Banaras is famous for its chaat, and the best outlet in Varanasi is the Kashi Chat Bhandar. This place offers many varieties of chaats like Tamatar Chaat, Dahi Puri, Papdi, Panipuri, Chura Matar.
Perfect chat I have ever eaten!!! Tomato chat is delicious, every one who visit Varanasi has to eat! It's a small place thronged people, a big group were eating standing outside. There are few tables too, if you want to sit and enjoy. Though there is so much crowd, the service is quite fast and good. The person who served us even wanted to know if we are satisfied !

I won't hesitate to say that this place serves the best chat food in Varanasi.Must Must Must try Tamatar Chat. Authentic Recipe and that Ghee Taste..makes it too yummy. I would have rated over 5* if possible. It is located at prime location Godowlia Chauraha and always flooded with customers. Service is super fast, I don't think that we waited for over 20-30 *seconds* for any item we ordered. We tried atleast 9-10 different items and all were एक से बढ़कर एक.!!

If you're a food enthusiast and haven't yet experienced the flavors of Banras Chat, you're truly missing out on something extraordinary! I recently had the pleasure of visiting this hidden gem, and I must say, it has easily become one of my all-time favorite food spots. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the tantalizing aroma of spices and savory delights. The vibrant ambiance and friendly staff immediately made me feel at home. As I glanced at the menu, my taste buds were already tingling with anticipation.

Loved the chat. Its justifies the hype.Pocket pinch will be bit on higher side but the chat is just so so good.Situated at main road, this place was is bit crowded so you may end up in a long queueHowever service is quick. They should think of expanding the outlet. If you are planning to visit Varanasi, do visit this place.

One of the best chaat in Varanasi,if you are super foodie and can go crazy for food especially chaat then this is your place because here the crowd is too huge that you need to wait for turn to have hot bowl of chaat . Recently Nita Ambani visited there and had palak chaat .Trust me the wait was worth to had awesome hot bowl of chat in your hands after an half hour queue ,I got my hands on this delicious aloo tikki chaat served in leafy bowl which is not only adding flavours to chaat but also biodegradable. Super Tasty with environment friendly concept .Varanasi Jaa k yha ka chaat nhi try Kiya toh phir kya khaaya.Tomato chaat is also very famous here

Kashi Chat Bhandar is an absolute gem for street food lovers in Varanasi! Located in the bustling lanes of this historic city, it serves some of the most delicious and authentic chaat you'll ever taste. The flavors are vibrant, with the perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and sweet that makes every bite a delight. The menu offers a variety of chaat options, each prepared with fresh ingredients and a lot of care. The aloo tikki chaat and tamatar chaat are must-tries—crispy, flavorful, and topped with a generous serving of chutneys and spices. However the waiting time can be more as this place is always full of crowd.Kashi Chat Bhandar captures the true essence of Varanasi’s street food culture. It's the perfect spot to indulge in local flavors and experience the culinary heritage of the city. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this place is a must-visit for an authentic and satisfying chaat experience.

**Kashi Chat Bhandar** is one of the oldest and best places for chaat in Varanasi. They serve a variety of local dishes, each full of flavor and made with care. The owner is a humble and friendly person, adding to the charm of the place. If you want to try authentic Varanasi street food, this is the spot to go!

I recently visited Kashi Chat Bhandar and was quite impressed with the food. The chat was delicious and lived up to its reputation. It’s definitely a great spot if you’re looking for authentic flavors. However, the management needs improvement. During my visit, the place was crowded, and it seemed like the staff struggled to manage the rush efficiently. Additionally, the hygiene could be better, especially considering the high volume of visitors. If they can improve on cleanliness and crowd management, it would be an even better experience.

Fantastic experience of having some great chat items... Some of them are super tasty, and probably you may have never had elsewhere. Must visit place when in Kashi.Just a warning: Tamatar chat was spicy and one bowl was enough to create some stomach upset if one is not used to eating spicy stuff. If you are travelling after eating, then just tasting may do...

Don’t understand why this place is so over hyped 🤷🏻♀️ It’s a very average chaat shop which is unnecessarily over crowded and famous. It’s situated in Godolia chowk which is always full of people and specially this chaat bhandaar. You won’t even get a place to sit although their service is super fast. The overly famous Tamaatar chaat is very okayish in taste, a lil sweet. I was expecting a waoo experience after having it but I would not even want to try it again. The aloo tikki chaat was so average, I had even 100 times better chaat at other places in North India. This was definitely not even close to it.My overall experience was 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Very much over hyped and exaggerated by the influencers. Over crowded. Owner is rude. Behaviour is like he is doing favour on us.Taste: ok, nothing special.Price: little bit over priced. It should be 30rs per plate. They are charging 50Rs per plate.Tomato chat was averageSamosa chat was goodChura Mutter was average

I recently visited Kashi Chat Bhandar and had an overall awesome experience. Despite the crowded atmosphere, the staff managed things efficiently. The taste of the dishes was delightful, especially the authentic Tomato Chat that stood out with its rich flavors. However, I would advise caution when it comes to the ice cream and falooda; they didn't meet expectations and left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. Perhaps there's room for improvement in that section of the menu. What impressed me the most was the staff's ability to handle the crowd effectively, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. The ambiance was vibrant and lively, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. The star of the show, the Tomato Chat, showcased the authentic flavors that Kashi Chat Bhandar is known for. The blend of spices and freshness made it a memorable dish, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. In conclusion, Kashi Chat Bhandar offers a wonderful culinary experience, with a bustling atmosphere and delicious treats. While the ice cream and falooda might need some refinement, the standout Tomato Chat makes this eatery a must-visit for those seeking authentic and flavorful street food.

Quite a famous name in Varanasi.. Very close to the mandir. We were very excited to try their chaat but only to find that it was way too overrated.. The taste of chaat was average.. They may be using the best ingredients but there is too much crowd and of course in such cases quantity takes precedence over quality.. Varanasi has so many street food options.. May try others.

Much hyped. Same taste as any other chat corners of the UP East area. Overcrowded, no place to sit. Had to wait for 15 minutes for aloo tikki chaat. Have to stand and eat on the road with bikes and rickshaw moving around. Another average place which is hyped. Not family-friendly.

I tried almost everything on the menu at Kashi Chat Bhandar, including Aloo Tikki, Tamater Chat, Samosa Chat, Dahi Bhalla, Bhalla Papdi, Kulfi Faluda, and Mix Chat. Out of everything, the Kulfi Faluda stood out the most—it was very tasty and sweet, definitely the highlight of my visit. As for the other items, they were average—not bad, but not particularly outstanding either.

The chat is good- loved the tamatar and Palak patta chat. Service is also quite efficient and speedy. Even though the space inside is quite small and cramped, they manage to give you a table relatively quickly which was quite impressive. Would recommend to go at not non peak hours since it gets quite crowded and gets difficult to eat in peace.

Oh my God! I do not know If I will do these amazing creations any justice by describing them with words. You just need to go there and sample it for yourself, the quality and taste is out of this world, with their mix of spices.....I sampled a tamatar chat which was really yummy and unique. And I tried their dahi puri which by far is the best chat dish I have ever had, so I had seconds LOL. I would definitely catch a plane just to come sample this dish again.Worth every penny.

Hands down this place serves best chat in Varanasi! We heard about this place from our accommodation owner. He praised it and said to go here and have chat as dinner.Food verdict- I highly recommend the tamatar chaat. Loved everything else too. try everything and decide your favourite. We ordered everything. It was yummy!Cost- We were 10 people and the bill approximately was Ra 1460. Each one of us had at-least three plates of chat. The cost is fairly decent if you don’t consider it as a junk food but as a meal. It’s always crowded and you have to wait at-least 20-30 min to get a table. People just eat outside standing.

I must say they serve the best Chaat in Varanasi. My Fav was Tomato Chaat.. mind blowing Palak chaat too was good, Kulfi falooda again amazing stuff. The only stuff which was not good at all was Golgappe the potato stuffing inside was not fresh it was stinking like someone puked inside it. But hats off to chaat varieties overall excellent stuff. But please try & check golgappe might be due to summers the potato stuffing started stinking.

One of the most famous eateries in Varanasi, this place is a roadside eatery and has very limited seats available. Most of the time, you have to stand at eat on the street. There will be small to a long queue depending on the days you visit but there'll be queue for sure.Every visitor to Varanasi must visit this place as it offers amazing chaat (most of them priced at Rs 50 per plate).I recommend aloo tikki chaat, tamatar chaat and samosa chaat. If you are someone who's looking for healthy eating options, this place is definitely not for you. But, you would definitely love to treat your taste buds.

This shop should be a must visit in your itinerary if you are a chat lover!!Tasty food.Fast service. ( time will differ according to your order)Way too crowded.Limited sitting arrangement.Accepts online and cash payments.Affordable rates.Hand wash facility is available.I will suggest one to walk and go since parking is tough to find because of the crowd. It gets a lot crowded after the Ganga aarti so if you want to sit and enjoy your chat I would suggest you to go before hand.Happy Eating!!PS: we had tried samosa chat which was amazing!!

Over hyped has caused too much of rush. It’s always overcrowded and hence the quality of chaat has definitely gone down. They don’t have time to provide you crispy chat , aloo chat is under cooked not crispy at all. Too much of chatni spoils the flavours.Other places like Gopi Chat Bhandar etc offers personal touch and provides personal touch making chat to your flavours.

Amazing place for chats The tamatar chat was very different from the regular chats you have, especially if you are from the Southern part of India. Special mention to the Palak pata chat. The curds in the chat was mildly sweet and the Saute ki chutney or sweet chutney as everyone calls was amazing . Just that it's located in a crowded street but not a place to miss if you are in Banaras and if you love your chats .

Behaviour of some staffs is also not so good, Little bit hygiene issue, and Cost is also little bit High as compare to others shop. Because of location of this shop people come easily.Thank you....

Just an overhyped place with too much crowd and waiting for just one order...it was very difficult to get the order in hands after paying the amount one needs to stand and ask multiple times for the order and you'll get the order as soon as the person standing there sees you or else keep asking ....tomato chaat was too much spicy along with that didn't feels that it is freshly prepared and the aaloo tikki was also not so good. I hope they work on better management of order and people.

Very lively place.Top crowded during Saawan but still accessible and can stand and eat.Liked the paalak chaat. Tomato chaat was average. Also due to crowds the space was smelling of the leftovers tossed out so definitely waste disposal needs work to be able to stand and eat in peace (only a problem for people with high sense of smell)But overall enjoyable with friends.

Kashi Chat Bhandar, located near Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi, is renowned for its delectable street food! After Ganga Arthi I made my way through the vibrant streets to Kashi Chat Bhandar, located near Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi, This tiny Chat Cafe is renowned for its delectable street food. I opted to try their delightful tamatar chutney. This hotspot was teeming with both locals and tourists. I joined the crowd and shouted out my order which was served in 3 minutes.Juicy smashed tomatoes garnished with crispy sev, finely chopped onions, perfevtly blended spices, coriander leaves, green chili, and lemon juice came together in a symphony of flavours. Served in a handmade clay pot the whipped curd and tamarind chutney added a tangy twist. Presentation was a feast oof the eyes. All of this at 11pm at night!!cha

The chaats are yummy no doubt but the craze about this place is just going out of hands . The food bloggers around the country have hyped it up so much that people gather here uncontrollably making it a mess every day . Pushing and fighting for chaat is just not my cup of tea . During my recent trip to Varanasi after so much struggle finally I was able to grab a few things on their menu . Tamatar chat , palak patta chaat, Chura matar chaat are some of the items that are good . The owner was very humble and sweet and I had a great conversation with him .

It holds a special place in Varanasi’s culinary scene, attracting both locals and tourists. Why It’s Always Crowded: The constant crowd is a testament to its popularity and the quality of its food. People flock here for the authentic taste and the vibrant street food experience that Kaashi Chaat Bhandaar offers.Neeta Ambani’s Visit: The visit by Neeta Ambani, a prominent figure, has further boosted its fame. Her visit brought additional attention to the eatery, highlighting its significance and drawing even more visitors eager to experience the renowned chat.

Lakshmi Chai Wala in Banaras has garnered significant attention, partly due to a visit by Neeta Ambani, which has contributed to its overhyped status. While the tomato chaat they serve is indeed good and has a distinct flavor, it's worth noting that similar quality chaat is available at many other local shops. The popularity of the place has led to heavy crowds, making the visit less enjoyable. The congestion can detract from the overall experience, turning a simple food outing into a stressful affair. If you're craving tomato chaat, you might find it more rewarding to explore other, less crowded chaat vendors in the area.

Very hyped chaat place in Banaras. It’s a one time visit place to test the hype! The tamatar chaat was unique which we tried for first time. However did not like it much as it was too oily and just a tangy gravy not accompanied by any bread/ crisp. Aaloo tikki was below average. It is very very crowded, dirty and not managed properly. There are other local chaat places which one should try for a better experience.

Kashi Chat Bhandar - When at Kashi, this is a mandatory place to stop by for their delectable chat dishes. Very busy and crowded most of the time, it is high time, they increase their counters and organize better serving of the dishes. While serving in the small bowls, the chat dishes overflow as the bowls are pretty delicate and its tough to handle. Service and hygiene outside the store needs to be improved drastically.Speaking about the chat dishes, I loved them. Benaras famous Tamatar Chat just rocked. Papdi chat, Palak Patta Chat, Dahi Puri, Dahi Papdi Chat were awesome and the Gulab Jamoon was terrific.

So I finally got to visit the viral Kashi Chat Bhandar and here's my honest review about it:Although, the Tamatar chaat is the best selling item on the shop but I feel it's a bit overrated as its quantity is very less against the price (Rs. 50) and it just feels like having a bhaaji in the kulhad, nothing unbelievable.I would rather suggest trying items like Aloo Tikki chaat and Samosa chaat as their taste and quantity suffices their respective price.

I have a slightly different review than what others have posted. The food overall is good but the hygiene factor is absolutely pathetic. Plus the service is not up to the mark. If the shop opens at a particular time then I suppose they need to set everything and then open it to the public. Public waiting for half hour and more doesn't make sense. Also, the people serving there are not as polite as they should be. I strongly believe that a brand becomes big with great service especially in the food industry. If it's such a prominent brand then they are doing nothing to keep the image of the brand.

A well known treasure of Banaras, I'm a big time chaat muncher and trust me you can't find a better tasting chaat in this price in entire Uttar Pradesh, I've been living in Lucknow for moreover two years and honestly the hyped Royal cafe or the shukla chaat house comes even close to the Kashi Chat Bhandar.Talking about the option, tamatar chat is a very classic choice here but if you're someone who's not a big fan of tomatoes like me I would suggest you to opt for papdi chaat or aloo tikki chat (just don't go for tamatar chat only coz it's hyped). Their Dahi Puri is to die for! Overall I can say Kashi Chat Bhandar played a significant role in making my Banaras trip great.
