9/4/2023

Pam B — Google review

Absolutely stunning. There aren't many words necessary. The entry process is seamless (drive in, talk to the security at the booth, go on to the parking lot). You get to peruse the gift shop if you're early, and then you go on the tour where you get to see a lot of Prince's happy place. You also get to play ping-pong on his table in one of the recording studios. Just do it. You won't regret it.

Brodie W — Google review

I didn't go into the museum as it's a bit more pricier than I could afford but I did get to go into the gift shop. I had to advise the guard at the gate of my intentions. So, I was able to park and take a couple pictures of the exterior and looked around the gift shop which did have reasonably priced T-shirts. $25. They even carry XXXL which were $33. What I really thought was cute was the umbrella it's $30 but it changes colors when it rains. I believe from white to purple. So, if you're a Prince fan it's worth a stop.

Roberta P — Google review

Wonderful experience! Staff was welcoming, professional and were true fans of Prince. Tour guide Tommy was great. The ultimate experience went by so fast could have stayed longer. I’m glad they made everyone lock their phones for a majority of the tour. I hope to visit again in the future.

Nefertiti — Google review

Listen, let me tell you, this was incredibly amazing and breathtaking!!! I felt like he's still here giving the world a tidbit of himself and leaving much to the imagination. I love mysterious Prince. I'm a true die hard fan. The tour was well put together and the museum was an unforgettable experience. To see and feel where he spent most of his career life was a blessing. The color purple feels like an experience. I think it's a bit commercialized but hey, Prince left this world a gift. Please go experience that gift, you won't regret it. Sending purple peace to all 💜

Ms. K — Google review

Being able to park our van on site was a nice option as we arrived a couple of hours before the showing of the 40th anniversary of "Purple Rain". They don't let you set lawn stairs out, but they never bothered us for sitting in the van with the AC on.The staff were all pleasant and helpful. Pretty cool experience. If you like Prince and his music, you should go stop in here.

David T — Google review

So intense. Prince's presence is so strong. You can feel his spirit in the studios and near his mad cat guitar and his pianos. Beautiful place. Meticulous attention to detail every where. Unbelievable how much his genius comes through in every aspect of this fabulous compound. Must go if you can.

Alaine S — Google review

It was an amazing experience! We loved it all. Our guide Domino was amazing. They had great energy and so much knowledge. Highly recommend this tour for any Prince fan!

Erin K — Google review

Paisley Park is definitely in your heart. I paid for the Ultimate Experience but it was not the ultimate experience. As a life long fam, I was disappointed in that the majority of Paisley is closed to the public. Way too much time spent listening to the tour guides, barely enough time to take in the site/sights. No your book, no photos allowed except at the end. After 3 hours you're tired and dying of thirst!! The gift shop does not sell a lot, not diverse enough considering P was so prolific. I enjoyed that it was where Prince was when he was on Earth, it smells like him, the art is amazing, check out the books in his office, the short videos were nice to look at.It's overpriced, very tightly run with a lot of rules, no places to sit and absorb, too much of the tour guide talking, I felt rushed. I will not return. I will enjoy what I have in my personal collection. 😁

Sharmane I — Google review

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful experience! We flew in from NC to tour Paisley Park, and it was worth every penny and every mile!Definitely gonna go again and do the next level up tour!Thank you, Prince Estate, for keeping Prince’s spirit alive!

R W — Google review

Paisley Park is a must-visit for any Prince fan. The moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in the vibrant essence of his music and artistry. The museum is filled with memorabilia, including outfits, instruments, and personal artifacts that tell the story of his extraordinary career. The guided tours are informative and passionate, providing insights into Prince’s creative process and his life. The atmosphere is electric, filled with a sense of nostalgia and reverence for his legacy.Whether you’re exploring the studios, the soundstage, or the private collection, every corner of Paisley Park resonates with his genius. It’s a heartfelt tribute that every Prince enthusiast will appreciate. Highly recommended!

T C — Google review

I went on the paisley experience tour and it was a great tour. Just note they do take your phone and put it in a locked pouch until the last part of the tour. It was a bummer, but I get them not wanting to give away the tour in shared photos. That was one part I enjoyed more about Elvis' Graceland was being able to capture the whole experience. I would have done the longer tour if I had more time on my trip as there is more you see in the huge building with those options. Worth going if your ever in minneapolis! RIP 🙏 prince!

Darren J — Google review

One WORD: Artist. Prince was truly that in every facet of his extraordinary career. I traveled with my good friend Giraldo and we had an exclusive tour of his home/recording studios. Along with Prince’s countless awards, artifacts, photos and stories, we enjoyed a fabulous tour conducted by a fellow educator Ross. His unique insight on Prince will live forever outside the walls of Paisley Park by the countless fans carrying those tales back to their homes. Thank you Ross from your fellow educator in NYC. Keep up the great work. 👏👏👏

Daniel T — Google review

I watched Purple Rain on the big screen at Paisley Park for the 40th anniversary celebration. I felt like I was watching him in concert. The tour is amazing, up close, and personal. People complain about the gift shop selling memorabilia, but how do you think they support what they're doing here? I stood where Prince lived, breathed, created, and died. Priceless. Go. It's amazing.

Mindy T — Google review

Loved the Paisley Park two hour tour! Worth it for Prince fans. Be prepared to lock up your phones but it was worth it to be in the moment and listen to everything the tour guides had to say. There is so much love for Prince and it’s amazing to be a part of his home and workplace.

Bright A — Google review

Even if you’re not a prince fan the museum is very interesting to learn about all the things he has done. Our guide was great and very informative. I took the 1st level tour. I would love to come back and take the other levels if I ever make it back to Minneapolis.

Michelle J — Google review

Absolutely amazing! If you are a Prince fan, you must, must, must make this trip! And hopefully you have the good fortune to have Nembi as your tour host. He is awesome. Do it!!

Kevin W — Google review

Incredible tour guide and tour. Be prepared to power off your phone and lock it inside a case before you start the tour. Pictures aren’t allowed until the end of the tour. Fantastic compound that showcases the way Prince wrote, produced, recorded and inspired himself. It is definitely worth doing the 2-hour tour but I understand there are different levels of tours. The integration of media learning is awesome on the tour. The upstairs is not part of any of the tours. But still there is plenty to see and hear about. I think our tour guide’s name was David (buff, bodybuilder guy). Super knowledgeable and a huge Prince fan.

Jen M — Google review

Amazing to visit Paisley Park. We did the 120-minute VIP tour, which was fascinating. You found yourself feeling very close to the artist and Prince's creativity.Just so you know in advance, phones are placed in sealed bags a d handed back to you until the final room, as Prince had banned mobiles at the time, and that works. Plenty in the final room, and it means you can immerse yourself in the experience and listen to your tour guide without distraction. We had Domino. They were great and full of knowledge about Prince's fashion journey and the iconography. Just ask if you have questions ...My shirt for the day included in the photos ... it is 36 years old ...!A great experience.

It is the largest professional dinner theatre in the United States, offering a variety of shows from musicals and movies to stage performances while serving classic American meals. This renowned venue features musical theater, a comedy club, a pub, and more, catering to individuals, couples, and groups.

Went to see the Three Tenors on a Monday matinee. The food and service were excellent as always. And the show was beyond divine!!!I was literally blown away with their voices! I will definitely make this an annual event for sure!!!

Tami K — Google review

Our first experience at the Chanhassen was good. I think they may have forgotten to put dressing on my salad as it was dry, but the service was great. Our waitress took great care of us. The building is old and somewhat outdated, but they keep it clean which is appreciated!

Amber K — Google review

We got a last minute table of 4. Watched Jersey boys...TERRIFIC! Remember...dinner is BEFORE showtime. Back table had a limited view but the actors really move around. Brilliant singing/acting.

Beth P — Google review

I hadn't been to Chanhassen since a grade school trip decades ago. Not sure why we waited so long, but finally came up for dinner and a show last week and LOVED it. Great night out! Will be looking for another opportunity to visit before too long.

Brent R — Google review

What an amazing place! We saw Jersey Boys & it was fantastic! Matinee lunch was delicious. We were a group of 6 friends who are retired & one couple moved away from the other two. We met to be together & have a good time & boy did we. We stayed at Country Inn & Suites & had supper the night before at Brindisi & stayed the night & saw show the next day. Perfect get away! We are hoping to make this an annual thing!

Connie I — Google review

The place could use a little update. But it's charming and a fun atmosphere. My steak wasn't great but my sisters Chanhassen chicken was! Fresh rolls, don't be shy ask for more if you want more then one. The chocolate cake was perfect!Music and theater were a lot of fun. I did have a hard time hearing all the words, our booth was farthest away from the stage.

Susan R — Google review

It was a good experience. The acting was great. I felt transported to a different time period. The desserts were beautiful, and the food portions were filling.

Monisola A — Google review

Absolutely loved the night out. Always a good time and good laughs. We went to the improv show and for a good price you get a show and dinner. Can't beat it. Our service was amazing and the food was good.

D S — Google review

We came to see a tribute to Abba, great show. This performance took place at the Fireside Theater a more intimate smaller space, great acoustics. Finding a parking space on the lot can be challenging , but we always find space in the ramp. The shows are offered with dinner o just the show. We choose to get dinner elsewhere, the food at the theater can be quite good but a bit expensive. Either way a good experience. 👍 Marcelo J.

Marcelo J — Google review

What a great experience! The Jersy Boys was fantastic! The food was yummmmm. I didn't want the night to end.If you haven't been here for an event, you must put it on your bucket list!

Linda B — Google review

I'm going to review our food because I think everyone LOVES the Chanhassan DT shows. Steak was delicious and prepared perfectly to our request. The green beans tasted SPRINGtime fresh. The best on the plate was the garlic mashed potatoes! Salted Caramel Cheesecake for dessert. And, of course, an AWESOME IRISH show!

Rachel M — Google review

I had a VIP night at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres for ‘Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.’ The performance was fantastic, and the food was plentiful. The energetic staff, especially our server Cody, made the night even better. “ Excellent Service” Although parts of the main theater could use some updating, I highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for a cozy Broadway feel at reasonable prices.

Michael S — Google review

I have attended this Theatre many times over the years and enjoyed many performances in the main room with dinner, and in the concert theatre without dinner. Every performance has been top notch and well worth the price. I recently attended the “Carol King Musical” which was great! Very much recommend!I also attended a concert with the ”Fabulous Armadillos” with a MTV 80’s theme show. They were also great as usual. Their “Eagles Tribute” concert theme show is always a sell out.I have never been disappointed with any show I attended at this theatre! They also have a comedy club, but I have not attended any of those shows and cannot comment on them.

Jerry J — Google review

This was my first time here. I would definitely go back. The dinner and the show was fantastic.

Brian A — Google review

Fantastic!! The food before the show (dessert at intermission) was excellent (fresh, good temp., nicely presented). The Service was courteous, friendly and efficient. The show ("Beautiful") was wonderful! The actors radiated a love of theater, related perfectly with each other, their singing/dancing was fresh as if it was opening night, and the emotions expressed were so real it felt authentic. A memorable experience!!

Linda R — Google review

My mother and I came to see Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. It was really good. I didn't even know who she was til I saw this play. The food was good. I chose a steak. Which came with fresh veggies, salad, and warm bread. (Finished it all) For dessert, I chose the Smores Lava Cake, which wasn't my favorite, but im glad I tried it. (Didn't finish it) My mom ordered the famous Chanassen Chicken, which she loved, which also came with fresh veggies, salad, and warm bread. This is a must do for all travelers or even those seeking a date night or a group activity. All around, it was a great experience, and our server was super friendly.** This place can get very cold. Don't make the same mistake I did. Bring a sweater or light jacket. **

Legacy M — Google review

Sure, here's a draft for your Google review:---My wife and I recently attended a performance of Jersey Boys at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, and it was a fantastic experience! The performance was outstanding, showcasing incredible talent and energy. Our meal was well done, and I particularly enjoyed my old fashioned – it was perfect. We were seated with another couple whom we didn’t know, but the conversations were pleasant and added to the overall enjoyable evening. Just a heads-up: if you don't book a full table, be prepared to be seated with other guests. All in all, a wonderful evening and highly recommended!

Mark R — Google review

This was really a great family experience with my parents, sister and daughters. We attended BEAUTIFUL, the Carol King Story, and it was nostalgic. Walking into the venue I was not sure who Carol King was but once the music started I was singing along and knew every word (suddenly reminded that I do know the songs she wrote) and have since re-invested in her album... Thank you for a wonderful experience

Chelsea P — Google review

Oh my gosh this was my first ever dinner theater experience and it was WONDERFUL!!! I came with the Stanley County group to see the Carol King showing. The food was delicious and our sever, Jamal, was super cool and great to talk with! If anyone looks at these, oh my god give him a raise. He was just a peach! Anyway, the food was served so quickly and was super great quality and the atmosphere….oh my gosh…the outside looks so different from the inside! It’s so spacious and the lighting was beautiful! And the performance was amazing, it almost made me cry! I’m definitely going to come back another time with family. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience!!!

Water & Amusement Parks

Theme Parks

Valleyfair Amusement Park in Shakopee is a must-visit destination, spanning 125 acres and offering entertainment for visitors of all ages. Since its establishment in 1976, the park has expanded to feature over 75 rides, including eight roller coasters and Soak City water park.

I loved this theme park! (Especially on a week day when there were less people!)There is a great variety of rides and they have packed a lot into the area.I would come back for sure!It was tidy and a good amount of toilets and places to fill your water bottle.

Emily K — Google review

Came here for opening water park weekend. We arrived when the park opened. It was really easy to find parking as the lot was mostly empty. Getting through the season ticket line was a little slow but we managed. They opened more lines as soon as we were called up to the window. Security was a breeze and we were off to the rides. We rode Northern Lights twice before they decided to shut it down for some reason. Steel venom also kept having issues as well. Hopefully they can iron out the kinks because it won't be a very good experience when the park is full during the summer.A number of my favorite places to eat were also closed. I would assume due to the early part of the season? Everything is really expensive. It's nice that the place is cashless but plan ahead. We did the season water bottle pass. It pays for itself very quickly on hot days.Though soak city was just opening nearly all the water slides were closed... disappointing. The kids really enjoyed the splash pad and wave pool though. Mad mouse or whatever it is called could use some major efficiency upgrades. Lots of waiting around on that one.The wave, carousel, antique cars, wild thing, eagle flying ride, and a few others all went off without a hitch. We'll be back. Hopefully they can iron out the problems for next time.

Halloween themed weekends in Sept/Oct: great! 0-5min lines for rides, no heat, plus fun freebies for kids (candy trick or treating, costume contest, paint by number wall, etc). All water areas are closed for the season as well as some other rides. The fear rises are open, the majority! Definitely don't miss the ball factory in Snoopy's area right by the entrance after the monster ride. See photos. Kids can play here for hours while you parents relax a minute! Do know that everything is an extra charge however, arcade games, slime station, and of course all food/drinks.Still, fabulous fun and best way to get on rides with short waits.Tickets: get them online and search for a Groupon or other preseason deal. You shouldn't end up paying more than $30/person. And preschoolers can be free if you apply for that online ahead of time.Enjoy! There's lots of great themed entertainment and music everywhere too.

We had a great time at Valleyfair! Our family of 4 found attractions that fit our various tastes. We got there about 30 minutes before gate open to make sure we could be front of line for Wild Thing! This was a magical day for my girls 55” and 46” tall. There were fun rides for each, not to mention a few that they could both ride (Monster, Supercat, Scrambler, Wheel of Fortune). I think my older went on close to 20 rides throughout the day. The lines were short. The park was as clean as ever. From my days working summers here over 20 years ago, this place has only improved. It’s great that you still see kids walking around wearing Nirvana t-shirts! 😜

Kevin G — Google review

Fun mix of young child, family, and thrill rides. Recommend going during the week for shorter lines. They have a few win every time games, so 5$ souvenir for young kids is fun. Season pass pays for itself quickly with parking included. Under 5 season pass is free with purchase of adult pass. Food is bad and expensive. They do have good treats like ICEE and dippin dots. The food is terrible tasting and price- worth it to pack a car picnic.

Hannah — Google review

I am visiting as many of the Cedar Fair parks as possible and really enjoyed this one. The park is compact and has a nice variety of rides and the water park. Food is expensive in all the parks. The weather was very nice and the wait time for rides was very short. I would definitely return when back in this area. Was able to take public transportation to the park from downtown Minneapolis which was a plus but it did take about 70 minutes that way, but it only cost $2.50 each way.

Diane B — Google review

Rides are great. They have something for everyone. High cost for food is off-putting but, ya gotta eat. Plenty of choices for food. No cash, only cards for everything. Very clean. Lots of places to sit and rest.

Cary S — Google review

It's a smaller amusement park and if the lines aren't long can be pretty well covered in less than a day. The staff have always been very friendly. I go there with my autistic step daughter and they are very understanding. The workers patiently waited for her to get on the rid and even offered me a sensory room when they could tell that she was struggling.

Alexis G — Google review

Great amusement park! All the small improvements over the years are greatly appreciated but they are definitely overdue for a big new coaster. ValleyScare 2024 was amazing and the employees were all great to interact with.

B L — Google review

As a grown woman I still absolutely love this place. I scream and laugh like a child every visit. Sometimes there's tears 😂 Feel like the games prices are a little ridiculous but the food prices are actually pretty reasonable and they have some amazing bundle options for food and more. Spring for the gold pass, you won't be disappointed! The added bonus of the ValleyScare season is priceless!

Sara F — Google review

Good amusement park but lacking serious hard core rides. Good selection of family friendly rides. Water park looked pretty good.

Kevin F — Google review

Great Park experience! Think we timed it just right between weather and on a Monday and had almost zero lines the entire day including entrance to the park. Stuff were friendly and helpful, the park was clean and pleasant. The rides and water park was lots of fun! We loved it

Chad J — Google review

Fun, fun, fun place to take your family or your out of state family to enjoy rides! There are a lot of fun big rides, kiddie rides, and the water park rides! It has been a while since I went to valleyfair and they had added a few new rides and got rid of 1 or 2 rides. The waiting line for the rides went by pretty quick! We also rented out the 3 cabanas right next to the wave pool for a birthday party and it was totally worth it! I love how we got the cabanas and we didn't have to worry too much about carrying or strolling our things around the amusement park since we left most of our things in the cabanas. The cabanas came with free water bottles and towels (we were able to keep the towels they provided us). I wish I took pictures of the cabanas. They also have arcade games to win big or small plushies. Also plenty of parking. If you want to save money when it comes to buying food. You can pack some food and go back to your car to eat then go back into the amusement park after you're done. The food is kinda expensive. We got a bucket of cheese curds ($24.99) and the bucket was really small and it wasn't full. I was pretty disappointed about that (as it was shown in the photo). But other than that, my family and I still had a good time there.

Mai V — Google review

Came here from Chicago. My home park is six flags great america. This place is really fun and is a really enjoyable time. Doesn't get too busy even on a Saturday. Soak City is great. The drop slides are fabulous.

Colby S — Google review

Valleyfair has some very cool rides. Renegade, Steel Venom and the Wild Thing are always a good time. Soak City is also a nice bonus if you want to swim or ride a water slide. The park has a lot of staff and it’s definitely well ran. Getting around the park isn’t the easiest as the walkways are pretty limited and the park is huge, but it’s not the worst. The price for entry in the park is reasonable, especially if you plan on going more than a couple times per year. That being said the food vendor system here is an absolute racket. They charge $18 for a meal without a drink. The portion size you get for $18 is laughable. $3 worth of frozen food for that much leaves a bad taste in my mouth for sure. If the food was better or the actually gave you a decent amount of food, I would be less inclined to care. But predatory price scalping your customers is wrong.I also really wish they would add some more bigger attractions or rides here. The park hasn’t really added a notable ride since 2007, and for almost 20 years to go by without a major addition, the park definitely feels stale and neglected. As a kid growing up, Valleyfair use to feel very exciting but without any new rides and price increases it feels stale and more profit oriented than it ever has.

Nick — Google review

Spent the day at Valley Fair, and we had a blast. We used their app, which was very useful, knowing the line wait times. I purchased the all-day food and drink pass, which is worth the money! The only issue I had was stopping at the funnel cake stand, which was on the list, and they said it wasn't. Otherwise, it definitely saves money.

Jenna C — Google review

We had an amazing ValleyScare visit this past weekend! While it was CRAZY busy, there was enough to keep us moving, and the haunted maze lines weren’t too terribly long! The scare actors were absolutely fantastic and made us jump quite a few times. We also thought that the mazes/houses were more creative and immersive than we remembered them. My favorites were the Undertakers, the Boundary Waters, and the 7 Sins (although the 7 sins wasn’t really scary- just cool looking!) We are so happy ValleyScare is back!! Beware of the guests though! We experienced a lot of folks cutting in line, people scaring other guests, shoving or running into people, and just overall not cool behavior! I think this is typical for these types of events though, so it is to be expected and wasn’t that much of an issue. It would not dissuade us from coming again! People will be people, but ValleyScare does a fantastic job. There was also a lot of security and the crowd was controlled very well. We also really enjoyed the Hide and Seek show!! We caught the 11:30 showing right before park close and were super impressed. Hope to come back a second time this year!!

My three kids and I went to Valleyfair this last weekend and had a thrill! The park was clean, the attendants were friendly, lines for most rides weren't long. The only two lines that were long were the Wild Thing and Renegade, but worth the wait.

Michaela S — Google review

I have a season pass with my daughter, We love rides and the excitement at the fair. The lines can be long on the weekends, so we typically go Tuesday-Thursday to minimize wait times. The water park is refreshing on a hot day, but there are a lot of kids, be ready, and youll hopefully get a seat in the shade unless someone has saved a Lounge cgair and left to go on more rides(which I've seen happen too many times).

Emmy H — Google review

We went to Valley Scare for the first time. I had a huge amount of fun, and I will diffently do Valley Scare again. For your information only, this is not a complaint: Because our group was over 21 and no children, we entered through and express lane to the park, no waiting. But driving to Shokopeelines of cars to get into the parking lot were very long ... we were in slow traffic while on the highway for more than 30 minutes, just to get to the parking lot. There were a few families, but mostly adults enjoying Halloween. The weather was perfect for an October night. There were at least six places to eat dinner, and many pop-ups to buy adult beverages. There were huge crowds everywhere, and long lines for the rides.

Kennedi L — Google review

Hands down one of the best ways to spend a late spring/summer day! If the kids are under 36 inches, there is not much, but they do let you ride most kids rides with your small children!Guys I know it's rough right now, but please get more busses running! The wait times are getting to long!

Tundra T — Google review

$400 to wait in lines…VALLEY SCARE BEWARE! 56 minutes to get into parking lot. 50 minutes to then get into the park. Then another 38 for the first haunted house. Some of the other lines were shorter but the last haunted house was 45 minutes again so we only got to do 4 attractions. Very disappointing. We had friends from Texas that came as well and they had to get out of the parking lot line to get gas and use restroom (which there is none until you get in the park) and they didn’t end up getting in the park until 10:38pm (leaving them only 82 minutes in the park till close) 😕 in which they also had 6 people in their family and got to do 3 attractions. OH, but there was a short line to spend $65 on corn dogs so that’s good.It felt like a ponzi scheme honestly! WAAAAAY oversold tickets and the infrastructure simple cannot handle nearly that many people!I only give it 2 stars because once you get in it’s really well set up and very cool atmosphere.Suggestions for park:-instead of having every car stop and pay for parking, include it in the prepaid ticket so people can drive right in! Seems like the obvious first change.-Better system to get into the park to avoid line skipping kids preventing those waiting in back from ever getting in.-Offer refunds! If I can’t get into the park for 2.5 hours someone shouldn’t have to pay full price because of the parks ignorance and lack of planning.- more staff dedicated to check in

We had a lot of fun. Had a lot of old machines we went to 35 Cafe. Had hamburgers fries and onion rings the onion rings had so much grease in it you could have fried half dozen eggs. Overall experience was really good.

Charles H — Google review

Stayed overnight while on a roadtrip. The stay was fine, not much to rave about. Standard accommodation. However, they only had $10 minimum craps and $15 minimum blackjack. Additionally, the slots were extremely tight. No bonus, minimum payouts. Great place for entertainment, but don’t expect to win much. < 50% slot payouts. Likely won’t be back.

Laken S — Google review

Our family had some good luck here on a not so busy Saturday night! Fun machines and clean bathrooms!

Stephanie C — Google review

Our expectations were exceeded. It's on the side of the highway, but it's bigger than it looks. It's quite nice inside. Lots of slot machines with a good mix of new and old. Plenty of table game stations, though we didn't play those. We've been here a few times now when traveling north and it's a good stop for a couple hours.

Mike H — Google review

Wonderful time.Staff was excellentTrucks park at rest area.No semi-parking at casino. So don't pass up the rest area thinking there will be truck parking elsewhere. It's still very convenient, just a short walk to the front door.

JIM H — Google review

It was nice. They had a little robot guy who helped deliver food. There were a couple of mistakes with our order, but they were resolved very quickly. Our server couldn't have been nicer, and the food was prepared as ordered eventually, lol. It was very good. My friend had the chili and said it was one of the best they have had. My burger was delicious and a beautiful medium rare. I would go back.

Marko — Google review

Disappointing to see smoking allowed at table games. Makes for a less than desirable experience (and for employees too). Casino otherwise was fine. Employees were friendly, but beverage servers hard to find even on a Friday night. Hotel is convenient and clean.

Jason C — Google review

This is the first and last time I visit this casino. 1. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable. 2. Entire casino was freezing cold. 3. The Burger Joint was closed so we had to settle for Subway. 4. The slots are so tight you can actually hear them squeak. The payout on the slots is worse than ANY other casino I have been to. If and I mean IF you happen to get in the bonus you might win $4-$5 regardless of the amount you bet. I don't mind losing if my money lasts a few hours and I have some fun but when you lose all your money within an hour that's enough for me. Good riddance Diamond Joe's!

Kathy G — Google review

Our stay was very nice Paid for a 1pm checkout. Room service started knocking at 1130am and again at 1215 . $50. Pet fee gave us a room with mismatched repair carpet scratches in doors dirty hand prints... if you are going to charge for a pet give me a good room sink drain. 5 stars our last stay

JEROME S — Google review

Gaming is about on par, but taproom servers have an attitude. Take a pass on the 35 restaurant because servers will demand a dessert order halfway through your meal and get snippy if you prefer to wait until you’re done. Nice venue, but we won’t return due to this one thing. Customer service is important!

Gary K — Google review

Friendly atmosphere. Helpful staff. Parking was good. We were able to park pretty close to the front doors. I lost $ in the end.

Ginger R — Google review

Everyone is wonderful here! I live 45 minutes away but have also used it for truck parking! Win Lose you'll have a good time. I will come here again with myself and my friends.

Dawn N — Google review

This place is Awesome!! We had to check the security guards ID to make sure everything was on the up and up!! 😆🏆😆

Marty L — Google review

It's an average casino. The machines are tight, but that seems to be the average for most casinos outside of Vegas. Have stayed a couple of times over the last few years at the hotel coming back from Minneapolis. Didn't know the casino had purchased the hotel this year and accidentally booked at the neighboring hotel...which was cheaper and still let's you use their indoor pool. Sister stayed here and we compared notes, My family got the better deal....breakfast and rates. She said the rooms were still quiet and comfortable tho, same experience we've had the previous years.

Timbo A — Google review

I only stayed one night but this hotel experience was great! I’m very picky when it comes to hotels however this one met my expectations. The room was clean and it smelt good (No funky hotel smell) the front desk lady was very friendly, the breakfast was good, the bathroom was nice and they use Dove soap which is a plus for me. The only thing is the exterior does look a bit dated but the inside makes up for it. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Beannn — Google review

The bar tenders are unbelievable. I've never been treated so bad. Very rude and unattentive. I will never step foot in this place again. Raw pizza. I had to eat just the toppings. This was my rest stop for the night and was out of time to go anywhere else. I will NOT BE STOPPING HERE FOR SURE!!!!

Jeffrey H — Google review

The hotel pool is closed permanently yet wasn’t posted on the site when we booked so to drive 2 hours with grandkids thinking they will swim while grandpa gamble was disheartening to say the least. Thought pizza would save the day this burned $$$$ like we’re packing up going home. My brother makes pizza like this when he drunk! Neva again

Love G — Google review

No more $5 tables , casino got greedy. It's been years since I been here and it will be years before I go back. Does it really matter if you are going HERE you probably have a gambling program, Suggest any other casino with $5 tables ... hell even the craps table is a min of $10 because a few hundred dollars per roll isn't enough money fast enough for these greedy people.

Nature & Parks

Sprawling oak savanna & prairie area with a glacial esker offers wetland birding, camping & hiking.

Myre-Big Island State park is awesome!all the deer that come up to the camp sites is amazing! I love seeing all the nature! I would recommend this place to anyone that loves nature! The host at Myre-Big Island White Fox campground let's people burn canvas from chairs, let's people cut branches from trees so their rv will fit, make fun of people and the older camper and vehicle they have, will only talk to people who have newer campers and vehicles! I think Myre-Big Island State Park can find someone friendlier to be the host for the park!

Lady C — Google review

Scenic camping at Myre Big Island State Park! Arrived on a Saturday around 5 PM and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The restroom and water source were conveniently located nearby. The park offers numerous hiking trails with stunning lake views. Fall colors were starting to appear, adding to the scenic beauty. We enjoyed a cozy bonfire at night and stargazed under a clear sky. Saw deer and other wildlife during our hikes. The hike around the island was filled with tall trees and changing leaves. Would definitely return in the summer to experience the park's full beauty.

Asmita C — Google review

Nice park. Easy and plentiful trails. Vault toilets are very clean and smell good like coconut. Campsites are nicely worded and not too close to each other.

Russell M — Google review

Small but lovely and quiet state park, close to the cities. Stayed in the big island campground in spring and it was really nice. Plenty of spaces, not too close. Showers/restrooms weren't open but it looks like a newer, big building. Nice trails around and through the big island and also in the rest of the park. Can easily walk all the trails in a weekend stay.

Emily S — Google review

I had a wonderful time at this park! I stayed in backpack site 3. There is a mix of lakeshore, forest and prairie here. When I visited there were no garbage receptacles at the picnic area and the restrooms were closed (I think likely because it's after labor day) but the vault toilets were fine, and I did find dumpsters at the main campground. If you're doing the hiking club trail, it's a longer one compared to most of the other parks so be prepared for that. I did a few sections of it and never did find the password (it must be in one of the parts I didn't get to). The trails are mostly flat and wide. There are portions that overlap with a bike trail. The signs are adequate to get around without having to have a map in hand or on your phone. The backpacking sites are a ways from the campground but not too far. 1 and 2 are closer, but spaced out from each other, and 3, 4 and 5 are on the outer edge of the park right off the lake (I believe you can also paddle in, at least there was a portage sign in site 3). Make sure to get water before proceeding to the backpacking sites. The only downside to my site was that I could hear highway noise. I think 1+2 are farther away from the road. The bird watching in the fall is incredible. I saw or heard over 30 species of birds, including 2 kinds of owls at night. If you visit the backpack sites you'll be treated to hundreds of pelicans, ducks, geese, herons, and other waterfowl.

S. S — Google review

Great park with heavily shaded, private sites. No water hookups at most and the spigots in the loop have no threaded connectors so get your water at the dump station on the way in. This would be a good thing for the staff to tell campers as they check in. Nice trails, lots of wildlife and nearby Albert Lea is a nice town.

J W — Google review

This is our second time camping here. Great location nice trails to walk and find a shoreline to throw rock out 😊

Sarah K — Google review

So much nature . We really enjoyed the island. There beavers running through campsites. A raccoon got into my tackle bag and ate my bait. Beautiful birds. Will definitely go back there if I have the chance.

Daisy M — Google review

We went to Myre-Big Island State Park for the first time in 20 years and I forgot how amazing it was. The park is much larger than I remember with several walking, hiking, and biking trails. In the winter there is groomed snomobiling trails which is beautiful. There is tenting and camper spots in a few different areas of the park. There was some newer bathrooms built with outdoor sinks for washing. We saw a ton of wild life as we walked the trails. We loved it and would go again.

Andrew R — Google review

Kayaked into backpack campsite 1 as a trial run for a longer trip. Rangers were super friendly and knowledgeable about the site and where to launch my kayak from. Site itself was well-maintained and stocked with fire wood! The privy for that site was filled with mosquitoes and needs some maintenance, which is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Kaitlyn A — Google review

Great spot to enjoy some fairly biodiverse nature. Large variety in plants and fungi. Saw lots of squirrels, a herring, and even a beaver. When it comes to manmade changes, there are toilets, picnic tables, and a paved trail.

Evelyn T — Google review

This is a nice wooded state park within 90 minutes from the Twin Cities. They have both electric and tent campsites, and a nice selection of walking trails and bike trails. It is a good place for birding.

Linda M — Google review

It is SO buggy here. We planned to stay 3 nights but instead left after 3 minutes. Not exaggerating.First it was hard to find because the GPS took us to White Fox Campground. Luckily it was only a few minutes away. Stopped by the restroom first - it was extremely clean, as was the shower. At both White Fox and Big Island there were only a few campers. Now we know why... It's because there are SO MANY MOSQUITOES!!! 😭😭 As soon as we parked our vehicle in the campsite, we got out and then got right back into the car!If you have an enclosed RV it could be ok. Very shady. Also I wasn't sure if we were supposed to pay the park fee because I already paid for camping but there was no one at the booth to ask.

Jamie C — Google review

Got here a little before the color, but this place hasn’t disappointed us. It’s absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Lots of deer and muskrats (or marmots?)

Appreciatin' C — Google review

Very nice bike trail and campgrounds. Spent all morning looking around and riding bikes. Thinking we will likely camp there on another trip.

Stephen M — Google review

Easy park to find and maneuver around. Nice place to stop and have a lunch and walk a few trails. I take my toddlers here often… it’s a nice stop to run around. Not a lot to do. But the lake is pretty.

Michaela B — Google review

Terrific walking trails, nice campground with private sites separated by bushes and trees, quiet. Clean bathrooms and showers. Saw lots of deer.

Pam K — Google review

Very nice campground. We stayed in the big Is campground. The sites are pretty large with tons if shade. The lake has tons of bird life with lot pelicans around. Also since the average depth of the lake is only 5 ft you do not get the motor boat zooming on the lake. While the lake is fairly weedy it is so much it will effect you being able to paddle. Since Albert Lee is a few miles a way there is other things do on the days. Lots of flat wooded hiking trails along the lake. The restroom were fairly clean and the showers had hot water.

Jenifer M — Google review

Beautiful, quiet woods. Bathroom is clean, showers are hot. We stayed in big island campground with a view of the lake. Sites are large, level and wooded on big island campground. Road does have potholes and a few low hanging branches.

James S — Google review

Our stay was pretty early in the season. We stayed for 1 night, traveling in an RV. Campground is easy to get to. In great proximity to Interstate, but far enough away to feel the relief of nature. Campground is basic, clean, and quiet. Beautiful scenery and nature! There's a lot of water! Standing water on the Campground road. Marshy grass lowlands in the park. While our stay was not impacted by mosquitoes, I can imagine it's great habitat for skeets in the summer months.

Liz M — Google review

Beautiful area! We returned this year and stayed on the island. Gorgeous sunsets over the water. Plenty of Hiking and biking trails. Cleanest bathrooms!

Park

Sights & Landmarks

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a popular tourist attraction with amazing sculptures by famous artists. It's located next to the Walker Art Center and Loring Park, and is open 365 days a year.

This sculpture garden is not only pretty but fun with some of the quirky art. There are level, paved walks that lead you around to each piece of art and its description. There is a paid car park conveniently next to it. If you find yourself in town, take an hour to check it out.

Britt D — Google review

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a beautifully maintained and green oasis in the city, perfect for art and nature lovers alike. The park is incredibly well-kept, with lush lawns and landscaped paths that make strolling through the garden a peaceful experience. The sculptures are stunning, with a diverse range of artwork that’s both thought-provoking and visually impressive. One of the highlights is the iconic “Spoonbridge and Cherry” sculpture, which has become a symbol of the city. Nearby, there’s a beautiful bridge that offers picturesque views and adds to the charm of the area. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or just looking for a scenic place to relax, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a must-visit spot that brings together creativity and natural beauty in a harmonious way.

Иван В — Google review

What a unique experience in the heart of the city. From abstract sculptures to poetry, the sculpture garden offers a beautiful walking tour through a quaint city park. Great stop for short visits!

John H — Google review

Pull off to the side of the park, it is paid parking with number slots. You pay at the kiosk, $0.50 every hour! It cost us $1.00 for two hours. Took about an hour to see every piece of art. There's also a parking lot that is paid parking! I definitely recommend this park. It's free!

Rachel S — Google review

Worth a visit while in Minneapolis. I was surprised at how many sculptures were in the area and that it was completely free to visit. We paid for parking since we weren’t familiar with the area but it sounds like there is free street parking in the area as well. There is something for all ages. The iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry was our favorite! 🍒

Bri H — Google review

Yes it’s true, there is a giant Spoon and Cherry, but there is so much more.Larger than life art that encourages you to interact and discover new curiosities. This is always a stop on my personal list of attractions for visiting friends.Parking on the street along the park is 50 cents per hour. There is a public restroom that was available in September although I have no idea if that amenity is seasonal. The park itself is free.On my most recent meandering we walked about a mile and spent about 45 minutes to see the park.

Alane K — Google review

It is a garden with some modern art sculptures that is worth visiting. We brought our own ribs to enjoy in this park while enjoying the good weather. The cherry on the spoon is kinda iconic!

Louis L — Google review

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a must-visit destination. It features a diverse array of beautiful sculptures in various styles. This quiet and inviting park is perfect for sitting and relaxing or enjoying a packed lunch. One particularly enchanting section of the park has wind chimes hanging from the trees, creating beautiful music.

Juliana V — Google review

We visited the garden on a beautiful fall day. We took our time and stopped at each exhibit and read the sign explaining the artwork. It's a relaxing place to spend an hour or two.

Edward H — Google review

To be fair.. I've been to a lot of sculpture gardens so I can compare them. This one was good and has some renown pieces that are a must see. The grounds have lots of wild flowers and vegetation which is great but makes the place have an unkempt appearance like it needs to be weeded..but I digress. The cherry on the spoon by far is the highlight of the garden but take the time to walk the premises and walk over the bridge which is functional art as well. Bathroom on site.

The S — Google review

Very cool place for a stroll. If you need some fresh air, and want a stroll through the park, this is a nice addition. Restrooms are closed seasonally.

John A — Google review

Very cool place! I love the art and the park itself! love taking people there!I recently visited the Sculpture Garden in the Twin Cities and was truly impressed by the artworks and atmosphere. The diverse collection showcased a perfect blend of creativity and skill, making it a delightful experience. The well-maintained surroundings added to the overall charm, creating a wonderful escape within the city. I highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking a blend of art and nature.

Pámela B — Google review

Sculpture park was cool, loved the giant Rooster and cherry on a spoon. Park was well maintained and full with wildflowers. Just wish that everything was connected a bit more instead of having to backtrack to a different path to a different sculpture. Parking is $4 so next time I would plan to do more things in the area instead of paying the price for maybe 45 mins of walking.

Heather H — Google review

Super cool sculptures! Our favorite one was the Spoonbridge and Cherry !land the blue rooster 🐓Not sure if you can just sit anywhere around the sculptures to picnic but there is a designated seating area by the parking lot for that that also provides shade. There’s also a bridge that connects that Sculpture Garden with another stunning park and pond on the other side of the road. It’s very clean, visitors are respectful of each other

Izamar A — Google review

Stopped here really quick just to see the huge cherry on a spoon art piece. It's a fountain. Just a fun thing to see in person and a great photo opp. There are also a few other sculptures here that are fun to see. Like the big blue rooster. Parking lot nearby. It is a pay to park lot. Definitely worth a stop to check it out.

Roberta P — Google review

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a very nice place to relax and spend quality time. We love the art and the sculpture in the park. The diverse collection showcased a perfect blend of creativity and skill, making it a delightful experience.

Raghvendra G — Google review

We had a pleasant stroll around the sculpture gardens. It was mid-July, the weather was warm, the myriad native grasses and flowers were buzzing with bumble bees, and the sculptures were magnificent to see. Each one was from a different creator, and they were all larger than life. It was well worth the time spent there.

Mark G — Google review

This is a fantastic place to wander 11 acres of some iconic Minneapolisness. There’s a lot more to this place than the Spoonbridge and the Cherry and the Big Blue Rooster! If you haven’t been or it’s been a while, it’s a great place for a stroll with kids, friends, a date; tons of great photo ops. Also lots of native wildflowers and beautiful views. Best of all, it’s free!

S W — Google review

Exquisite free attraction featuring beautiful sculptures from a variety of artists and their unique styles. It is surely a different experience at night- wish it was a little better lit. There is paid street parking and the paved paths are wheelchair accessible.

Grace M — Google review

Awesome sculpture garden - we have been to a number across different states and this is one of the best. Good mix of types, liked the gardens, and nice with the back drop of the skyline and next to the museum. Plus we were treated with a gymnastics exhibition by the Swiss and Swedish teams!

N F — Google review

There is a lot of nice sculptural art works located in this park which is so contemporary and expressionist work of art. One can choose to have a picnic here viewing the cherry. It is located next to the walker musuem too.I saw a lot of dog walkers walking their dogs here. Would be great if they have a restroom and water cooler areas.I like the way it integrate an area which is part of the sculpture art work where children can play on.

Laney L — Google review

It is located right next to the art center. There are approximately 30-40 sculptures in this garden. No admission fee~ it seems like a public park. You can take a walk and enjoy nice weather if it is sunny day. I guess certain art activities event happens for kids sometimes.

Stadium

Fun & Games

The new and modern stadium of the Minnesota Twins offers an amazing fan experience with a guided tour that takes you to parts of the stadium that are rarely seen by regular visitors.

Well I'm glad I got off early because playoff games are early, like 3:30!, however I got to go experience the Twins win their first playoff game in 19 years! Its a real fan friendly ballpark with little games for your kids, and a lot of concessions. Not a bad seat in the house! Plus I love it when their closer comes out! You gotta check it out!

Christopher P — Google review

I may be biased because the Minnesota Twins are my favorite baseball team, but I absolutely love Target Field! I was so excited when they moved from the Metrodome to this gorgeous outdoor ballpark! Situated in the heart of Minneapolis, this ballpark is stunning and exceptionally laid out. There is not a bad seat as I’ve been to many games in many parts of the park and it’s been excellent every time. There is a wide array of food and drink options and the bathrooms are always clean. I can’t wait to make more memories here and hopefully watch the Twins in a World Series game soon!

Jordan A — Google review

Target Field is always a good time. We went to a Twins game last weekend and sat in section 111 (wheelchair seats). The view is great no matter where you sit but wow, these seats were amazing! Shaded under an awning with cupholders, near the restroom and homeplate view.If you're in a wheelchair, Target Field is really accessible which is awesome. The bathrooms have multiple wheelchair accessible stalls plus there are individual restrooms available. There are elevators. Food vendors (most anyways) are accessible. Wand scan at entry, elevators, ramps, knowledgeable customer service, lots of accessible seating on every level and in nearly every section. The food options are great tho it can be pricey (everything is now). We had Red Cow burgers and they shrunk in size but grew in price this year. The special was 2 burgers plus chips for 16.99. they were slider size. Despite being tiny, they were delicious. We also had mini donuts from Pepe's. Mini donuts are always good.

Sarah — Google review

A really cool ballpark to visit. Would recommend visiting in the warmer months (not April). It's still basically winter, and you will be cold. Some good food and no bad seats in the house make for a great day!

Garrett T — Google review

Target Field Station in Minneapolis is impressive! The integration of transit options makes getting around the city a breeze. The design is modern and clean, with clear signage and well-maintained facilities. It's a perfect hub for accessing the light rail, buses, and even biking routes. The station's proximity to Target Field adds convenience for game days. Overall, it's a great example of efficient and user-friendly urban transit infrastructure. Highly recommended!

Muhammad P — Google review

Loved Target Field!! We had great seats and there was a concert after the game. Book one of the hotels that are part of the Skywalk, such as the Hampton Inn, and have access to 10 miles of restaurants, shopping and many other conveniences 2 stories off the street.

Darcy P — Google review

A very fan-friendly experience awaits you at Target Field. I’ve sat in many different sections, and there are great sight lines everywhere. The concourses are wide, offer a great variety of food and beverage options, and are always open to the field, so you never feel too separated from the action. (Very little protection from the elements, so come dressed appropriately for the weather.) There are other diversions as well, including a miniature golf course for the kids. The food is all dreadfully expensive, of course. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the restroom situation which feels inadequate and are not fully handicap accessible. (I had to hold the door open for a gent in a wheelchair today.) it’s well staffed, and the employees are generally friendly and helpful. Overall, still a five star experience and a great place to see a baseball game.

Mzee75 — Google review

I've been out to Target Field numerous times over the last few years for multiple Twins games, and I absolutely love it!! Heading out to the ballpark is one of my favorite things to do on a summer day/night, and the experience is always fantastic. Target Field is a gorgeous venue with fantastic skyline views and an awesome backdrop. The food is great and the atmosphere can't be beat. I would highly recommend a trip to Target Field to anyone, baseball fan, or not.. you will absolutely enjoy yourself!

This was a great venue to see a concert! Entry is very strict so be careful with what you bring in. Anything with metal in your bag will need to be removed and then you have to go back through again, just be prepared. It's $10 for a hot dog but that seems to be pretty average anymore. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful.

Target Field is a treasure! The facilities are always clean, everything works, the drinks are solid, the food is always great... some vendors have more flavors than others.Staff are easy to find and readily available. They're knowledgeable, articulate, and helpful. You can go see a ball game for a few bucks, get a dollar hot dog (on the right day), and enjoy outdoor baseball without breaking the bank.If you're interested in a few games a year, check out their Flex Pack ticket plans.

First time here. Parking was easy. Electricity of the crowd was exciting. I was surprised how easy it was to get in and out of parking given the size and being downtown Minneapolis. The Minneapolis skyline visible from inside the stadium is beautiful.

Our family and friends really enjoy the new Twins Stadium! We've gone once a year for the last 10+ years and we bring different friends each year. The stadium is beautiful, easy to navigate and plenty of food/ drink options. I really like how they're always switching up the kid activity area. We just enjoyed the Joe Maurer Hall of Fame game a couple weeks ago and we're excited to see his statue next year.

First time here. Not a bad view and the concession areas are easy to navigate. I was lucky to find $20 parking , but the food is pricey . Overall... A good baseball experience this evening in downtown Minneapolis.

Twins Opening game. Big and beautiful. No smoking inside and no re-entry if you leave. Lots of seating. Food/ Drinks and souvenirs are over priced but that's what you should expect. Parking is not ideal, many parking ramps out there and decent walk to the field.I recommend if your not the type of person that needs to get up a lot, to buy seat ticket on the end of the seats where there isn't an entrance so you don't have to get up all the time for people going in and out. There is decent variety of food and drinks. I recommend getting the free refillable pop drinks if you feel you will get many drinks it's worth it since drinks are pricey.

Saw Foo Fighters concert here. Great venue for music. The stage light show was phenomenal. Large video screens on both sides of the stage made it easy to see the stage performance. The sound was great for outdoor event. Bathrooms got busy at times, but there are enough of them that lines die down. Sound was really good and clear enough at the loud volumes to enjoy.

I took my 8 year old daughter to a midday Twins game at Target Field. This was her very first professional event of any kind and she had a blast. The field is easy to find and we had plenty of parking close to the stadium. Parking was $20 so about what I expected but it was super close - walked thru a breezeway, on the street for a quick walk and we were inside the stadium within a few minutes. The stadium was incredibly clean and there were lots of workers to help with ticketing and finding our seats - lots of nice older retiree types. Target Field has lots and lots of food options and everything was very good and the prices were fantastic for a sports venue. There was a food option every 20 feet so lines were never too long. Also have plenty of restrooms which also kept the lines down. We sat in the outfield and it was a terrific place to watch the game. Definitely an A+ experience and my daughter had an amazing experience for her first MLB game! They also had a beanie giveaway for kids - very high quality and best giveaway I’ve seen!

In town for the Brewers and Twins game. I love this ball park, even if it doesn't have a roof. It feels so much part of the neighborhood. There is not a big distinction between being in or out.Lots of open spaces for groups. The food and beverage selections are varied and plentiful. Lots of helpful staff to get you where you need to go.And the Brewers won!

Scott W — Google review

Ballpark #11 on the season and what a park is was! The Wind Veil was a cool art piece to get lost in for a few minutes and there was plenty of walkway space. Prices for concessions weren't terrible but the food on the club level was a bit underwhelming. You should make a stop and check out a game. If you're going solo snag up your seat the day of, 3 rows behind the Twins dugout cost me $42.

Philip G — Google review

I'll always love this place, it's beautiful. BUT, the price of drinks and food is insane. For two drinks, a seltzer and a beer, it was $34! Never again. I'll continue bringing my own water and just avoid drinking at the game, that's just insane mark-up. Especially when I can go to Cowboy Jack's around the corner and pay $14-$16 for two drinks. Come on, Target Field, as if you don't make enough money on ticket sales, merch sales, etc.

Jeana M — Google review

Great stadium. Easy to walk too from train or downtown. Lots of bars close for food or snacks. Oddly for a downtown arena they have lots of parking it seems. But also park and rode on available. Once inside it great. Sun in right fiend in the afternoons. Upper deck is covered and lots of shady areas. Easy to walk around and find a drink.

Good fun at the ball game. There was a bit of a rain delay. I decided to get a bite to eat. Highly recommend Senor Smokes Nachos. Quite possibly the best ball park Nachos I've ever had.I was also impressed with the vendors that gave me a clear plastic cup with ice and water for FREE!!!I had a great seat that I scored off of the Gametime app. Sitting the 5th row was a wonderful experience.

I've been to all of the big league ballparks, and this is one of my favorites, a terrific combination of fan amenities, spacing, seat location, enthusiasm, and staffing. Loved the kindness and awareness of their day-of-game staff. Great music! Scoreboards are tremendous, and I love the use of modern stats. Lots of good food options, and a 360-degree walk-around. Excellent popcorn. It's built on the smallest footprint of any big league park, and they got it right. I love how they honor a veteran by allowing them to raise the Flag for the anthem. Keep playing "Mr. Brightside!"

The Minneapolis Institute of Art is an expansive and impressive art museum that covers 5,000 years of world history in its vast collection. Spanning a wide range of styles and disciplines, the MIA is home to some of the most iconic pieces in American and international art. With exhibitions constantly rotating and a vast traveling collection, the MIA is a must-see for anyone interested in fine arts.

I have always loved the MIA since I was a small child. It's a place for all-ages. It has new galleries pretty frequently. There is a nice sensory-friendly area on the first floor for young children and families. It's a bit more quiet and less brightly lit. There are plenty of seats, bathrooms, and fun things to touch and / or play with; i.e., a chessboard, books, and the wall is textured. My favorite part of the whole trip was visiting the area of photographs entitled: The last safe abortion. The importance of Roe V Wade is highlighted in this piece, which recognizes and honors abortion work in this large photographic body of work from the Midwest. The visual storytelling of this piece shows people answering phones, holding training sessions, scheduling appointments, and handling logistics.Another fun exhibit is The Staff Art Show. I enjoyed the diverse variety of artwork in its different forms in this area. From everything to a mirror, to zines, and objects that the artist's children have discarded, there is something for everyone. The newest exhibit is In Our Hands Native Photography 1890 to now. The exhibit is visually attractive, and worth exploring. It was a bit crowded, because it's newer, but it was enjoyable.

This place is an absolute necessity to visit in Minneapolis. The place is massive. The first floor has a huge lobby area that's super aesthetic and artsy. It has a coffee bistro you can relax and talk to friend over. The admission is always free for the common folk, but we are encouraged to donate. The best assortment of art I've ever lain my eyes on. It has a section for every kind of artist and interest. As far as my unique experience, I ran into the visitor relations worker, and she literally gave me personalized recommendations for my tastes, since I haven't been here before.I appreciate that the pieces have descriptions and background that allow you to appreciate the art more deeply with understanding of context.Everything from sculptures, pottery, gigantic 15 by 15 feet grand paintings, a lifelike assortment of statues, and a beautiful set of nudes as well that reflect the different beauty standards of the time periods. The GIFTSHOP! It has such a beautiful assortment of postcards which are PRINTS OF THE VERY WORK IN THE INSTITUTE. I felt so cool holding these cards while looking at the gigantic 40 sq foot original painting in front of me. And they were very inexpensive: 5 for $3. I bought 15 obviously. There was a penny press as well, which costs 51 cents if you include the sacrificial penny. Provided are 4 design options for the aforementioned penny to be stamped into.

Amazing experience, a large museum with a amazing array of art! There’s something for everyone, but art lovers will especially enjoy it. Another plus is that it’s completely free, only fee you might have to pay is for parking.

Having recently visited the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA), I can say it truly exceeded my expectations. The museum offers a stunning collection that covers a vast range of artistic periods and cultures. Walking through its halls, I found myself captivated by everything from ancient artifacts to modern, thought-provoking installations. One of the standout features of MIA is how well-curated each exhibit is. Whether you're viewing classic works by the likes of Van Gogh and Monet or discovering lesser-known gems from different cultures, everything is displayed with care and offers deeper insight into the history and significance of each piece. The museum’s layout allows you to explore at your own pace without feeling rushed or overwhelmed, which made my experience that much more enjoyable.I was especially impressed by the global diversity of the collection. The African and Asian art exhibits were beautifully curated, offering a unique glimpse into cultures and traditions that aren’t always as well-represented in other museums. The Native American art collection was another highlight, providing a powerful connection to the history of the region. What I loved most was how accessible the museum is—it’s free to enter, which is such a gift. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and there’s plenty of seating throughout the galleries, so you can really take your time to reflect on the art.Overall, my visit to MIA was both enriching and enjoyable. It’s a place where art lovers and casual visitors alike can find something to appreciate. If you're in Minneapolis, I highly recommend setting aside a few hours to explore this incredible museum.

Seemingly a very large art museum with several floors to get through. I felt a bit like a mouse in a maze as I had to double back and forth several times to make sure I got through as much of the exhibits as I could given the layout. Lots to see from China and Asia to African artifacts with some old world European painters as well. The first floor of the museum was bustling aa people were sitting out in the atrium areas . Free entry and definitely worth the visit while in Minneapolis.

Put your walking shoes on because this place is huge. It displays art I've not seen before. There's a lot of contemporary stuff. And I really liked the period rooms (rooms that represent a moment in time) so you can get a sense for what life was like in the 1800 or 1930s. There was just too much stuff to see and we tired ourselves out after 2 hrs of wandering the place. And it's FREE!There was also a group of Tibetan monks filling the mandala with colorful sands. It was really interesting to watch how patient they are.Definitely worth a visit but reserve at least 4 hrs and a cup of coffee to do this place justice.

Seriously. Wow. One of the best museums I have ever been to and it being free is the cherryon top. Of course there are paid special exhibits but the free general admission is totally worth it. Check out the happy hour, check for events, hang out outside !

Such a great collection! What a welcoming place for tourists, the community and world. Experiencing the building's architecture is worth a visit alone. Admission to the general museum is always free! How fortunate we are to have not only these works to enjoy, but that they're incorporated into the preservation of historic architecture. It's so accessible and easily located.

Always free! Lots here, even for me who doesn't really like art. They have kids scavenger hunt sheets geared for three different age groups which kept my kid interested just long enough to get in a few exhibits.

It’s a beautiful museum and has a lot of things to see. It took me about 4 hours to see everything and the best part - entry is absolutely free!Amazing architecture inside the MIA as well. Definitely recommend going. One of the best places to see in Minneapolis.

MIA is such an amazing museum. There is SO much to look at. My favorite artist is Georgia O’Keeffe and one thing on my tiny bucket list was to see a real Georgia O’Keeffe painting in person, and I discovered from their website that they had 1 on display. Well, they, in fact, have 3!!! I was so excited. I think they may have 4, but my son took me, and we found 3 on the 3rd floor. There is SO much to see, and it took us like 2 hours to just look around the 3rd floor, so we determined that we would do 1 floor at a time in order to see everything on each floor and take it all in. There is on street parking or there is a little pay parking lot across the street which is what we did. It is free admission to look at the general displays. If there is a special exhibit, then there would be an admission cost.

This large, three-story museum features an expansive collection of paintings, drawings and sculptures from many cultures around the world, along with a few rotating exhibits. It is a good, free way to spend a few hours of down time. You may have to pay for parking, depending on where you park.

Sadly, I didn’t have long to visit and only managed to see the 3rd floor. Super jealous I don’t live in Minneapolis so that I can visit here more frequently. Stunning museum. Definitely on my radar to visit again on my next trip!

This is probably the best art museums in the region, and it's entirely free! To leisurely view each floor you'll need at least 3 hours. Chances are you'll get distracted by quite a bit as you browse. The first floor has a café with some basic food options. There's also a gift shop. Parking is available on the street right in front of the museum if you're lucky. Ask the front desk about their favorite pieces to get a free self guided tour listing.

The Minnesota Institute of Art is an absolute gem, especially for those with an appreciation for diverse collections. Visiting the Minneapolis Institute of Art today was an incredible experience. The diverse range of exhibits showcased stunning pieces from different cultures and eras, making each section a new adventure. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful curation and the engaging way the artworks were presented. The museum's atmosphere was both welcoming and inspiring, encouraging deeper appreciation and reflection. Overall was a great day with my friends

You need 2.5 hours to walk the multiple floors. This museum is deceiving from the outside of how far these rooms go back and how many galleries there are. I liked the furniture prairie and more modern art, but also all the French art they have. Two Georgia O'Keefe paintings I have never seen was a nice surprise.

The Mill City Museum is a fascinating history museum located in the ruins of an old flour mill on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis. It tells the story of Minneapolis from its beginnings as a small settlement on the banks of the river to its present status as one of America's most thriving and culturally vibrant cities. The museum contains a wide range of exhibits on its industrious past, including artifacts and artworks from that era.

This is a wonderful museum that allows you an opportunity to look into the past of the mighty milling industry that once was of Minneapolis. If you are strapped for time, it is easy to get through everything in a couple of hours or you can take your time. The highlight of the tour is definitely the Flour Tower and the top observation deck.

Andy N — Google review

Very neat little museum. Really enjoyed the flour tower, observation deck and the 19 minute video about Minneapolis. Super interesting and kills an hour or two on this side of the river.

Kara P — Google review

Exceptional museum. It was such a nice surprise to have the elevator ride / tour and the view from the top. The guides were eager to provide interesting facts and tidbits while you stroll the exhibit. We even had free snacks at the test kitchen. A must visit when staying in Minneapolis.

I've always loved this place! I started bringing my daughter when she was 3 years old, now she's 19 and still had fun. I'm allegedly an adult, but I still had fun playing in the water tables. Definitely recommend it. The views from the observation deck are with the price of admission, make it a day trip across the bridge and take time to check out the ruins.

Mindy O — Google review

I had such a great time at this museum! The elevator tower experience was so cool and informative! It was fun to see all the trinkets in display cases and the vintage ads on tv too. The views from the top floor are incredible. There are also a ton of interactive puzzles and labs to play with. Highly recommend visiting this historical landmark if you’re in the Twin Cities!

This is a must visit museum if you are visiting from out of town. It walks you through the overall history of Minneapolis, why it was essential to be built next to to St Anthony falls, and how the city grew and faded with the Mississippi River. The museum is so well put together bringing both milling and water harnessing to the core, intermixed with history and the development of the city. You'll absolutely love the Flour Tower exhibit. Won't spoil it for you.If you have kids, highly recommend spending a solid 2 hours or more at this brilliant museum. Also given its strategic location next to the river, it is awesome to combo it with the river-side walk.

Wook C — Google review

Neat experience of what was once Minneapolis’ main industry! The elevator tour is very interesting, and the ticket price is reasonable.Only issue was the political apology made on the signs as well as by the tour guide emphasizing the “stolen land” that the mill was built on.*****Also, note, if you park in the garage across the street from the mill, take your ticket with you. You need it to get back into the garage. There are no signs saying this, and we got locked out.*******

A lovely way to spend an hour or two exploring the remnants of what made Minneapolis a city today. The museum experience is well curated and designed. The roof top observation deck offers a great view of the St Anthony's Falls and across the riverbank.Staffs are friendly and approachable.

This place used to be a flour mill, reflecting the state’s rich wheat production. Although a devastating fire once burned the mill to the ground, much of the company’s history and culture has been preserved. An elevator-style tour takes you through the company’s legacy, and when you reach the top, the view of the Mississippi River is absolutely breathtaking! 🤩

GSTonyTseng — Google review

We thought it would be a quick visit. No, it was well thought out. A 20 minute film on the history of the Mills and Minneapolis. Then the Flour Tower, inspired. I am not going to give away secrets 😁. The whole experience of the Mill City Museum was awesome. It is a must to see. Views of the Mississippi from the observation deck were breathtaking.

Finally, after wanting to visit this marvelous museum ever since its founding; finally my dream came true, as I visited for a morning of magic, I invoked Grandpa's name quite often. He was a manufacturer and supplier to Pillsbury and others of small hammermills. Gruendler Crusher and Pulverizer company, Saint Louis, MO USA was the firm founded on the Mississippi waterfront in 1885 by my great grandfather. I fondly recall making parts deliveries to the huge Pillsbury plant in North Saint Louis. Hope to return some day soon!

The Mill City Museum in Minneapolis is one of a kind. The exhibition is very interesting and kept us engaged for two good hours. We took part in some interactive activities—the movie, the tower ride, and the water experiments. It was fun for me and my son. We loved the views and how everything was presented. The space was very clean, and the staff was friendly. The tower ride was the highlight for us. The views were unbelievable and a must-see in Minneapolis. We also walked around outside and highly recommend visiting! The prices were high but reasonable for a museum with a good service like this. Thumbs up!

I recently visited Mill City Museum and was amazed by its rich history and unique setting. The museum, built within the ruins of the Washburn A Mill, offers a captivating glimpse into the revolutionary milling processes that shaped Minneapolis into the flour milling capital of the world in the late 19th century. The museum showcases the technological advancements of the Washburn-Crosby Co., later General Mills, and how it brought fine wheat flour to the masses. Walking through the National Historic Landmark, I could feel the significance of this site and its impact on the local community. The Minnesota Historical Society has done a fantastic job preserving and presenting this important piece of history. A must-visit for history buffs and anyone interested in Minneapolis' industrial heritage. The interactive Flour Tower was amazing, including a ride to the top of the mill and being able to see much of the Mississippi River!

I moved to Minneapolis from Boston 2 months ago. Having lived in New England the last two years, Minneapolis and the Midwest is a big change for me. Tbh, I didn’t like it at all. But the visit to this museum completely changed my opinion, especially after a conversation with Fred (one among the many amazing docents). The entire museum is a quick cover (2-3 hours), but extremely informative on the birth, history, people of Minnesota (mostly Minneapolis) in a humorous, fun, and empathetic manner. Extremely worth it!Don’t miss: Elevator ride, water bar, the 20 minute movie.Fun fact from Fred: New Lowell was one of the city names considered before Minneapolis was chosen, to acknowledge the help of the textile industry of Lowell, Massachusetts in setting up the water channels in the Mississippi for generating power to run the mills.

Interesting tour about the history and products related to the milling & flour business. Innovative elevator use to tell the story and displays of iconic food brands. Also enjoyed the views from the observation deck on the 9th floor.

What an interesting museum! Adult tickets costs $15 and children tickets costs $8. I’d say the ticket price is reasonable and worth the unique experience you’ll get inside the museum 🎞️ 💫 There are a lot of interactive stations all around the museum, perfect if you are planning to bring your child with you 🪄 The ruins of the old mill looked antiquely beautiful. You are able to see the Mississipi River from the top observation balcony and take a picture with the famous “Gold Medal Flour” sign 🏭⭐️ Loved the short movie and the Flour Tower. I highly recommend visiting!

This was a FASCINATING and extraordinary museum! I kept wanting to know more about how the machines worked, feel what the working conditions were like, etc. This was a “quick” museum (3 hours max) with lots for kids. The views of the mill, stone arch bridge, city… breathtaking! Definitely a must see. Also the eatery inside was outstanding. A few exhibits were too elaborate to be educational, like the giant water table “for kids” of all ages. Some smaller more hands-on all-ages things to see, taste, touch, and smell would have been great. Bins where you could touch and feel the grains run through your fingers, sample what they tasted like, etc. lots of great information to read on the plaques that I hope can be brought to other input experiences, too. I think this museum will improve greatly over time. Please visit and support them today! Note: I visited on a weekday, but between Christmas and New Year’s Day. There was a lot of space, but I can’t guess what a “typical” day would have been like in terms of crowd levels.

Shopping

The Mall of America is a huge shopping center with many stores including restaurants and an amusement park. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States.

I used to live in Minnesota as a child and I love coming to this mall on the weekends. It's a 30min drive from my city, Minneapolis. It's one of the biggest mall in the U.S. hence the name. It has endless stores and it also has rides like an amusement park. If you ever in the area, you have to check out this mall.

Ann L — Google review

Mall of America has always been on the bucket list for a long time and finally it's been checked off.I love the idea of Theme Park in the middle of the mall and shops designed around.Approximately 500 retail shops.2.8 million square ft of retail space5 miles of walking areaWe ended up walking approximately 8 miles and 19,000 steps inside the mall from 10am till 9pm in a single day exploring only. You need at least 2 days, one to explore and another to shop conservatively.Highly recommended

Rockstar P — Google review

Amazing facility! Although I'm not a shopper and generally don't get excited about mall's, Mall of America offers an unique, fun experience for everyone (even if not shopping!) Mall of America is huge, it's probably three or four times larger than the normal mall. Within the confines of the mall, you can find just about every type of retail store and restaurant imaginable. There is also the obligatory food court available for quicker food service. There are numerous attractions within the mall, including my favorite attribute; full size amusement park with many great rides! Of course, since all of the amusement park, attractions and rides are indoor, no need to worry about inclement weather! If you want to experience the entire Mall of America and the amusement park and numerous attractions, plan on spending, at least, a few days here. For avid shoppers, it will take several days to visit and investigate all the retail stores. Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to visit the Mall of America many times since it's opening. Each visit I continue to be amazed with size and scope of the facility. In addition, every visit I have found the mall to be immaculate, organized and well maintained. Although there have been a few safety issues and incidents here (unfortunately common everywhere in the USA), I have never felt unsafe at Mall of America. During my visits I have noticed an appropriate level of security staffing and presence throughout the mall. Again, if you've not experienced the Mall of America, I highly recommend you do so! Whether an avid shopper, people watcher, amusement park enthusiasts or enjoy walking in a mall environment, you will truly enjoy the experience and facilities here! Have fun!!!

2024 OctoberThe mall offers ample complimentary parking spaces conveniently located around its perimeter. In addition to the hundreds of stores within the mall, there are numerous activities and attractions to enjoy.Although we only had time to visit a few stores, the children spent the majority of their time at Nickelodeon Universe, an indoor amusement park that offers a variety of rides suitable for children of all ages. The cost per person for rides ranges from approximately 3 to 6 credits. For 18 credits, we paid approximately $23. Alternatively, all-day wristbands can be purchased for $53 per person, providing unlimited access to rides for the entire day. Please refer to the attached photographs for pricing details. The restrooms were well-maintained and clean. We hope you have an enjoyable visit. 😊

I recently spent a day at the Mall of America, and it was an excellent experience! The mall’s vast selection of stores and brands made it a one-stop shopping paradise. From high-end retailers like Gucci and Louis Vuitton to popular chains like Apple and Nike, there's something for everyone. I was particularly impressed by the variety of dining options, which ranged from quick bites to sit-down restaurants, catering to all tastes and budgets. The mall itself is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. The staff at various stores were friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall shopping experience. Additionally, the entertainment options, including the indoor amusement park and SEA LIFE aquarium, added a fun twist to the day. Whether you’re looking to shop, dine, or just enjoy some leisure time, Mall of America delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend.

This is the coolest mall I’ve ever seen! Bring your family here, go on the rides, visit sea life aquarium, eat & shop! The rides are based on points. Little kids rides are 3 points, the roller coaster rides are 6 points. As of July, 2024 it was $35 for 30 points. I will be bringing my family here soon!!!

This was on our bucket lists for a long time. Great place for family and friends. Shop, play and eat. You can easily get 10K steps 😁. We were pleased with verity of kids activities and food options. I loved the architecture inside. Very very specious.

The Mall of America offers a unique experience with its massive indoor amusement park, Nickelodeon Universe. As soon as you walk in, the sight of roller coasters winding between shops is thrilling. The park's variety of rides, from adrenaline-pumping thrills to kid-friendly attractions, adds a dynamic layer to your shopping trip. The indoor setting allows for fun no matter the weather, which is a huge bonus. It's surreal to be able to shop, grab a bite, and hop on a coaster all in the same place. The amusement park alone makes visiting Mall of America totally worth it!

You can spend days in this mall and still find something new to enjoy. It feels like they almost literally have it all. There's an amusement park in the middle featuring thrill rides and roller coasters. There's mirror mazes and a aquarium. There's three floors of shops. There's a basketball court and movie theater. Parking is free and endless, but do arrive early to beat the crowds.

Michael B — Google review

I had the chance to experience the largest mall in America. I must say that it's pretty big and plenty of activities to do. It's a great way to spend 1 or 2 days, just goofing off or shopping. Plenty of good food, and places to give your money away. It was worth the experience.

Visited this mall while staying in nearby Minneapolis. Before you go, be sure to put on your walking shoes as this place is huge. There are 3-4 floors, depending on where you are in the mall. There are many shops and restaurants throughout the mall. Many of the stores appear multiple times in the mall on different floors, which I am sure is strategic to save some shoppers from the foot traffic they would incur otherwise. In addition to the shops and restaurants, the mall provides other attractions as well. There is a theme park centrally located in the mall, there is an aquarium, The Fair on 4, a theater, The Crayola Experience, and escape rooms. There are an abundance of restaurants and food stores located throughout the mall, some being national chains and others being local. They all provide a good mix and variety of food choices. There was plenty of parking available and we had no trouble finding a spot. There was a bit of a walk to the mall but it was not bad. It is located just off of Interstate 494 so it is easy to access. During my trip, it was not too crowded and overall traffic was not bad but I am sure this changes during peak seasons.Overall it was a great experience. Yes, it is just a mall but it offers a lot of things that most malls elsewhere simply do not and I would recommend at least visiting if you are in the area.

A great day, a family event and a must see if you’re in Minnesota,, put it on your bucket list ,, because I’m gonna give this a five star rating because this is a mall like you won’t see any other place. It has every restaurant in it that people would enjoy. It’s got every store in it that it’s got something for everyone, this is truly the mall of America. We had a very enjoyable time. Set aside a lot of time so you can go there visit there see the events and the fun activities there and have something great to eat. A five star rating for sure from product and food reviews. This Mall is amazing. So many stores, the theme Park, plenty of restaurants and places to get snacks. It is kept clean and well organized. You will need at least one or two full days to explore the entire mall, including the aquarium, the climbing area, the stores, the rides, etc.

Rei O — Google review

Wow!! Never saw anything like this before. Over 500 stores, mini golf, Lego area, amusement park and so many other things to do. 4 stories with hotels attached to it with walk ways right into the mall. Three different levels to walk from parking garage to mall. Parking garage was huge and there are red and green lights above parking spots to let you know where there is an open spot. Level 3 of the mall had a long hallway of eating options and a food court that over looks the amusement park.

Darcy P — Google review

Oh my Lord! The Mall of America is everything they said it was and more!!!Just walking through and seeing all of the stores is an experience. And the visual of a literal amusement park in the middle of the mall is breathtaking. You have to see it to fully appreciate it.We spent six total hours in the mall and never made it to the fourth floor! I absolutely cannot wait to return!

Clif M — Google review

This place is unbelievable!!!Everything and anything can be had from this enormous mall. From specialty shops to department store. From standard food court fare to themed and more intimate setting restaurants. Each level is approx. a one mile trek. I totally suggest using their map. It is very easy to get turned around or lost is you are new to this place. A massive theme park takes up the entire center of the mall ascending through three levels. You really need 2+ days to cover this place for just shopping and eating.

G.M. — Google review

It is very big, has a lot of stores, a mini theme park, and many restaurants. A lot of the stores repeate on every floor or have two locations, making them easy to find. Service was very fast, but some people seemed very unenthusiastic to do their jobs, but who would these days for bad pay, right? Nothing against them, I understand that not every day is a spectacular spark filled day. It is just a mall in the end, though, and I wouldn't go more than a couple of times if I lived close enough. Free parking is great! Everything is expensive as usual for a mall, of course, no shock there. I hate how expensive the attractions are for how lackluster they are.

Jello F — Google review

Coming from California it was nice to see all the businesses open and busy. The theme park was amazing. If my son was young again, he would have loved it even more. As it was I am 73 and he is 41 and we still rode on a rollercoaster. Great fun!

Bob M — Google review

Well this is a fun place!Lots of shops and plenty of eating places. The middle section is where all the fun action happens...roller-coasters, wall climbing etc. Very fun!!!Nice that there are water fountains around to keep hydrated!Parking is free, so that's a winner!Enjoy your explore!

Emily K — Google review

Great place for shopping and fun activities for all ages! Besides the indoor amusement park, aquarium, and multiple places to eat...the Museum of Illusion was very cool to experience! Staff was wonderful and the whole place is very interactive and overall a fun time. Would absolutely recommend going to this mall at least once in your life just to experience a little bit of everything.

Kaylee L — Google review

Meh! Fun to say you've been here but if I lived in this city, I would never choose this mall unless I wanted to go to the theme park. There is nothing spectacular about the mall apart from its size but even that wasn't what I expected. I thought it would be more sprawling but it is built up 4 stories. Parking was ample but also difficult as there are so name parking garages and they were surprisingly full. We had to drive around a lot to find a spot. Then you have to remember where! And the food court was nightmarishly busy. Not fun. We generally like to split up at a food court going to multiple places and then eat together. Not here. It was too crazy and hard to find a seat.So I'm happy to have gone here, but it wasn't as much of a wow as I expected. The theme park looked super fun but we just walked through.

Tara M — Google review

What a great mall and fun time for all. Whether a solo adult or a family with a flock of children this place has it all. Good mall with great stores. Fun amusement park with great rides. Many other fun activities that even the little bunny outside the entry found entertainingly curious. Locals have a great place to enjoy and this is worthy for a trip as a tourist as well.

Joseph ( — Google review

Very large with popular stores for shopping. There are multiple floors. Few of the shops are repeated on each floor but it's understandable because of the mall size. There are rides like an amusement park and an aquarium but ran out of time for those because of shopping 🛍 would love to visit again

This place is huge!!!! Whatever place you can think of or whatever u need you will find it here. All the food places and also the environment and places that can keep you entertained! I'd definitely go back. Make sure to wear some comfortable shoes because you'll definitely get a work out in!

Parks

The Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis's most-visited park is a beautiful 53-foot waterfall that tumbles over rocks and logs. The falls was previously known as Brown's Falls and it was immortalized by the 1855 poem The Song of Hiawatha by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Went on a Saturday morning about 10am and the place was already packed. Had to park a little further down the street but it was worth the walk to the falls. Quite a majestic little fall. The unique part of the falls is how close you are to it. It still boggles the mind how easy someone could jump in the fast moving stream and end up being swept over the falls. yolo i guess.

Keng L — Google review

Beautiful park with lots to see, especially the waterfalls. You will find many amenities at the area, like a restaurant and craft beers, as well as public restrooms and water fill stations. If you are going to see the falls, be prepared for a little hike down, but it will be definitely worth it.Getting here with a public transport was a bit of a chore, but nothing too complicated if you have some time to spare.

Sam R — Google review

Very beautiful and easy walk, accessible via tram which is exciting, and if you walk down past the waterfall there’s a place where you can easily go into the water and it’s very fast moving and cold and while I was in there a CHEEZIT floated past me which made me smile and laugh. There’s a poster with a wild story about LBJ that I won’t share here because you need to see it for your self

Liz L — Google review

Such a beautiful place! My first time here and it was a lovely park and walk. Much of the trail is shaded. Easy hike, not strenuous. We had a great time!

Paige N — Google review

The falls are really beautiful and if you’re looking to get a great workout this is definitely a good spot. Beyond hiking by foot I like that they had bike and scooter rentals. The only thing I didn’t like is you couldn’t really get close to the waterfall, the trail was gated off.

Mingo M — Google review

It was a great time at the waterfall, very good weather and wonderful scenery. It's not the prettiest waterfall, but wow. Was the water flowing! There was a rental bike shop that was fun, just be careful because kids will easily fall through the bicycle. We had a good time, and I would recommend it to anyone!

Kalan S — Google review

Love the family and pet friendly park. Lots of places to sit and take a break. Some steep stairs and the trails are muddy but worth walking and seeing a bit of history. Great place to enjoy a picnic with family. The Falls was very nice. Street parking and other parking are all pay at meter. The place was surprisingly clean. Come visit and enjoy the outdoors and trails.

Sylvia S — Google review

Great for a weekend mellow hike and views. You can carry you own picnic food, go fishing, dip your toes in the river or buy sea food at the restaurant called Sea Salt which is near the falls. A few artists may perform in the park and there is great energy bustling through the people that gather there.

Chandni K — Google review

Went right after a freak storm blew through so the paths were full of water in some areas. Falls were very forceful and nice to look at. Walking paths at the bottom had sections where it was washed out but can go on for a few miles if you follow them all. Fast moving water given all the rain so watch your kiddos since there are really no barriers between you and the river. Nice tribute statues up top and the seafood restaurant that I tried to go support but they had no electricity... 😞 Gnats everywhere by the 1000s so wear long pants and sleeves and a hat.

The S — Google review

Definitely a great place that you have to visit if you’re in the Minneapolis area. We went on Tuesday and it wasn’t crowded at all, the parking was easy and the views are awesome!

Lorena V — Google review

It is a stunning natural attraction that offers a refreshing escape from the urban landscape. The 53-foot waterfall, set within Minnehaha Park, is a spectacular sight year-round, transforming with each season. In the spring and summer, the falls are a vibrant cascade, surrounded by lush greenery and blooming flowers, making it a perfect spot for picnics, photography, and leisurely walks. Autumn brings a burst of color as the foliage turns brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow, creating a picturesque backdrop. Even in winter, when the falls freeze into a majestic ice formation, the site remains a captivating destination.Overall, Minnehaha Falls is a must-visit for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Minnesota’s natural landscapes. Its accessibility, combined with the serene and picturesque environment, makes it a perfect spot for a peaceful retreat or an adventurous day out.

Arunava B — Google review

I love this place! It’s so cool that a waterfall is in the middle of the city. It’s a great date place too! Go to the falls, walk around and then listen to some music while eating at Sea Salt.

Katy R — Google review

What a beautiful view of the falls today. The water was high, creating intensity. Following the river, there’s a nice trail that ends in the Mississippi River.

Elisa N — Google review

Explore Minnehaha Falls Bandstand, a beautiful biking path, a decorative fountain, and a disc golf course. Enjoy the convenience of drinking fountains, a lovely garden, and a pay parking lot. There's also parking in front of the meteors, or a paying parking lot you can park at. Another thing you can do while here in this beautiful area, is to relax at the picnic area, let the kids play at the playground/tot lot, and admire the public art. Take a break at the restroom facility, challenge friends at the volleyball court, or cool off at the wading pool. Other than those things another option to do would be to stroll along the walking path, visit a couple of different gardens, and let your furry friend run free at the dog park. Dine at a restaurant with a stunning view of the falls, explore historical sites, and use multiple maps to navigate the area with ease.I absolutely love this park! The scenery is outstanding. I personally think it's worth the drive and worth the view. Just make sure to get here earlyish in the day or around 2pm. Otherwise it will be extremely crowded and less fun, relaxing, or peaceful!

Anna A — Google review

Beautiful scenery. Nice day. Friendly people. Nice walk along the river. Awesome waterfalls. Must see!!!

With all the recent rain, the falls were pounding! Unexpected surprise to find in a city park and thoroughly enjoyed. Go down the stairs for a better view.

Very easy access from the blue line. Restaurant on site. Feels safe. I came during the day, but I see many lights throughout the park

First time here, the walk pathways are great! Love the scenery, great place for dog walks. They have a public path room. Some history to be seen as well. They have a seafood restaurant there that was so busy the line was at least 30 people long! Maybe next time I'll try it.They have rental rides you can bike solo, or with the whole family. Pretty cool. Multi peddle ride. First hour is $29 though and goes up the longer you have it.Definitely recommend for a nice day out!

Super quiet and peaceful. Great for hikes.Come early morning, no rush nor traffic, plenty or parking.

Zoo

Zoos & Aquariums

The Minnesota Zoo, located in Apple Valley, is a 485-acre preserve showcasing a wide variety of local and global animals, from Russian grizzly bears to butterflies. With nearly 100 different animals on-site, visitors can explore the diverse habitats and enjoy the company of many exotic creatures. The zoo offers several trails that allow guests to experience different seasonal environments in the wild.

Great experience for the kids! We started at the treetop trail. This was more of a relaxing walk than anything. We were pretty far from any animal, but we could still see them. The sea otters and bears were the kid's favorite. The discovery bay is a must-see as well. Plenty of sharks and other creatures to see.

Josh L — Google review

It was kinda expensive; $51.90 for two people & parking. I would have hoped there would have been more to see for those prices. Also, the constant ask to "round up and donate more" when you already paid quite a bit for entry is annoying. The signage in the park isn't that great either, and they did away with paper maps (understandable), but better signage would be nice! We did enjoy the nature walk but would have liked to see more animals!

Lindsay W — Google review

Was pretty busy on a Sunday, was hoping the cold would make it not as popular but the internal parts were still pretty packed. Still had fun, lots of cool animals. Sadly some really good ones like lynx and otters are out of their habitat right now.The restaurants inside are way overpriced ($17 for one sandwich) so plan on packing your own lunch.

Chelsie — Google review

Great zoo! Bring your walking shoes; it's HUGE. I was really impressed with how large the enclosures were. It's beautiful with a trail that overlooks a large natural lake. We did get to see two tiger cubs; this zoo is very successful at helping breed endangered tigers. Happy to support them. Definitely family friendly too, of course.

Jessica E — Google review

First time on the zoo's treetop trail and wow was it an amazing walk. The view of nature and into the animal areas was incredible. I'll definitely be coming again. This place is great for children of all ages.

A ROARING GOOD TIME AT THE ZOO MINNESOTA!We recently spent a fantastic day at the Zoo Minnesota with our family, and it was an absolute blast! Our adventure began in the Jurassic World, where we stepped back in time and encountered incredible tropical species, including fascinating birds, mammals, and more.Next, we dove into the Aquatic World, where we were mesmerized by the playful seals and charming penguins. The kids (and let's be honest, the adults too!) were completely captivated by these amazing creatures. The highlight of our day was visiting the majestic tigers - their power and beauty left us all in awe.But the fun didn't stop there! The kids had an absolute blast splashing and playing in the park, and the face-painting station was a wonderful touch. They left with huge smiles and memories to last a lifetime.Rating: 5/5 starsPros:- Variety of exhibits and animals- Interactive and engaging experiences- Friendly and knowledgeable staff- Beautiful park with play areas- Face-painting and activities for kidsCons: None!If you're looking for a fun and educational experience for the whole family, look no further than the Zoo Minnesota. We can't wait to come back and explore again!"

I had a wonderful time at this zoo! The organization and maintenance of the facilities were top-notch. The tropical forest section was my personal favorite, as it featured some exotic animals I had never seen before. A tip for future visitors: be sure to purchase your tickets online in advance. Overall, this zoo is a great destination for families and children, offering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all ages. I highly recommend it!

Martish S — Google review

Best zoo I've been to. Love love love the bird show 😆 the walkway through the zoo is fantastic. I love that you have a play ground for the kiddos, and you can see these teeny monkeys kind of free hangin in their closure. We saw a leopard, a Russian brown bear, the tigers have two enclosures. Lots of trees, truly spectacular.

Shaqaula H — Google review

We had an overall enjoyable experience during our visit, although the first portion of the day left us feeling somewhat underwhelmed. For about the first 80% of the day, we found that most of the animals on display were the kind you could easily find at a local petting zoo, which didn’t quite meet our expectations for something more unique. However, toward the latter part of our visit, things became much more interesting. We were excited to finally encounter some of the more exotic animals like camels, tigers, and leopards, which made the end of the experience far more memorable and enjoyable.

Jonathan L — Google review

There is nothing like an afternoon at the zoo! The animals are cared for in spacious natural-inspired environments, with unique exhibits featuring regional habitats. The zoo also offers amazing summer camps for kids of all ages, including some available at the farmstead, where you can learn about cow milking and taking care of chickens.

Samantha L — Google review

Went on the new walking treetop trail and it was really nice! Couldn't believe how long it was! There's also a fun play area for kids along the trail that's built into the ground and is really unique! We saw the bird show which was really neat -the birds and the handlers have really practiced and it definitely shows!! Wasn't expecting the birds to be so solid in their routine with where they flew, tricks thy did, etc! Wasn't too long or short either! Overall a great time!

Alyssa B — Google review

You must have tickets in advance.Maybe not our family's favorite zoo we've ever been to, but the most unique part is the 1.25 mile long "Treetop Trail," an elevated walkway that goes through the whole zoo. If your kids need a place to burn off steam without running off somewhere else, it's a fantastic idea. The views of animals from above though is pretty awesome. The kids especially enjoyed looking down on the prairie dogs' enclosure, who were apparently having disputes among themselves. The entire indoor section is really nice, too. Getting around inside the building can be a little confusing, and the map is a little difficult to navigate, but the experience makes up for it. Just be prepared to explore a little.

Shawn M — Google review

It was a slow start and we wondered if the outing was a bust. If there were more lights on the walking trail the experience would be much better. If there was information about the event history, the process of carving and the artists on the lit advertising signs it would be more meaningful. But the carved pumpkins were magnificent!!! When we came to the full display we were soooooo impressed. Hats off to the artists!

Leann U — Google review

It's a nice zoo and on a rainy day, the big indoor area is great! One complaint is there are no maps (pamphlet) or we couldn't easily find one and their app doesn't even have a map! Also a few of the stamps in the Minnesota trail were broken.

Diana — Google review

The tickets are too expensive. We walked on the old monorail trail which gives a good view. Many of the animals were not visible. Some areas had no animals. The Comp Zoo in St Paul which is free it's a much better experience.

Paul D — Google review

The zoo is beautiful. The exhibits are very big and clean animals look happy and healthy and thriving. The map for some reason is confusing to me and I feel like it should go in one big circle but you end up walking ALOT to places that go no where. I recommend going to the right if you enter it the south entrance go to the right first where the wolves the puma the black bear is do that walk-through the air conditioning then go back to the left where the tigers are in the wild horses because that is where you will walk forever and no man’s land. If you wanna see the baby tiger cubs that were just born in May you need to go right when they first open 10 am

Ali C — Google review

Jack-o'-lantern spectacular was awesome! Sadly only once a year, so enjoy it while you can. The pumpkins are carved by various tattoo artists and are the most detailed pumpkins I've ever seen! Definitely going again next year!

James ( — Google review

Worth the price of admission. Tickets must be purchased in advance but getting in the gates was quick. There was a little rain the day we were there but a lot of indoor things so it didn't really affect our day at all.

Jennifer C — Google review

I loved this zoo! Good price and amazing scenery and exhibits. It is mostly flat with an exception of a few little hills. It was easy to walk and get through in a reasonable amount of time. I loved seeing all the animals up close.

Brooke — Google review

The Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular was a great time. We were really impressed with the amazing talent that was evident in the carvings. They were phenomenal! Highly recommend, fun for the whole family!Just be advised, you HAVE to purchase your tickets online before arriving, and should do so early because they tend to sell out.

S. D — Google review

Everything had been updated and the habitats are significantly better than what they used to be 10 years ago. I will say the penguins need a better enclosure (it seems it hasn't been updated since it was added). There are lots of activities for kids and adults alike to participate in.

Chantelle M — Google review

I recently visited the Minnesota Zoo, and it was an incredible experience! The variety of animals here is simply amazing, with everything from exotic big cats and playful primates to fascinating marine life. Each exhibit is beautifully designed to mimic the animals' natural habitats, making it not only educational but also visually stunning. The zoo is meticulously maintained, with lush landscaping and plenty of shaded areas to relax and take in the sights. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to share interesting facts and answer any questions. It's clear they genuinely care about the animals. Whether you're a family with kids or just an animal lover, the Minnesota Zoo is a must-visit destination. Highly recommended!

This place was SO FUN! I would definitely recommend it to friends or family wanting to go somewhere fun together. The zoo has many different places to go to, and you can walk to many places and exit back to roads in lots of different places as well. The animals are adorable, and I think my favorite part is the aquatic areas of the zoo. It has a very positive environment and I would definitely love to go back again!

Historical landmark

Legendary bank known for its 1876 Jesse James shootout features local history exhibits & artifacts.

I was visiting my best friend, her daughter and her two granddaughters for the holidays and we planned a trip to Northfield to see the bank the James-Younger gang tried to rob back in 1876. Cathy, the Director of the society, was a delight - very genuine and had some “I Spy” games for the girls to play while we toured the museum and the actual bank. The museum is small but full of all kinds of information and there’s even a small gift shop where you can indulge your inner outlaw - shirts, books, cards, etc. I highly recommend this museum for any Jesse James aficionados. And it’s in the lovely city of Northfield.

Elaine L — Google review

Very interesting little museum! Displays are very informative, and are accentuated by getting an in-person tour from a staff member. There is a gift shop to peruse as well.

Great detalis provided by the written accounts and artifacts really made the chronological walk through an enjoyable experience. Had no idea the townsfolk battled the James - Younger Gang and firced them to leave with almost nothing. Worker there was extremely knowledgeable about the event and the town's history. Must see this place if you're in town!

Steve P — Google review

This is something if you love history. The last bank the Jesse James gang robbed. The actual vault and floors are intact. The actual bank ledger is there with blood on it, too. They also do a reenact the robbery on the first weekend after Labor Day.

Another great small town in Minnesota packed with history and cozy charm (sorry, I just wrote that like a travel agent or travel mag-corny but true). I was hoping they had daily reenactments of Jesse James Gang of 8 trying to rob the First Natl Bank in Sept 1870s as I wasn't clear from website but it turns out it is only performed on the Sept anniv. I toured the historical society downtown for $5 which houses the history of James Gang, the actual original bank inside, and also the Campbell's cereal company who made brands such as Malt 'O Meal and still does. There were also breweries nearby which we try in every town & city we visit so a good afternoon!

Nathan Z — Google review

Enjoyable and informative visit outlining the famous attempted robbery of the bank - they have done a wonderful job providing stories and artifacts.

Jennifer G — Google review

While I would like to give it a higher rating I just wasn't very enthused by the museum. While I understand that is often upkeep on even small museums can be a lot, I was still somewhat displeased with the content vs the price. If I recall correctly entry was $10 to $20, depending on age. Additionally, it all centers around the story of one bank robbery. Which is cool, sure, but I would also have liked to learn about the history of the town itself. Questions like the town's establishment, the stories of the Scandinavian immigrants, how a small town ended up with two colleges, etc. were sparsely addressed, if at all. Overall, cool story of the bank robbery which was well told but minimal content beyond that.

First time in Northfield. Knew of Jesse James, but was amazed at the courage of normal citizens. They protected and sacrificed, some they're very lives, to stop this gang of killers. Small place full of history.

I'm not sure why this nature reserve has some not very good reviews. Parking and finding a spot isn't hard to find. The walk is beautiful. You get a bunch of different beautiful pictures and animals. It's relaxing and calming. There are maps along the way in case you don't normally go on a daily basis so you can't even get lost! Depending on the time of day you visit, its not even busy! The most people you'll probably run into would be the people fishing in front of the trail. Otherwise not a lot of people! The trail consists of different terrain. Starts off with just some grass and some rocks. Goes into a sandy area that doesn't last too long. There are miles of trails, different ways you can take. There are some hills, but it isn't even that bad. The views and the quietness will be worth the hike and different areas of the trails. There will be a lot of trees for nice shade. Some spots where you can find a bench to sit down and relax. One tunnel to go through. If you take the trail long enough it can take you to the upper part of the trail.

Anna A — Google review

Didn't explore all the trails yet. Nice that it's free and clean.

Really enjoy coming here through the different seasons. Have especially been enjoying the prairie lately but the woods and river are wonderful too. Unfortunately, like many places, there are a huge number of invasives throughout, but I see that they’re trying to tackle these issues in as ecological ways as they can.

Trina B — Google review

A truly beautiful place in all seasons. Good fishing, skiing, and hiking

Alan F — Google review

Beautiful walking paths. Not sure if there is an actual building but the grounds of the college are beautiful.

Stephanie D — Google review

Great trail with mix of sun and shade. Trail changes from dirt to sand them pea rock with long stretches of grass. It's not TOO hilly but is a very good hike. Flies found us near the end...bring bug spray.

John V — Google review

Miles of trails! This is a great place to come to enjoy nature. I used Gaia Maps to help me navigate around the trails because it is a bit of a maze. There are trail signs which is very helpful but Gaia was still helpful. My last hike in mid-August was in the evening/dusk (after sunset) on the trails by the river (upper arboretum). I saw so many deer and saw a beaver on the river. After nightfall, the fireflies came out! That was really fun to see. Not too many birds as it was not the right time of day but I did see a flock of geese on the river. In winter, I come here for the cross-country skiing.

Not what I would normally call an aboretum, but it's a very nice park!Parking was very annoying to find as google routes you to a weird back building where you cannot park and you have to kinda find a way to the parking lot. Trying to get the location updated

Nicholas W — Google review

Beautiful trails and lots of wildlife to see!

Jess R — Google review

One of the highlights of Northfield, and great to visit in any season. The summer of course offers miles of hiking trails through prairies, forests, and rivers with lush green vegetation. The fall has amazing displays of foliage, especially in upper arb. During the winter, many of the trails are groomed into cross country skiing trails, and the rest are open for snowshoeing. And in the spring, it's always nice to see life re-emerge from the cold. There are plenty of places to park, enter, sit, or have a picnic throughout, so there's no need to plan your day meticulously to have a good time

Brian Z — Google review

Beautiful place, nice walking paths, seating, and even a BBQ grill. We saw several deer as well. My new favorite place. Will definitely go back!

Packaging, photos & an old grocery store reconstruction tell the story of the famed processed meat.

My mother and I took my two little boys age 8 and almost 10. They loved it. There's so much interactive stuff to do for the kids. And the best thing was they had taste testing. The kids really love that too. We got to dress up like inspectors and the plant and we got to practice packaging span. The boys really loved it and me and my mom liked it too.

Brandy G — Google review

This was such a fun stop! There's a small playground for the kids and other activities they would have fun doing. A great gift shop full of all your fav Spam flavors.

Rebecca B — Google review

The Spam Museum is a delightful and quirky experience! The exhibits are interactive and fun, offering a fascinating look into the history and global impact of Spam. The staff are incredibly friendly and even give out free samples, which is a nice touch. The museum is well designed, with lots of photo ops and engaging displays for all ages. Whether you’re a Spam fan or just curious, it’s a unique stop that’s both educational and entertaining.

Mitch W — Google review

Very interesting and cool museum. All the interesting history is laid out in an interactive experience. The Spam cans riding around the track up in the ceiling are neat to see. The gift shop has lots of cool stuff. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. All in all a cool place to visit.

David C — Google review

Absolutely amazing place to go if you want to learn about the history of spam. The people that work there are great, there are plenty of exhibits and a lot of interactive activities for kids.

Brett A — Google review

What a blast! Who knew that SPAM had so much history?!? This museum was a lot of fun. You’ll learn about all the things that the Hormel company has done for our country, especially our military. You can tasteSPAM samples and shop for souvenirs in the gift shop. There is a station where you can actually make fake spam and be times to see how fast you can do it. You’ll see a conveyor belt overhead that moves about 700 cans of spam around the museum. The employees are ready and willing to help answer any questions. We got a tour with Ashley and she was a greatguide. She knew so much about the company. If you’re in the area, this is a great great place to go. If you love SPAM, this is a must see!

Susan S — Google review

Where are my SPAM lovers at?! We made it to the SPAM museum in Austin, Minnesota! Great history of my favorite canned meat! Yummy!! Super cool and fun museum to visit with free SPAM samples! Located in a cute and quaint small town of Austin, Minnesota where Hormel produces all their canned goodies! Don't forget to visit the gift shop and the Hormel home! Another must visit if you are in the area!

Blue T — Google review

The SPAM Museum is a true wonder! Love this little Museum dedicated to everything SPAM. Great folks have lots of great historical tidbits and SPAM samples. Great recipes at the kiosks allow you to email directly to your inbox. They have a kids' play area too. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Definitely visit!

L B — Google review

So much fun! The kids loved the museum! Plenty of fun facts and things to do! They even come around with SPAM samples!! They have lots of fun historical facts and a fun play place for kids. The store inside has some really cute spam souvenirs!Bonus the museum is very inclusive from motion sensor doors to noise canceling headphones and cute quiet areas!

We planned our drive across Minnesota so that we could stop here. We first heard of this museum on Mark and Tricia Leeach's YouTube channel "KYD- Keep Your Daydream." We enjoyed our visit tremendously and stayed in town to have lunch at a nearby local place. Free entrance. Free parking. Free samples. Great gift shop. We bought a magnet.

Jolene K — Google review

As a SPAM lovers and a place of family significance for my friend as her father worked at Hormel and his name was on the WWII role call, it was just outstanding. I had never even known that such a museum existed.Exhibits were very informative and interesting, museum store carries many varieties of SPAM not available in grocery stores, plus all kinds of cool merch.Free admission is always a good price and you definitely get way more than you will get at quite a few other museums.

Paulette M — Google review

A really cool place to go if you are in Austin! A lot of history that you don't really know about and a corporation that gives back to the community! Very interesting and worth walking around.

Glen M — Google review

Great museum detailing the history and many uses of SPAM. All the exhibits had an interactive element, which is great for kids and adults alike. I found the overhead conveyor belt of all the flavors running throughout the museum to be especially fascinating. All the staff were friendly and the gift shop was well-stocked with souvenirs for purchase.

Denver D — Google review

I don't eat SPAM but this was a very good visit! Bring your kids! I had fun and would go back next time I'm in the area. We got to sample the newest version: Korean BBQ!Beat of all, it's free! But it feels like you paid because it's so well done.

Bradley M — Google review

2023:Lots of fun and history. Knowing that I grew up on spam and loved spam my niece surprised me with a surprise trip to the museum. Even though my wife and niece are not fans of spam, they were surprised to have such a great time visiting a museum. They even sent pictures to others. Most did not realize there was such a museum and others claimed they were envious that we were able to visit the museum.

Paul H — Google review

This Museum is always a favorite! It is kitschy place that is well done, interesting and informative. The company was innovative with their cans and recipe. You can try samples of various SPAM meats while learning about their history and manufacturing methods. The new location is even better than their old one!

Mike L — Google review

Have you ever wanted to know how many cans of Spam tall you are? Or perhaps find those hard to get flavors your local grocery doesn't carry? Are you someone that appreciates a good bargain? Then the SPAM Museum is the place for you! I now know EXACTLY how many cans of SPAM tall I am (20.5), I got a couple flavors that I didn't even know were available, and to top it off, admission is FREE! Even if you don't like eating SPAM, the story behind it is interesting, and the museum lays everything out in a very user friendly way. I will say, we made up for the free admission in the gift shop....There is truly something for everyone in there. Also, don't steal the rocks from the bathroom.

Becca K — Google review

This is a totally FUN stop!Learn all the things about SPAM and try all the recipes! This has a great history of SPAM and how it was and is used - it's history, and the kids can even see how long it takes them to assemble SPAM cans.Don't miss the Monty Python version of the SPAM-a-lot musical also on display!

Jennifer H — Google review

It was cool, not as big inside as I thought it was going to be. Tried 2 samples they were giving out. It would have been cooler if they actually had a booth or station where you try all the flavors of spam. But I did get a cool t-shirt and some Spam to try at home.

Jason B — Google review

We had a great time at the Spam Museum, especially with our tour guide, Ronalldo, who made the experience even better. It was super fun to learn about the history of Spam, and we were impressed by all the exhibits. The gift shop was a highlight as well, with a great selection of unique items and very friendly staff. One suggestion: it would be amazing if the museum had its own restaurant. They’re missing out on tapping into a huge potential here. Overall, a fun visit and highly recommended.

Loveeeeee this museum. It’s even better than its old location, which is visited in 2002. For Kitsch, history, and food lovers alike, this is such a well-done museum. Fantastic gift shop. I don’t know if I could drive through the area without stopping again!

Kari M — Google review

Very neat stop on our trip. Had a play area for little kids, and little sections on how different countries were introduced and consume SPAM. Also had an area to test how fast you can pack Spam in cans. Tried the Korean bbq flavor as a sample when we were there. Overall pretty cool

Very nice and quick to go through visitor center with some tidbits about a few nature-y topics. We were out at the observation tower when the Syrup talk started, so we missed that but it sounded interesting. Good easy hiking through the prairie and woods.

I have been driving past this place my whole life and wish I would’ve found it sooner! This place is absolutely amazing, very unique, and the staff is going above and beyond at all times! One employee even helped me with the electric car charger because my service was bad. 10 out of 10!

Taryn T — Google review

My friend and I used the action track chairs ( for people with mobility issues) to explore the Jay C Hormel Nature Center's walking and cross-country trails. They were covered with ice, so very few people were out. We were the only ones who could navigate safely. We could cross bridges, go down steep hills, go over anything safely. It was a hoot! We had a blast and definitely will be back! Thank you so much for providing those chairs!

Cris O — Google review

The Trails are smooth and well maintained, and the wild flowers are spectacular. This was a pleasant walk. The only drawback is the road noise from interstate 90 was inescapable. Buy not to overbearing.

Brad W — Google review

Very lovely visitor center and trails. No dogs or bicycles allowed, though. I guess I see the reasoning. But it's their place, their rules and that's okay. You can't beat the admission fee....free. Do go and enjoy.

Our church meets at this venue Sunday mornings. It's a very professional place. We'll lit with windows or electric screens can be lowered. Plug in play projector for presentations. Live music sounds great, but it's easy to get too loud with a full band. All on one level for handicap access. Easy loading but bring a cart for your stuff. parking for 100s surrounded by miles of walking trails. The kids go outside and run if needed. Kitchenette for serving food. Leave it spotless.

Spencer T — Google review

Although we didn't get to go into the building as it was closed the day we visited, we did get to walk in the park. There were lots of nice trails to walk on, some of which were paved. For those that weren't paved, they were smooth enough for us to push a stroller on (with pneumatic tires) with only a few spots that were muddy or bumpy.Overall, I'd love to go back when the trees have leaves and when it's a bit warmer. The day we went was very windy and there wasn't much for protection to slow it down. The observation tower is a little anti-climactic. I guess I was thinking it would be quite a bit taller than it was.

We had a lovely midafternoon Sunday stop here to try out the token flight and enjoy some food. The place was busy, but the service was fantastic. We enjoyed all of the wines that we tried, which came as a pleasant surprise, and even bought two bottles to take home. We also had the Lady Gaga garlic cheese bread naan and the Stevie Nicks chicken pesto pizza; there was a bit of a wait for the food, because the place was indeed busy, but what came out was absolutely delicious. We're already talking about doing another trip here to try more wines!

Our family had a wedding in the upstairs event space. The venue was elegant but fun. The staff was lovely and helpful. The support in event planning was great from the first day. We could not have been happier.

Sarah S — Google review

Over the years we’ve watched this property come on the market, be purchased and renovated into this historic event center. Within years, the upstairs space, formerly the town dance hall, was also restored and open for larger events (up to 250 people, we were told). Everything that the owners have done is time-period and exceptional.Initially, we went to see the interior, sample wine, and listen to bit of music over an appetizer. They also offer smaller rooms ideal for board meetings, I rented one for a small local group centered around my work. The staff are positive, fun-loving, and customer focused. This remained true while the building changed hands again in 2016 to Ron Stowell of Eagan. We enjoy supporting local businesses and this remote gem that has its own 20 acres vineyard. It is amazing how great local grapes can taste!Today, you can go in and find a table; shortly someone will come to give you menu options. Their flatbread pizzas and appetizer charcuterie boards are ideal for sharing. It has come with a varied selection of artisanal cheeses and meats, artfully accompanied by fruit, crackers/bread, nuts and olives. They are always fine pairings with wine. You can tell you are in for an exceptional experience just by the naming of their Shareable Plates: The Queen Elizebth II, The Spice Girls, and The Judge Judy Sandwich. They also name entrees after famous actors - everything has an upscale twist with a bit of humor. On cooler days, I have often dropped in to order the creamy chicken with wild rice soup. The name? Annie Oakley Soup. It is such a help that they expanded their menu and now also offer salads. This is a whole notch up from ordering the usual American hamburger. If you enjoy wineries, I highly recommend that you visit this place. Beverage options run from beer to wine to liquor. You can pull up to the bar, sit outdoors during warm weather, or elect for table seating. Parking is ample. The setting is ideal - right in the heart of the historic downtown of Cannon Falls, MN. You’ll also find unusual gifts for your discerning friends who seem to already have everything.

Jeannie H — Google review

Took over an hour for a salad and a bowl of soup then the soup wasn't hot and the salad was missing ingredients. We had to ask if she forgot to put our order in. They offered the wine room temp or chilled we said chilled and it was room temp.

We had a great time on Saturday at Cannon River Winery! The space is adorable! They had fantastic live music from The Riddle Brothers, yummy wine and treats, and the service was great! We tried the token sampler which was great because we were able to try five different wines of our choice. Our server, Brianna, was super knowledgeable and attentive! I would highly recommend visiting here.

It has a very open atmosphere, very spacious. I am not a huge wine drinker but the three kinds I tried were good. My wife who rarely drinks wine had two glasses of a sweet white that was recommended by the waitress. I had a Betty White sandwich and it was pretty good. We both enjoyed our time there

John D — Google review

Pretty nice small town winery! The staffs are very friendly and helpful. It costs you small amounts and you can taste a couple of their breweries. What we had was very fruitful taste, mild for everyone. They have indoor and outdoor tables for you to enjoy yours leisurely... There is a big parking lot by the winery. Also, the Cannon River trail is right next. Very convenient if you prefer a walk after your wine taste.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I met two of my friendsin Cannon Falls for dinner. They came from the Twin Cities and I came from Rochester thinking it would be a great place to meet. We had dinner and then stopped at Cannon River Winery for a glass of wine at approximately 7:45pm. Our server Jon came to the table and let us know the kitchen was closed. We asked if the dessert charcuterie board was available. He checked and came back to the table to let us know it was not available. We then said we were fine with wine and he explained the drink options (flights, tokens, glasses, bottles). He took our order and we were each served our glass of wine at approximately 7:55pm. Shortly after, Jon stopped by to let us know they close at8pm and would need to have us pay. We were surprised they even served us and asked if we could finish our drinks and he assured us we could. We paid and continued to enjoy our wine and conversation. At approximately 8:20pm, Zach approached the tableand asked us to leave because they closed at 8pm and he cannot count the tills while there are still people there. None of us had finished our drink. I mentioned to Zach that we were served our wine just before 8pm and hadn't had a chance to finish our drinks. His response was "I would have drank it faster." After this unprofessional response, I asked Zach for a refund. He said he was not authorized to give refunds. As we got ready to leave, my friend used the restroom and we waited by the table. It was then that Jon started aggressively sweeping next to our table and did not stop until our friend was done in the restroom and we made our way to the door.Needless to say, our girls' night ended poorly thanks to theterribleservice at this establishment. I was very much enjoying my sparkling wine and conversation withfriends. In 47 years, this is the worst experience I've had in a winery/bar/restaurant. The tone of Zach's voice and Jon's physical closeness while he swept made us question our safety. If there had not been a wedding upstairs I would have been very frightened.I frequently visit Cannon Falls and can confidently say that I will never again visit Cannon Valley Winery and will not recommend it to friends.

Dana B — Google review

I had a great time with friends and family at Cannon River Winery. My favorite part was our server, Brianna. She was so attentive, knowledgeable and wonderful to talk with. Her expertise elevated the entire experience and I can't wait to go back and try more wines from her!

Amy S — Google review

Loved the atmosphere, loved the wine and we decided on ordering flights, only issue was we waited well over 30 to 40 minutes for our charcuterie board, and others arriving after us, got served before us. I was hungry and had to hold off on my wine till I got food in my stomach. Our waitress was nice and felt bad we waited so long, but the only thing is she didn't come to our table to even explain why the long wait. When bringing out the board, she apologized and said that we received extra for no cost, more on the board. We ended up buying our favorites for at home.

Trish — Google review

Attended a wedding reception. The venue was wonderful! The staff were quick and friendly. The decorations that were able to be setup were amazing! I would definitely consider having my large events in this space. Additionally the winery was superb and hosted a full host of options from beer to wine to liquor. The style is modern rustic and executes it without flaw. Stop in when you are in town!

Brady B — Google review

We had not been here for a few years. Its still a nice place to visit. The wines were decent and the servers were pleasant. I liked the Mill Street Red. The pizza we ordered was the only thing we did not particularly enjoy.

John V — Google review

Fun experience! We came as a group for a wine tasting. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Would recommend!

Jason E — Google review

The grape harvesting kinda missed the mark in my opinion. They forget that we paid $25 a person to help them, just to be rewarded with a Mac and cheese lunch. One employee was marching down the vineyard lines with a speaker pushing us to pick and really wasn’t friendly when it came to pouring the wine tastings. I didn’t mind seeing how grapes were picked, but was expecting more of a tasting experience with food that accompanies the wines along with an explanation about the wines.

Steve S — Google review

Food service can get held up during busy periods. Try the J Lo flatbread. It's delicious. There was a good variety of wines, something to suite all tastes. We'll definitely be back!

Worst casino ever. They have become extra greedy over the past 6 months. Nothing but lying and cheating and stealing our hard earned money. This place takes your money offering very little in return. Not even a little fun while you lose! Every machine every time is nothing more than dead spins and empty bonuses on repeat! Not too long ago, Treasure Island was actually an okay place to gamble, we actually prefered it over other casinos in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but not anymore. We keep coming back hoping this time will be different and better, but unfortunately every visit ends up being worse than the one before! They have replaced fun and fair gaming with stealing and cheating fueled by their overwhelming level of pure greed.Because of this they are quickly losing their once loyal customer base. From 12.15.2023 thru 4.8.2024 we (husband and I) have lost approximately $22,000 (see some of the detailed examples below)They are intentionally stealing from me and the hundreds of others that walk through their doors on a daily basis.Seriously people we all need to STOP GAMBLING AT TREASURE ISLAND!If we don’t come, they have no one to steal from and if they can’t steal from us, they will be the ones losing.Maybe when they are the ones losing they will finally realize that greed is bad for businessBest of luck to you all

The water lagoon was pretty nice and fun. Having an adult only section with 3 different hot tubs to sit in. Although I wish they'd clean the ceiling to the outside hot tub once in the summer to kill the spider infestation.Customer service needs improvement, didn't seem like anyone working there enjoyed their job. It's worth at least giving it a try, I know I'll be back eventually because it was fun, I just hope they can make some improvements, such as keeping the water lagoon bar open past 10 on weekends... and friendly workers.

I came down here for my sons birthday,All the kids and myself walked into the pool and I was told I needed to exit the pool to go back to sign a waiver . Which is fine I get that . I went out to the desk to sign the waiver and when I come back into the pool the group of boys I brought were now all outside of the pool and I was immediately scolded by this lady in the skirt. Saying that my kids need to be supervised. I let her know that I was asked to go back out and sign the waiver. As I was setting my stuff down and taking my clothes off, some of the boys went into the pool where the basketball hoop was. Before I could even get situated the lady in the skirt came over again and said that I need to be able to supervise the kids. I let her know that I was simply taking my clothes off that were covering my swim suit. Mind you none of the water is over 3ft 6 in and all the kids that in had with me are great swimmers all over the age of 10. There is kids running around with no adults in site of them. And even kids in the ‘adults’ hot tub.I specifically bought a swimming pass with plans on going in the hot tub while these kids play, had I known that I needed to be right on top of them watching them. I wouldn’t have bought a swimming pass. The life guard in the chair I guess is the referee of a basketball game that I’m already being forced to watch.I honestly cannot believe the service I received here tonight .Can happily say I will not be back and supporting this casino. I would have been better off taking the kids to a hotel swimming pool with no lifeguard on duty.Update I got kicked out of the pool by 6 security guards after asking to speak to a manger due to the fact we kept getting harassed.

This place is disgusting. We got food poisoning from the restaurant. There are significant sanitation issues all over the building, but especially in all of the food serving stations. The staff at the Steakhouse were very rude to us and told us to go away when we expressed interest in eating there...maybe their food is better? Who knows. I guess they don't let in people wearing shorts, even on an 80 degree day.

Stayed in buffalo tower..$302.00 a night. We had No hot water for our showers, no fridge, and no microwave. I should have checked the amenities. That may have been my own fault...We still would have taken the room regardless if this was our only option...Our friends room had a fridge. Not sure why some rooms have one and others don't..We paid the same. They do have an ice machine on the floor for a cooler.. For 300.00 a night I expext a hot shower however..Rooms were clean except the windows looked very dirty. I saw another review here, they also did not have hot water. Just be aware ...you might be taking a cold shower. and yes, we let the water run for quite a while before taking a shower, and my husband and I both had cold showers., so the hot water never came...

We were in the wolf tower and our room was nice. There was no view from the room we could see a cache of porta potties and an outdoor concert venue. I didn't feel the cost equaled the value but not by much. The pool is NOT included in the price of the room. You can go for free though. You have to go to the casino and get a card, it's an easy but involved process that took 30 minutes. Which cut into our pool time. The location was a bit far from the city which would have been great if the rooms had a view of the lovely greenery around the hotel.

We had a great time in our anniversary here.We had a king run with a hot tub. It was lovely. We had 2 meals at Currents-1st one for dinner. It was great the breakfast the next morning the steak was rare even when it was returned. So, that was a bummer. We were able to procure a wonderful sandwich from another part of the casino where they have for and drinks available 24hrs.The gift shop was great. The lagoon opened at 4- the bartender was very late and didn't arrive until close to 6.

By far the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. The rooms were very dated. The carpets were from the 70’s. The bathroom was dimly lit and the tub was stained yellow. The TV was as old as the hills. The walls were so thin I could clearly hear conversations & the people next door having sex all night long. The buffet was disgusting. I only ate the mashed potatoes and ice cream. I walked around the buffet feeling disgusted and very disappointed. If you are under the age of 40 do not go here. I felt like I was trapped in an old folks home. The windows were covered in cobwebs and bugs. The slot machine buttons were dirty, like they never clean them. I didn’t even bother going to the lagoon area- God only knows what that looked like! I bet the water was disgusting. I probably dodged a bullet. I’ve never been so happy to leave a hotel. Disappointed I wasted my time and money.

We actually stayed in the RV park, and we had a pretty terrible time. The first thing is; we were told we could have a campfire at our site, and apparently that's not accurate. In all honesty, I would have stayed someplace else if I knew that. I purchased a whole bunch of wood, but I had no campfire to light as there was no pit.The second thing is, we arrive sometime around 5ish. The RV office was already closed and that was fine. However, I picked up the phone outside of the check-in office, and I spoke to a woman at the front desk about obtaining keys so we can access the shower rooms. She told me someone would be over there momentarily. We literally sat there for 35 minutes, and nobody showed up. So we decided to go and set up our RV (which has no shower). After a long day of work; and a long drive out to the casino, a shower would have been great. After the RV was set up, I then called the hotel from my cell phone. Again, I was apologized to, and I was assured someone would meet me at the RV office and give me the keys we needed. 20 minutes later, and still nobody had showed up. 😕 It was dark outside, no staff available, no fire pit as we were promised, and so we just went to bed early. We didn't want to go in the casino because we hadn't had showers. The next morning, I went over to the Marina where the showers are located, and I used the marina phone. I asked to speak with security, and I explained to the woman on the phone that twice we have been promised access cards to the shower, and twice no one showed up. She apologized, and then she called security and explained to them who I was, where I was, and what I needed. Within a few minutes, the security pulled up and gave us access cards. This felt like an entire evening wasted simply because we couldn't get clean. This was unacceptable.

We had a great time for a night stay here. Rooms were nice, buffet was a great bargain, and the pool area was awesome. Best part of our stay was one of the shuttle drivers, Todd. He was such a nice, funny guy and was always there when we needed him.

I give them 4.5 stars. My room carpet was not vacuumed. All staff I encountered were great and helpful. I was there for a business event and didn’t get a chance to play any casino games. Also pool is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

My first trip to this casino and I was overwhelmed by how clean it is. No smoking except designated areas which are partitioned off with glass doors. You walk in to a pleasant smelling, attractive area that is actually welcoming. The campus is enormous, including a bowling alley amongst other amenities. Staff was extremely helpful and nice.

We attended the Island Block Party last night and it was amazing! The band and the food trucks were great! There was so much space for the kids to run around and play, and they loved the bounce houses and mini golf. With as many people that were there it didn't feel crowded. We had a lot of space around us during the fireworks. The fireworks were wonderful. You felt like you could reach out and touch them. The music during the fireworks was perfect. There were a lot of workers who were so helpful and seemed to be having as much fun as the attendees. The only bad thing was getting out at the end, but the casino did it's best with only having one road in and out. They had a lot of workers trying to get people out as quickly as possible. We will definitely be back next year!

There are soooo many things I can say about this place. 1. Nothing has changed since 2008. Everything is the same. The beds. Carpet. Bathroom. It’s disgusting. Throughout my stay I did not take my shoes off until I got in the bed. 2. Nothing is open outside of the casino until 5pm. The food options here are disgusting. The buffet is made for people with no teeth. I’ve never came back to my table with an empty plate at a buffet before. Not worth $32. 3. The bathtub in the room are stained yellow. The walls are paper thin. In fact they are so paper thin. I could hear the people next door having intercourse throughout the night. It felt like I was in the room with them. The other neighbors had a horror movie on and was constant woken up by either moaning or screams. 4. The bowling alley was cool. Again has not been updated since 08. The bowling balls are disgusting with grease all over the ball. Not much cleaning has been done outside of the hotel. With plenty of spiderwebs throughout the building. We had originally planned to stay 2 nights but have now cut this trip short and will be leaving after 1 night. I asked if I could just get my money back all together and just leave same day as check in but were told we would still be charge for the night anyways. This was everything that has occurred within the past 12 hours of being here. Still no sleep and writing this at 2 am. Hoped to enjoy my birthday here but will be checking out asap on my birthday and going home. You’re better off not coming here at all. Please save your money.

Great entertainment destination. We recently visited the area and checked out three casinos Mystic, Little Six and this one Treasure Island. What a great experience. Plenty of slots, good food and they do have tables games and even bingo. The most memorable was their staff. Friendly, accommodating, and were great hosts unlike the bigger casino we visited. Going to stay at this resort next visit. If your planning on visiting the Twin City area make some time for Treasure Island, you may even hit a show while there. Great Job Treasure Islamd team and thank you for the hospitality.

During our stay we noticed our floor and wall In our room was very wet. We called the front desk about it. They did not take us seriously and were very rude to us telling us that “It is just condensation “. “ it happens all the time”. They offered to bring up fans to dry it! It was midnight and we did not want loud fans in our room. They offered us another room but we had an adjoining room with family so moving wasn’t a good option for us. We asked that they comp our room. They wouldn’t. Here is the kicker. They never took us seriously about the amount of water in our room. There was obviously something very wrong because the next morning we see the ceiling in the lobby collapsed and halls were flooded! MAYBE IF THEY HAD TAKEN US SERIOUSLY THEY COULD HAVE AVOIDED A LOT OF DAMAGE! Even so, they wouldn’t comp our wet room!!

We stayed in the Buffalo wing. It was very old, clean but no refrigerator or microwave. Plug-ins were few. It was a handicap room. The bathtub was a high tub. It's hard to get in and out of. Very disappointing! I have stayed there before and there were no problems. But this was not a pleasant experience.

Deborah S — Google review

I recommend avoiding ever coming to this venue for a concert. The concert itself was great but that being said there is very little strategy by Treasure Island for the parking that directly led to a several hour gridlock traffic leaving the venue. I personally will never be back and honestly I don’t recommend anyone else come here for an event.

1st visit back after 20 years and I can't say how upset I am with the function of this establishment. Our room had no refrigerator or microwave forcing you to use the restaurants. You c a not open any windows in your room for fresh air, and believe me you will need it.. so sad. It was a nice hotel back in the day.. I won't go back until they update it..

LC M — Google review

Was only here to see The Rocket Man Show so didn't experience rooms or any of the food except for the coffee bar. The coffee bar is unfortunately located right beside the doors to the smoking side of the casino. The staff at the box office and the events center were very friendly and helpful.

Dj P — Google review

I will begin by saying at least the room was quiet. Room was semi-cleaned, the bed sheets were very rough, the furniture looked beaten up, no refrig or microwave, every window that we saw was filthy to the point you could not see outside...esp in our room...it was disgusting! The price they charged for a room for a concert as ridiculous!! We paid over $300 for a Motel 6 type room. The sit down restaurant did have quick service and good food. The grill did not have good food and super slow.

This hotel is just not a pleasant place to stay. Upon check-in, we had rudest attendant who checked us in, which really things just spiraled from there. The nicest people we encountered were the ones that you went to to get access to the people so friendly and informative and friendly. Thumbs 👍 to those guys.

Not hotel review. Just casino. Small little areas, nothing really makes sense, low ceilings, smoking area in odd place. The layout is TERRIBLE. I have been to many casinos. This is the number 1 worst layout. I only go if I have to for an event. Barely any beverage stations, long bar lines. Bummer.

Specialty Museums

Red Wing Store in Red Wing, MN is a chain retailer that offers a wide range of handcrafted leather boots suitable for both work and leisure. Located about 1 mile east of downtown, the store provides stunning views of central Red Wing and the Mississippi River. Visitors can drive to the top or take a hike along marked trails. The store boasts a spacious interior with a huge variety of boots, apparel, banners, socks, and gloves.

Loved seeing the worlds largest boot. It has a cute self guided tour. That was fun. I love to see the history of things and see how items are made. If you do too, check out this store. I did treat myself to fun little item to take home to remember this visit as well.

If you are looking for a pair of boots, this is definitely the place to come. Lots of selections, spacious displays, and some of the friendliest staff that you will ever meet. Be sure to get your picture taken next to the World's Biggest Boot.

I recently visited the Red Wing Shoe Store and Museum and it was an incredible experience! The highlight was seeing the world's largest boot, a unique and impressive sight. The museum exhibit on the second floor offered an insightful look into the history and craftsmanship of Red Wing Shoes. I was also thrilled to find the outlet store on the lower level, where items were marked 30-70% off. Although the selection was more skewed towards men's items, which was a bit disappointing as a female shopper, I understand that their products are often marketed more towards men. Overall, it was a delightful and educational visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in unique attractions and great deals on quality footwear.

The giant shoe is worth seeing, in my opinion. Even if all you want is a shoe picture, it's right there when you walk in. They have a cute little museum also if you are interested in learning something.

We came just for the boot lol. The museum upstairs is pretty cool! The whole store is neat.

Pretty great store. Especially downstairs where they sell boots that didn’t make it past Red Wings thorough inspection process. My wife bought two pairs and I got one and for the life of us we couldn’t find the defects. On that note… charging $45 for a t shirt is criminal. Bet you would sell a lot more if you lowered your price.

I was here to see the World's Largest Boot which would be a size 638 1/2 D and was created to celebrate the company's 100th birthday. It took the hides of 80 cows and is over 20 feet tall. Forget wearing it - you could put a basketball team inside! As well as the boot, there is a complete show store and the Red Wing Shoes museum that is well worth your time. I found it interesting and yes, the boots that are for sale are rather expensive. Extremely high quality and high quality isn't cheap.

Bruce K — Google review

Always wanted to go there and travelled all the way from U.K. to visit this store. Huge varieties and the store is very spacious. Other nostalgia like banners and socks and gloves can be found here including apparels. Downstairs in the basement is where you really get good deals, nearly all boots which you find in your local red wing shop you can find here, not all but a lot of them and various sizes. Was dealt by a lovely lady at the counter who was shocked that I came all the way from England. 1st floor/2nd floor(US) is where the museum is which tells you where it all started and who owns the company and what were the shoes originally used for. Overall great visit.

Just to start, I love my redwing boots. I've had my current pair for a little under 2 years and the toe on the right side started to tear. I went to the Red Wing location in Red Wing, MN (hour drive from my house) to get tuff toe installed on my boots to help preserve them a bit longer. I got to the store and paid for the tuff toe and the lady at the counter went to install it in the back. From every video I've seen on how to install it, you are supposed to use tape and try to get the lines as even as possible to make it look the best. I wasn't super concerned with the right foot due to the damage on the toe but, when I went to pick up my boots, I found that whoever installed it didn't mask anything off.The lines weren't even relatively straight. There was tuff toe all on the bottom of the sole and it just looked like they free handed it onto my 450$ boots. I know the tuff toe will still serve the same purpose and protect the boot but, I'm very disappointed in the quality of the "repair". I could have not driven an hour and installed it myself at home and ended up with a better result.

Red Wing Shoes are living off their name. These boots are 7 months old and already falling apart. This culture of cutting corners and charging consumers premium prices will come back to bite you someday. After 27 years I'm done with Red Wing Shoes.

I walk on concrete floors at work. I am always on my feet. So, I stopped in and ended up buying a pair of Irish Setter Elys. The salespeople there made it easy to find a good right fit and style.I recently stopped in to buy a second pair of the same boots so that I could switch between the two pairs. My feet are happy, and, weirdly, nearly callus free. That's crazy because I've always had tough feet.I'll be a customer for life.

I was so impressed. There's a huge parking lot across from the hiking trails. I went to the top on the west end overlook. And WOW. The trees are changing colors and the rock formations are huge, stunning. I went at 9am on a weekday. Not a soul round. A lovely hike. Once you're at the top you feel peace. There's a but of stairs, nothing crazy. Walking along the cliff side with the rope is kind of scary if you're afraid of heights like me, lol. So worth it though. Red Wing is a pretty little city.

Beautiful hike. be careful, especially if it is wet, and if it says that part of the trail is closed, honor the signs. It has a great view of the river and the town, when you get to the top. Fall is so pretty , but I imagine that any time of the year would be nice to hike this.

We had a class dance there, and the three course meal was awesome. The beef was cooked and seasoned better than any meat I’ve had before. My visit was not a normal one so I can’t judge how good it is normally, but from what I’ve seen it is a great place to visit.

This is an EXCELLENT option for food and drink. I listed it this way on purpose, the food is awesome and has been for every visit we have made in the past several years. My wife is a wine drinker, I prefer the hard cider (loon juice). The drinks never fall flat. This place is so consistent on product it's hard to find a fault. My personal favorites are Extra Juicy and Grow A Pear.Their bourbon is also good. The Walnut Salad is great. The cheese and charcuterie boad is excellent. My wife and kids like the pizza (again, just not my thing). The location is easy to find. The premise is large and set up really nicely for a quiet table or party of everyone. They have many, many rows of grapes to roam around in. It is a great place for an event or party. If you get a chance try the lobster boil.Highly recommended.

//Our Home Away From Home\\At Four Daughters Winery you will feel so relaxed just like you are at home. The wines and Loon Juices are all so delicious. The Pinot Noir is a red wine that is perfectly sweet. The specialty wine flight is my favorite. Try the dessert- It is FABULOUS! Our favorite part is the seasonally changing menu. We have gone to several dinner events and they wow us every time!

What a delightful experience for lunch! Our kids enjoyed the pizza, and my husband and I loved the sirloin-lobster special and the apple-walnut salad. I liked the Big Boy Red blend wine and my husband liked the Loon Juice rosé. We loved the vibe and modern architecture of this place. We live in the Twin Cities, and we were visiting the area, and think it’s worth a special trip there.

Jill H — Google review

Great service, big portions on the food we ordered and definitely enjoyed the bourbon. I personally am not a wine drinker and was glad there was other beverages to choose from. Everyone in our group that tried the wine enjoyed it as well. It was great that they had different flights so we could try many different kinds before choosing a glass. One thing we didn't like about this place is you did have to go up to the bars to order drinks, food or anything at all. They would bring food to your table but everything else you needed to go up to order. There was no wait staff to take orders or even come table to table. You did have to get your own water, plates, silverware, napkins, etc. It did take away from the whole experience and if we had any questions you had to go up and ask everytime.

I've been to a solid number of wineries in my lifetime, and Four Daughters has always been the best. I first went there in 2014 and have basically been thinking about it ever since then. It's about three hours away from my house in a direction we don't go very often, so I didn't get the chance to go back until ten years after the fact. I made a special detour to go by myself, and I didn't have very long, but I got to do a white wine tasting and have the cheeseburger. Truly one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had - and the fries too. Parmesean truffle fries. There wasn't a single wine I didn't like. The moscato-ish one was a bit too sweet, but I would still happily drink it. The Brianna is my absolute favorite, but any of the whites are really spectacular. If you like wine even a little bit - if you like cheeseburgers even a little bit - you have GOT to go.

Great winery! Worth the time to try excellent wines and very tasty food selections. Cheeseburger was amazing 🍔. Cheers 🥂

Food was good, venue was very nice. Very unique approach not having a true wait staff. Would work better if they had somewhere to put used dishes or bus staff that tended to it more. Menu was interesting, no real theme but big portions for price. The pizzas say they serve 2, I'd say at least 3 could eat off it. The polenta and pork belly was interesting, the pork belly could have gone without the sauce. The pizzas were good, and the pretzel was really good. A fun place for a good date night, or special occasion

Great winery! Had been on my list to check out for a while and was not disappointed. A really nice layout, great atmosphere on the patio right by the vines. The food menu was amazing, a ton of great food to choose from. The pizza and nachos were great and the caramel macchiato cake was a great way to end the evening. Loved the variety of drink options as well including wine, cider, bourbon drinks, wine coolers and seasonal cocktails. The only thing to note when sitting outside on a Saturday night is the racetrack not far away was having an event which was pretty loud a times. Overall happy with my visit, and would drive down from the cities again to visit!

Was ordering from a lady who was training in a new person and I was taken aback by her rudeness. This was my first time there and felt that rather than a kind explanation I received a lecture along with dirty looks. I was told to go to the bourbon bar to get my drinks (I ordered at the wine bar because I didn't know) so I did but when the lady from the bourbon kindly walked my drinks to my table she glared at me. My friends have complaints of their own as well but I won't speak for them . The wine and bourbon were good but we did not feel like making purchases after this unwelcoming experience.

Kelly W — Google review

It was a nice experience. The first problem was that they had our group seated at a high-level table, which wasn't appropriate for a person in a wheelchair. When reservations were made, a table that was suitable for a wheelchair was asked for. So they put us in the back room. We were forgotten about when they were serving and was often last. If the owners knew you, they catered to you more than the other guests. Problems could have been avoided if attention to detail was made. Also, not having enough help was a problem checking on all guests to see if everything is okay would be good . The food and music were great.

This winery has some fantastic wines that would easily rival most wine country vineyards on the West Coast. Superb selection of reds and whites. To add to that, they also make excellent apple cider. There is a menu of pizzas, cheese plates, and other foods as well. Baby friendly. Very friendly staff. And to add to all of that, there is also a distillery in the back serving up some good bourbon. Definitely a place to visit if you're in the area.

The food here, while outstanding, lends itself to a larger crowd and big eats. The menu here is very small and they don't really have normal appetizers like some starch and dip or small plates. I ordered the carrot and parsnip soup. I was wonderfully surprised at the depth of flavor and presentation. It was a huge hit for me! It was representative of a top notch chef in the kitchen and definitely makes me want to return when I get a bigger appetite. The wine was crisp and tasty! Highly enjoyable, but it wasn't really like a fine wine you get at a steakhouse. Sweet winery wine, which is okay, but I'd rather enjoy the food and scenery, to be honest. Have been here before in the past and always enjoyed myself, it did not disappoint post-Covid. I just wish the menu had come back to its former self.

Four Daughters is so lovely, I love this winery so much! They have a great wine & cider list. The food is awesome + the space is beautiful. The views are really pretty, too! This is an awesome spot to have a group event or a quiet dinner. I used to love coming here when I lived in Rochester, MN, I would definitely return if I’m ever back in the area!UPDATE (5/7/2024): I returned to Four Daughters this week with a girlfriend of mine (for the first time since 2018/2019) while I was visiting Rochester, Minnesota over recent days and it was an incredible experience!! :-) I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had added The Traditionalist (their distillery) to their location. I'm so impressed that Four Daughters was able to expand during the pandemic!! This place hasn't aged at all - the space remains so beautiful, particularly the newer area that was added to serve their bourbon. Their menu changed a bit since my last visit as well, but definitely for the better. Their flight selections have expanded, which led us to try their Speciality flight in addition to their Loon Juice flight (the latter of which was always a standard order for us over years past). I can attest that their Loon Juice is still SO delish after all of these years. For food, we did the 4D Nachos and Margherita Pizza - each of which were so yummy. We were telling the girls at the bar that we did miss their original menu, which included their baked brie and some other signature dishes, but they explained that there had been a little bit of a simplification of their menu over time due to the pandemic. Despite the changes, it was clear that their standard had remained the same, because the food was so good!! I love Four Daughters so much. Their staff are so wonderful as well, as they remain so kind + accommodating. This place is incredible, you should absolutely visit if you are considering doing so!!

The charcuterie board was excellent we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I particularly don’t usually like them. Because the cheese is usually flavorless and the meats are cheap. They were the opposite it was very good! I got the cheeseburger meal and it was the best burger I’ve had in along time. The meat was tasted like a mixture of high grade steak with grass fed burger. Flavorful and the texture was just right. To call it a hamburger doesn’t do it justice.

I am one of four daughters (and I came here with the other 3 & my mom) and I loved my experience at Four Daughters! We came here from out of the area for a bachelorette party and wish we could have stayed longer to try more. If I’m ever in the area again, I will be back!

Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial is a verdant expanse with a meandering wall, water features and effigies dedicated to American veterans. It honors the brave servicemen and women who sacrificed their lives in defense of freedom. The granite wall bears names of local veterans, while flags representing different branches and military artillery statues stand within the park. It offers ample open space, picnic benches, tennis courts, baseball field, running track and bathrooms.

Wow!! I can not possibly say enough goo things about this Veterans Memorial. This has got to be the best Veterans Memorial I have ever seen. It is so well done, and it really shows deep respect to our Veterans. The walls are covered with beautiful art showing various conflicts, and the overall presentation is beyond superb. When I was there I had an encounter with a Vietnam Veteran who was visiting there, and I got to talk to him for a while and thank him for his service.

Very nice tribute to America's veterans. There is a sculpture in the middle of the memorial of a mother and child. The woman is holding a telegram informing her that her husband was killed in action, as she looks skyward and her child is clutching her side. Timeless and incredibly sorrowful, as is the the medic/corpsman sculpture directly behind the wall. A very nice memorial.

Brought our kiddos here for a 1st time to try skating. Very impressed at the big loop to skate on. Having the pushers for our kids to help learn with was excellent. Our oldest was a quick learner. Will certainly come back!

Wow. Still letting what I sa sink in. Built by citizens with no tax payers money. Awesome

Jim C — Google review

This is one of the most moving veterans' parks I have visited. The statue of the woman and child with the life changing telegram was very touching. A wonderful tribute to those who have served.

Deb C — Google review

An excellent tribute to Minnesota and our nations veterans. I especially liked the detailed history of our American flags.

Kim H — Google review

This is one of the best Veteran's Memorials in the country and built with private funds! It is a great option if you can't make it to DC to see them there! Each war event is highlighted here along with those who died in combat.

What an awesome experience today. The veterans who brought our students on the tour did a great job. I had yet to check this place out. It was very well done.

Rained so we kept our visit short. Artistic and well-executed memorial. Worth the time to honor our veterans and troops.

Memorial Park honoring the brave, the defenders of our freedom and those who gave the greatest sacrifice-their lives. Beautiful granite wall honoring the names of local men and women who served, flags of the different branches, statues depicting their service and actual military artillery. The surrounding park offers plenty of opening space, two play areas, plenty of picnic benches and park shelters, tennis courts, baseball field, dirt running track and public bathrooms. Adjacent pool/water park and golf course are also available. Park and surrounding grounds are clean, but clearly dated and showing need of repair and replacement. Plenty of parking and walking/biking trails.

Another trip to Mayo Clinic in Rochester... But we had our granddaughters with us this time! We had some time kill so I brought them to the incredible Veterans Memorial just down from Mayo Clinic in Soldiers Field area. The girls are only 5 & 8 yrs old and they still enjoyed it. I am retired Air Force and it was an honor to try to explain to them what the gorgeous engraved murals depicted. The life sized statue displays were really impacting and I think they could get the feel for it. Then I showed them all the names of those honorable service members who never came back to their families. Their Father is also in the military. The unbelievable precision in the construction of this Memorial is mind boggling. There is a small space between each piece of of granite. As one of my photos show, looking in that space exactly lines up with the flag pole! There are so many other impressive things to experience but you should come see it for yourself. You will never regret it.God bless those who served and were never able to return home. They are our heros!

We were there for Rochesterfeat. A decent crowd but not much for food lines. There might be a couple more food booths this year.

John D — Google review

The biggest veteran memorial I've seen! Lots of art lines the walls of the memorial, as well as a couple of statues. There's some old canons as well. Beyond that, mostly just fields. They are pretty well-kept though.

Azzie A — Google review

Very well maintained and beautiful space. Seems very popular on a Monday evening in August. Multiple play areas for youngsters, spaces for baseball and soccer. The tributes to veterans are numerous and attractive and contain historical references and lessons.

Daniel P — Google review

Really nice park with plenty of parking. The park also abuts the trail system that runs along the river. The veteran exhibit is quite something. Follow the signs carefully to arrive here.

Andy G — Google review

It's a beautiful park that suits everyone's needs. There is an area for kids ages 8 and up, they have a play area for kids 8 and younger. There is an amphitheater where music from local bands that play for free, and they have a water park. The grass is green, beautiful scenery, benches to sit on to watch your kids play or just read a book and plenty of areas to have a picnic on the tables that are in the shade or in the sun. It is dog friendly as well. There are outhouses and bathrooms available. Handicap accessible and parking.

Quarry Hill Nature Center is a large park that provides visitors with an array of outdoor activities such as hiking on lush trails, exploring the man-made cave, and observing live animals in the nature center. The center offers informative classes for children and adults alike. Furthermore, the grounds are well-maintained with beautiful scenery suitable for hiking enthusiasts, even though some trails may be muddy at times. The staff is knowledgeable and focused on teaching visitors about nature without any distractions.

Just a jewel for the community. It makes me want to live in Rochester. I also have bad knees and there are paved trails, as well as walking past lined with mulch.

Cheryl C — Google review

Hands down the most amazing nature center I have ever seen. The number of animals and interactive displays is impressive. I am so happy our family decided to make a little stop here to stretch on our journey. It took us about 1hr to see and read everything. My kids loved it. I would recommend this center to anyone/everyone.

Katie W — Google review

There are many great trails for running and hiking. This is a very dog friendly place. However, it can be very busy and the loops are not very large.I haven’t tried it yet, but I think you can rent skis or snow shoes in the winter.

Quarry Hill Nature Center is a 320-acre park and nature. It was once a limestone quarry that operated from 1880 to 1905. After its closure, the site was transformed into a nature center and park. It is a wonderful spot to connect with nature, learn, and have fun!

Praful P — Google review

I've always enjoyed long walks with my walking and talking buddy and friends. Growing up on the farm, it's like having a little nature and country in the city, I've taken many photo opportunities of the birds, insects, and plants. The history is interesting. Be sure to enjoy the animals, insects, fish, reptiles & amphibians INSIDE, too. Great learning opportunities for young children.

Julie A — Google review

Quarry Hill is absolutely stunning and beautiful! I come from Florida so the experience was definitely refreshing. Plenty of shade and always something beautiful to look at.

Bus — Google review

This place is really cool! But the staff running the programs are extremely ableist. My son who is in a wheelchair couldn't be included in the school field trip today because the staff was determined to go on the unpaved trails instead of the paved trails. So while the rest of his class went on the unpaved trails, my son was left out. Why should kids with disabilities be segregated like that? Why should they have to conform to what all the typical kids can do? By 2023 I expect more of this place. If your disabled kid is going on a field trip to Quarry Hill, I guess just keep them at home because the staff there do not foster an inclusive environment. I hope this changes sooner than later.

Adam G — Google review

It was awesome hiking trip. The park is well organized and the trails are on Google maps to help you navigate. You can take the asphalt track or you could do some shortcuts hill climbing through the dirt track. You can feel like you are really in nature and it is just a 6 mins drive. There were so many families with their children and dogs.I encourage everyone to go in the weekends to regenerate some positive energy.

Ali A — Google review

Quarry Hill is an excellent nature center, and I always enjoy visiting it! There are a variety of indoor exhibits, including a large aquarium, many live reptiles and amphibians, a beehive, and a bird observation room. The renovations are beautiful, and the reading room for kids is especially nice. Outdoors, there is an extensive trail system (both paved and unpaved). Quarry Hill also offers nature programs and is a great place to volunteer.

Joanna P — Google review

This nature center has beautiful exhibits and a lot of nice, quieter spaces set aside from each other. We hiked up the hills on either side, taking in the quarry ruins (complete with a fox on our path) as well as the charming and bloom-filled Oak Savannah restoration area. The bathrooms were clean, the trails well marked, and the nature abundant. Everything you'd want from a nature center.

It is a cool and secure trail with tarmac walkways. A beautiful scenery to behold and nice for nature admirers. It has long trekking trails. And the air is ever fresh and a gentle breeze with the aroma of wild flowers.

Great place to explore, love the trails, and love learning the history of the area. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Mighty M — Google review

Finally made a trip to aee the cave and it was cool. It's actually not a guided tour because the cave is small enough for you to go in on your own but it is helpful to bring your own large flashlight if you want to see a little better. We used our phone flashlight and that was all right too.

Roxy Z — Google review

Beautiful with lots to see and do! Hiking and a lovely nature center. They band birds so you might get to see that as well

Hilda O — Google review

It's my favorite place to go and escape the city noise. Perfect for wandering and exploration. My kids and I love the nature center as well as the nicely kept trails. Another highlight is the large amount of paved trails, which makes this park extra accessible for all abilities.

Nicole B — Google review

We adore Quarry Hill! Whether you are adults going for a hike, or kids looking to visit the nature center; whether you come with a school group and a structured program, or a toddler and preschooler looking for things to do on a gray or cold day: This place has something for you!In the nature center, there are snakes that are native to Minnesota, fish, turtles, insects, frogs, and information and displays about birds - as well as a climbing structure/"treehouse", in a book room for even the youngest children. There are even fun donation bins available for help feeding the nature center animals and maintaining trails and outdoor buildings.Outside, there are miles and miles of paths, whether paved, wood chips, or naturally worn in the grass and dirt. There is a beautiful pond in the middle with a very small island you can walk out onto, and even the pond as wildlife such as ducks and geese who stay over or stop by, and even beavers. We were really lucky and saw the beavers diving down to the bottom of the mostly frozen pond, and bringing pond weeds back up to eat on the surface of the ice. The pond never freezes over completely because there is a pump. You cannot walk on the ice! But that's just fine because even a winter pond is home to many animals, and they deserve to have the pond to themselves, in that way.In the winter, there are groomed trails for cross country skiing, as well as skis available. This year was not good for that because we've had so little snow. But most Winters, outdoors at Quarry Hill is a cross country skiing Destination, in cooperation with local school cross country/Nordic teams.

Enjoyable. Saw many eagles. Captain held mic too close to his mouth creating interference which was irritating. The eagle center narrator held it away from his mouth, much much better. Nice bar, great staff.

Stopped here over the weekend during a little day trip from the Twin Cities. I believe the gentleman there said they are new owners. Enjoyed a glass of hard cider while we sat outside with our dog. Bought a bottle of wine and a bag of Honey Gold apples. The apples are DELICIOUS and I thought the price was excellent! Friendly and cute little store.

Diane W — Google review

We came by on a Sunday in late October, probably the last weekend of good weather for the year. Fall colors were at peak on the drive to the cidery, and the orchard looked beautiful as well. We found the place to be busy but not cram-packed; there was seating indoors and out for people to enjoy their drinks. We had only one person ahead of us in line, so the ordering process went fast. We ordered a cider flight, which included four drinks; at this point in the season, they had five to choose from. We also ordered some cookies and little apple strudels from the bakery case in the adjoining room, which also had different apple bags available for purchase. Several of the apples had a samples available, kept under a dome to keep away the fruit flies that were swirling around. The ciders and pastries were tasty. I browsed the shop afterward. This would be a good place to gift shop. They had jams and jellies, home decorative items that kept to a wine theme, and of course, their ciders and wines.

Beth C — Google review

We came in on a Thursdayin the early afternoon. A flight is 2 ounce pours of 4 wines, 4 meads, or 2 wines and 2 meads. I found 8 things I wanted to sample, so I -had- to get two flights... and some crackers. We sat outside under the porch and sipped wine for an hour before we paid for the flight and our other purchases.A beautiful day out in the sun checking out the fall colors.

We visited yesterday and loved it. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. They have a good selection of wine and ciders. The ciders are exceptionally great- even my husband liked them and he is not normally a hard cider drinker. The Red Hawk was our favorite. We can’t wait to visit again when in the area!
